i think people talk sh... about bnh cus it gets bad in the last seasons i liked the anime until season 4 and part of season 5 but it gets slow, and im not happy with the way is the manga going but the first 4 seasons are awesome
The only issue with the show is the fandom, because MHA by far is just one of the most FUN animes to watch in its genre (for me at least), and it’s just very enjoyable in general. I dropped it around season 3 but Nick is reminding me of what made me like the anime in the first place, and now I’m thinking about picking it up again
I wish more people had his kind of perspective, honestly. Too many people care about what other people think, and that stops them from enjoying things they'd probably like.
We need to stop being so toxic for no reason and let people enjoy the things they want to enjoy.

The thing I love about MHA is that it takes the tropes and puts a fresh spin on them. Also, it's obvious Hirokoshi obviously loves western superhero comics, and goes plus ultra with recreating many of the abilities with different twists to them as well.
people say mha is basic and follows tropes.....but a guy who told ,me that loves invincible....don't get me wrong i love invincible too. but its basically dragon ball superman. you feel? lol people really use "invincible has gore and is for adults" to the next level. can't we all just admit we love these cheesy tropes?
@@b__w_4565 I also feel it's tiring to hear people complaing about tropes... Tropes are not what makes something bad or good, it's about how the show is done. It's like complaining and hating a show with a great detective who's super smart because Sherlock Holmes already exists.
Demon Slayer, JJK, Chainsaw Man, etc are also basically following tropes if we start complaining like that. But they also create something more out of it, a sort of mix you can only find in those show. Tropes exists because it makes patterns that give sense to a world and from time to time we can break them to create something unexpected. So the point is to find the right recipes that'll make it interesting and fun to watch.
I just hope that the anime community stop gatekeeping every show they don't like.
For instance, I didn't like Bleach or Nagatoro, but bruh, I would love to recommend it to someone else. Try it. At best you'll like it. At worst, we will be two to discuss what we didn't like about it. Freaking win-win.

Nick enjoys anime with a disturbing level of intensity.
The fans are weird and thats it, its not even that theyre bad(sometimes they are) but most are just cringe mfs who make weird ships and weird behavior. The anime is great and only keeps on getting better each season.
You call them fans, I call them stans. True fans would just enjoy the story, characters, and/or animation, while stans would cross the line
Being a fan doesn't mean you can't criticise something you like though: of course many fans talk with their guts instead of their head, but if you are able to analyse something without being biased (either positively or negatively) why shouldn't you be allowed to discuss about it?

The villain at the end is the VA of Inumaki from JJK as well so maybe thats why you recognize it. But for me i can only kind of hear the resemblance. Amazing voice actor.

The reason why bakugo is such a hothead is because of his quirk, nitroglycerin (its what is in his sweat, that's how he is able to cause his explosions) is known for slowing down the heart so if he isn't always yelling or screaming, or in high stressed situations, then he would slow down so much that he would literally pass out.

I'm so glad you're understanding Bakugou by the end of this episode. For some reason it seems like most people watch multiple seasons of the show and still think he's just some two-dimensional angry bully. Episode 8 is where I started really appreciating him as a character, I'm glad you are too.

Bakugo clearly is "superior" in terms of power and intelligence. Moreover, adults and other kids always told him so. He had no rival, he was always ahead of everybody, so really alone if you think about it. Then, he suddenly learns that Izuku has a incredible quirk. It's obvious that he feels inferior in this moment to Izuku and he hates that he has been lied to, even if we know it's not the case. Then he sees other spectacular quirks, the kid has tonface reality, he's not superior, he is really good, but that doesnt mean the best. That's the begining of his long way to become the best version of himself. Really one of the most interesting and best written character out there.
In short he has supiriority complex that he needs to work on

The fear of being seen as weak while people adore you (impostor syndrome in short), the search for a rival who can be at the same level of strenght and passion than you, the need to be aknowledged, the definition of what can be a hero (not always the saving, but be the winner no matter what because it also gives people hope and strenght to believe in an invicible hero). I remarked people often tend to reduce Bakugo to a angry kid, which he is if course, but he also is a leader (but you can see more of that in the second season) and a great fighter so I just wanted to put that in the light too. :)

And then to see the ultimate payoff of his arc in the manga was amazing too.

Tbh this reaction channel is the best I have ever seen, most reaction channels are there just watching and staying silent, but this UA-camr pauses and talks about what he feels and makes funny jokes in every second.

