He is great modeler (one of best on youtube), but top level? He barely started to climb into that mountain. For example check work of Andrzej Ziober. Especially his Mi6 which has taken 6 years of work. No PE parts, no 3d printing, no CNC. www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/Ziober.htm His level is unachievable for us mortals.
This could be the future. Imagine if Airfix could scan some of their old kits they will never remake and give guys the chance to build them for a reasonable price. Great job.
The last video from Plasmo was released 2 months ago, so I was affraid that David quit making models. I'm addicted to this videos, they are better than movies :)
ALL of the vehicles in the movie were 100% real. Real chassis, real v-12's and V-8's, real steel. They really chopped up a bunch of old classics and made the vehicles for the movie. They all run on their own power in the movie, they all still exist. Just in case anyone didn't know.
@@slendrick yeah the winter break ended and now we have to be digital for a week. And on Monday I felt my soul leave my body when the first meet started lol
You have created the vehicle from my favorite franchise and I absolutely love it you inspired me do get back into models and try these kinds of things out I have been doing it for a while now thank you Plasmo for being a good youtuber.
This is why resin 3D printers are such a big deal. Its still difficult to print for the average person, but in the hands of a motivated person, they can do amazing things. Well played Plasmo, i hope this is the start of a golden age of modeling subjects that don't get their time in the sun.
Už nějakou dobu zpět jsem přestal modelařit protože jsem se potkal se spoustou potíží a nezdarů, ale tvoje videa mě motivovala k tomu abych znovu začal díky moc, skvělá práce a vynikající videa.
I just got my first 3D resin printer a few months ago and absolutely love it 😎 it makes conversions and kitbashing so much fun I can just print a bunch of bits and have fun.
"Well, what's this about soldier?" "Look at the screen sir." "What am I looking at? There's nothing on the map." "Exactly, sir." "Wait! Where's Plasmo?" "He's not there, sir. That's what I'm trying to tell you." "My God! He's off the map! There's no telling what he'll do now!"
Not saying it in a negative way because the model and paint job are incredible and your skills are amazing but I'm kind of sad you skip the arm on the driver's door.
Hey David, how does it sound, that in between the big 3 month projects, you could always do a few quick 1/72 Aircraft builds, that would take 3 days to build and upload, so there’d be more content being uploaded more regurarly? Love the big builds too :)
@MIGHTY MQB I understand your view, but exceptions aside, most of us who are actually model builders will never do anything this extreme, nor will we ever own a 3-D printer, even if we could afford one. It’s fine I guess if you just want to be entertained, but there are no doubt plenty of videos out there about 3-D printing. I may be reading too much into it, but to me when a genius has basically already done it all the “normal” way and tries to top himself, this extremely elaborate type of effort is all that is left. As amazing as it is, it leaves a lot of us behind.
I wasn't too sure about those printed parts at first - and then you proved that [liquid or filament] the 3D printer is just another tool in the workshop. Work, technique and skill are still in the human hand and, sir, you are the testament to this. I'm sure you could have 'scratch-built' this model using bits of breakfast cereal and chewing gum and it would look just as incredible! Unless you also have a shrink-machine and that model is in fact the actual movie truck, I almost can't believe my eyes! Thankyou David for your inspiration and a very happy new year my friend.
I've been watching your videos for over a year now. Made me get into modeling and painting. Just got a resin printer this week because I meant to do just what you did in this video. I'm currently knee deep in learning Blender basics so I can modify parts. Thanks for the inspiration!
Great build. Because of you i build 1:35 War rig truck with tanker and pod with resin print on elegoo saturn 3 ultra. Wirklich grosse Klasse deine Videos.
I was wondering what was talking so long, the dude 3D printed and entire model. Impressive, most impressive.

is not enough for him to made models, even manufacture his own parts. he need to assemble the 3d printer himself. that is PLASMO craft level
Prusa 3D printers are funny to build. I made another type of Prusa model by myself too. It would be shame for him to buy it assembled.
@Oliver Viehland scratch building the 3D printer took him a while, then he weathered it to make it more interesting
@Oliver Viehland When the day comes that a machine canreproduce itself, we're all ****ed.😁
Next up: how to weather a 3D printer with oils and pigments
I am a bit dissappointed, that he did not actually build it from scratch, but just assembled it. He is definetly slacking (-:
I'm smelling a Mad Max diorama with several of the movie cars... In few words... A work of art.
Oh that would be so PERFECT! Want to see the Gigahorse !!
I was going to suggest he make the other war rig from the movie but I like your idea A LOT better!
