The people that said bad comments about Bukele are those who are relatives in some way to these criminals in jail now or they're simply part of those opponents politicly to Bukele

Great video! Great work! I was born in El Salvador and moved to the U.S. in 1981. My last visit was in 1994, 30 years ago! I've been following the news about El Salvador and watched many videos of people like you visiting El Salvador. Thank you for giving me a good insight of what El Salvador is like today. So I'm planning to visit El Salvador with my wife and kids this summer. It will be the first time my kids visit El Salvador. By the way your Spanish is pretty good! 👍🏼

Thank you for visiting El Salvador. I only have a few corrections. In your translation of the woman that you interviewed at El Boquerón, she actually said, “it’s not so much human rights that’s the issue” which you translated as “there aren’t much human rights”. That’s very misleading. Also, the gentleman in the car when you asked how much approval did he think the president had, he answered, “they say it’s 90% on tv” to which you reacted kind of shocked. The fact is CID GALLUP has had his approval ratings over 90% consistently. Even the opposition media has been forced to acknowledge these numbers. So it’s not so much local tv but internationally accredited polling organizations that state this. You seemed to be surprised also that there are people who are not happy with the president’s methods but let’s remember that in EVERY single country there will be a minority that isn’t happy no matter what you do. She obviously was affected by having a family member imprisoned so her opinion is biased although she did acknowledge the country is safer so it has benefited the greater good. You seemed to be looking for the darker side which is understandable because you are skeptical about the radical change. The fact is El Salvador was not a place you wanted to even visit 5 years ago, and your visit has given weight to the fact that it is now safe and the right people are in jail. Thank you for your visit.

Thank you very much for your detailed message Eduardo! 🤗 Sorry for my misunderstanding of the interviewees sentence about human rights.
I was impressed by 90% rather than shocked 😃
And I'd like to clarify that I'm not looking for the darker side, but just trying to make sure I fairly account for the opposite thought and not be dismissive of the minority's concerns, but I have expressed several times in the video how happy I am that El Salvador has gone through such an overall positive change in such a short period of time. In fact I've been talking about El Salvador's changes in half of my social conversations lately and wishing such changes could come to all countries in a similar situation.

@@Persian-Voyagers my apologies if I misjudged your intentions. I moved to El Salvador from the US in 2015 and had a few close calls with gangs. And seeing the changes I never thought possible become reality, I’m overwhelmed with joy and am a fervent believer that human rights must be universal but as president Bukele says, why should assassins and terrorists be treated better in jail than our poorest of citizens? President Bukele is trying to give everyone an opportunity to overcome poverty by eliminating the greatest obstacle: insecurity. Now we have better technology opportunities, better healthcare (new improvements announced last night), education (computers for all students in the public system), CUBOs (Urban Centers for Wellness and Opportunity) for young people, better roads and infrastructure, etc. So I have seen the rebirth and continued march forward for a suffered country. I also host travelers, mostly backpackers from all over the world and I had one guy from Italy tell me that the only two countries where he has been impressed by the warmth of people have been El Salvador and Iran. Saludos!

Thank you for your visit, Human Rights are a joke, just watch what is happening in Palestine and in the West, where police brutality is a daily occurrence, In El Salvador a war in terrorism has been won with just a couple of casualties and a very small % of wrongful captures, in any other country those figures would be greater, On the contrary El Salvador Government has reclaimed and granted back Human Rights to the Law abiding citizens and capture the terrorist and criminals, because there is freedom and liberty the remaining 3% opposition is free to keep their views and opinions.
