I had RR3D years ago on my PS1 and it broke sadly, so a month ago I bought it again for two reasons: 1) Old school gaming 2) The superb music If anything, I think this was the song that got me into metal, I was only about 9 or 10 at the time but this song with CIV and Full On The Mouth changed the way I listened to music and it's not gonna change any day soon =D.
This song was actually off their first album, 'Lemonade and Brownies'. Most of their music was more hard rock influenced at the time. They wrote Fly for the second album, and it really didn't fit with the rest of the music on the record, and they wrote it as a joke at first, but the producer David Kahne loved it so much he convinced the band to model the following albums off of it.
I've heard that for the second album they actually wanted to do a sorta Metallica tribute to the fact that they wanted to originally call Kill em All, Metal Up Your Ass. they were gonna call it Shiny Solid Object Up Your Heiny Hole, and it was going to be all semi loosely based Metallica covers. Now I am not sure of the validity of that because I heard that a long long time ago but that would have been freaking hilarious and awesome.

Lawlz it's Head from Korn on guitar! But seriously, Sugar Ray were so different back in the days before. They could've been a decent nu-metal band if they kept at this rate.
Damn this song gives me a Sex Pistols meets Motorhead type of vibe. It's like the perfect fusion of Punk and Metal. Who would have thought just a year or so later these guys would sell out and turn into a quasi-boy band singing mainstream pop music. My mind is blown.
For better or worse, Sugar Ray really went through an identity change over their career. Certainly better for their wallets, though a few of us miss the moshable older material. Can't really blame them, though. It's tough out there for musicians, even successful ones.

I've heard a number of different things about Sugar Ray - they sold out, they didn't actually like their sound before and wanted to change it, they organically decided to change their direction.... I don't know what the truth is, but I want to see the universe where this Sugar Ray got popular and stuck around. It is _criminal_ that the only time I heard this song before now was on a soundtrack for a Road Rash game.
I tell the answer of what happened to our 'sound' in a video on my channel. Fly was really an accident. I won't go into detail here but yeah.. Most people don't know..
@@murphykarges7584 Wow, I did not know any of the band members had a UA-cam channel. I just checked out the Fly video, and I'm excited to look at more. I should also clarify, "old" and "new" Sugar Ray is good music, I like both, I just prefer the heavier sound in general, if that makes sense. I just feel like my comment could have come off as like, trashing the new sound, and a lot of metal/rock fans who like heavy stuff like to dunk on more pop-rock sounds. But I think both have merit.

Why not? Oh you probably only knew us from the radio hits then?
This is the song I saw on "Beavis and Butt-Butt Head for the first time..."Sugar
Ray has mellowed, and I'm glad...Love this love this...😎😎😎😎😎
Road Rash on PlayStation. Hello childhood.
Road Rash 64 .....Hello childhood :3
That was a good part of most childhoods especially mine
Lol remember before Sugar Ray sold out? And I don't blame them. Get paid, this gem will always exist.
To think there existed a time when this band was actually cool.
They were good that year... was it 1994?
No. We got the album deal in '94. We put this out 95. toured all that year and some of 96.
1995
Damn this song gives me a Sex Pistols meets Motorhead type of vibe. It's like the perfect fusion of Punk and Metal. Who would have thought just a year or so later these guys would sell out and turn into a quasi-boy band singing mainstream pop music. My mind is blown.
This band is like many socialist parties, that after they rise to government power they turn into capitalist parties
did we sell out?
シュガーレイの曲で1番好き🎸
fuck yeah i played that game for hours upon hours back in the day man
Road rash 64 ❤️
Favorite Song Ever ! 5*...I havent heard this in forever
I fucking love this video
For better or worse, Sugar Ray really went through an identity change over their career.
Certainly better for their wallets, though a few of us miss the moshable older material. Can't really blame them, though. It's tough out there for musicians, even successful ones.
"It's long"..that voice sounds like Fred Durst. A LOT.
Quien el 2024? 🔥🎸🔥
Fuckin Road Rash 64.
omfg this brings back so many memories lol! LOVED this song as a kid!
When I was a kid I thought he was saying "Made in the shade."

Corporate sellouts don't come in a more obvious package than Sugar Ray.
Celio19891 Nickleback too, they went to Hard Rock or Alternative Rock, and dove into a little Soft Rock (or I call Pussy Rock); and then just stayed there.
Bobman9420 Ah yes Nickleback, another of music's great disapointments. We could also name Metallica and the band that used to be Jefferson Airplane.
Celio19891 Metallica is not as bad. But I get were your going.
I prefer their later stuff but i thnk LIT should be mentioned here also
and even the strokes. even tho the band still kicks ass
ROAD RASH 3D listening in 2016 o/
2018
2020
They got that dance from the sixties band Freddie and the Dreamers, look up the song - I'm Telling You Now
Road Rash 3D? Road Rash 64>
9a AAA
I played both and trust me, 3DO was way better
@@psychobillynumbnuts1 Road Rash 64 is not pretty, nor slick, but was the only one who let you actually pick your racer, and had a kickass multiplayer!
I listen to this song whenever I ride my Harley and cattleprod random passerbys.
2019 like
I still play Road Rash 3D, what a amazing game with this tracks
