I was on “Family Feud” with my family and we had a thrown question. It was “Name something you would land on if you fell through a window”? It never made it to air because no one could come up with an answer on the board!
When "Family Feud" premiered in 1976, you didn't see the audience whenever Gene Wood said, "Let's start the 'Family Feud!'" When do you think they started to show the audience at the beginning of each episode?
Story goes that the early "Feud" episodes were taped at ABC's old Vine St. Theater in Hollywood, which had the audience seated below the stage, before it moved to ABC's Prospect Studios.

I wonder if Richard was mad that Match Game 76 was an answer LOL
11.5 years old. My how times have changed. Thanks for pisting.
This was when Family Feud was a clean family show. Not at all like what we have today. Too vulgar to watch anymore!
Wow Robin!
Interesting set-design and intro.
Name a TV show with a number in its title.
"I work part-time at McDonalds"
Nowadays that "botched" face-off would haven been edited out.
I can't believe Ben Vereen didn't make the first survey.
I was thinking Ben Johnson, but at the same time I knew that was probably not realistic.
I believe it. Had this been after 1977, he would have been up there with his fame playing in “Roots” when also came on ABC like Family Feud.
Robin has huge bazooms!
took my words there...
94 people said the number 1 answer on the double question. Nothing matched that number in later episodes/incarnations. Talk about unanimous.
I always prefer to buy my stoves at furniture stores!! haha!!!
"Stalag 17" was a classic movie, not a TV show.
MGM did "Gentle Ben".
When this show was aired on ABC daytime, it was my babysitter night with Karen & Karla Stoddard (age 16).

No dinging bell when number one answer was revealed.
The dinging bell can be heard.
It's a pity that they did pretty well on fast money and get them all right, just merely couldn't make it.
the bowden family is my family.
Where is Robin Bowden these days? She is absolutely Gorgeous!
классное шоу!
and it's easy once you see the answers
So all the 1971 to 1975 episodes of Password were erased so they make space for Family Feud. Those tapes cost money
Nice people but didn't do too well.
If he would've said BET he would have won the money...maybe
WHICH ONE THROWN OUT QUESTION
This host is too touchy feely
Why didn't Richard kiss any of the black women? Just an observation.
Prior to each show, the ladies were asked if they wanted Richard to kiss them or not. They probably just declined.
Well he was not really kissing the women at this point because it was the first season. He did not really start until later.