I'm honestly so happy you're enjoying this anime, Nick. It was the first anime I personally ever watched, and it's always so saddening seeing people hating on the anime left and right just because of the fandom. The characters, the story, the music, everything in this anime is really well done, and I'm really enjoying your reactions to it as well. Can't wait for you to get to the later seasons because they're very much worth the wait.
I think there's a combo of reasons for Bakugo being the way he is. 1.) Is that his quirk requires him to sweat, and him being the overachiever he is, is constantly working himself up to be ready to use said quirk. 2.) In this world, quirks develop by 4 years old, and he is 16, (Deku 15). Deku went their whole lives without a quirk and now suddenly has one, so he thinks Deku was lying their whole lives about being strong to pity him who was always priased for his strength. 3.) You ever meet those kids who were principal's list and in Gifted programs when they were young, but when they got to middle school and high school they suddenly became workaholics that never stopped because suddenly being the top wasn't so easy anymore? Bakugo was praised and encouraged that he was special his whole life, and now he's been dropped into the "bigger pond" so to speak, and realizing just because he was number one in elementary school, doesn't mean that status carries past that, and its shattering his worldview he's established about strength equalling rank. He needs to rethink his own worth and his role amongst all these new concepts and people thanks to someone like Deku suddenly going from bottom to top overnight in his mind. 4.) Even when he thought he was quirkless, Deku didnt accept his role in the world that Bakugo had etsablished for him, which even then was making him reconsider his outlooks. It was too difficult to try and restructure his way of thinking so he was thrusting Deku out of it hoping that it would make him conform to it so things would make sense again.
He's a very complex character and I like that his personality just comes from skewed understanding rather than some big trauma because it's a breath of fresh air from forcing an aggressive character to be sympathetic rather than letting them become more likable through actual character development. It doesn't try to excuse his behavior, it just says "some people suck cause they dont get you. If they get better they get better, but even if they do it doesn't happen overnight."

I know Midoriya knew he could never hit Bakugo because that probably would have seriously injured/killed him. The thinking (with very little time) there was great and covered lots of bases.

Bakugo is such a complex character that most people shy away from understanding why he does the things he does. Obviously, his behavior towards Deku is terrible, but the fact that both Deku and All Might did not give up on him means a lot. It means they see something others don’t. The dynamics in this show are so well written.

As a formerly gifted kid who was used to being the best without even trying who then went to a special high school and suddenly had everything i was sure of about myself challenged: i could never hate bakugou. The only difference between me and him is that he turned to anger while i just became (more) depressed. And i don't know if he feels the same, but growing up hearing you will always be the best without even trying didn't feel like a blessing. Since everyone --- parents and teachers alike --- expected me to succeed effortlessly, being anything other than perfect would mean being a disappointment. When i was seven, i had a panic attack so bad i passed out after losing 0.25 points in a test. Seven years old. I was on anti-anxiety meds and anti-depressants at 12. And then high school happened, and all my classmates were on the same level as me, and instead of it being freeing it just made me feel worse, which in turn impacted my grades, which made me feel even worse than that. But recently i found my old report card with all the grades for bimestral assessment test and the lowest i got was a B on PE. Really, no one is as hard on you as you are on yourself. So to me Bakugou is a distorted image of what i could have been. It's kind of cathartic watching him grow. Don't get me wrong, he's still the same prickly charater who is quick to anger, he just learns not to place his value on other people's opinion of him. Wish I'd learned that sooner

This is when he finally started his path to become better.
A - I started this anime this year. Blew through it without reading much online and LOVED every minute of it.

This anime is the definition of a hype, and the hype is real.
The issue with Bakugo is that he's been told he's amazing all his life, he's been at the top of a class with people that didn't have a quirk as powerful as his. Now he's in a high school meant to cultivate the best of the best and he cannot rely on the instinct and basic stuff he's been running with all his life, so he's extremely conflicted.
There's also his issue where Deku seems to be the only one that admires his for his powers but is still able to see him as a regular person, which in Bakugo's perception is as if he's being perceived weak, regular, not amazing. When Deku tried to help him back then was as if he was telling him 'You may not be strong enough to get through this. Let me, regular person with no powers, help you" Hence why he's constantly treating everyone else as a side-character.
Dude has the biggest Ego and is forced to confront reality for the first time.

The problem with Bakugo is he has both an inferiority and superiority complex. When you compared him to Zuko, you were spot on. He’s by far one of the most complex characters in the series.

I started watching MHA around the beginning of 2018. I had just started the second semester of my first year of college and I was really struggling, but I started watching MHA around that time and it always cheered me up after a long day. Maybe the story does follow a lot of common tropes and yeah, a majority of the fandom REALY sucks, but I still think it's an amazing anime. I'm so happy that you're enjoying MHA so far and I hope you keep watching 🥰
