This is why I love Ian’s content. These types of builds are truly out of this world along with his fabrication skills.
58/59 imperial Continental kit would kill it on your car
I love watching the family Rousell at work 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank You Lady-Jamie for "muting" the cutting and grinding! 👍❤🎅❤👍
"It's hard to be humble when you're great!" Famous last words.
Like the way you aren't afraid to critique your work. Big fan
Can't wait to see Victor's reaction . Again, Ian and Jamie , great work!👍😎
Ian, I love your vision, for me the journey is just as entertaining as the destination, and I learn so much. You are the bee's knees!
Thank you!
Wheel placement is prfect. The fill panels behind the tire, extending backwards will make a great looking fender, imo. Rock on kids!🤘🏼
Thank you for keeping us up to date on your builds! This is awesome, and the knowledge is priceless thank you!
Good Wednesday morning guys!
Morning!
Thursday morning her in Australia, but it was posted 10 hours ago. Sorry I was not watching for it at 1 a.m.
Very fulfilling day with Ian and Jamie. Thanks for sharing with us.
Master class today, the cutting, grinding and welding trick was awesome.
Good call on the fender. The wheel looks much better in the opening now🤠
What a difference that made. You have an eye for style. Most people probably didn’t even notice that. Great job guys.
I think the crisp fender line on top is beautiful, and the curve toward the center in the rear is also very pleasing to the eye. For what it's worth, I studied industrial design in college after winning a few design competitions at General Motors as a kid.
Don't go down the Delorian road
One good thing about Ian is FLEXIBILITY. He is not afraid to revisit as to what he has accomplished and not afraid to changed to better style and palatable. GO, GO IAN! Hi Ms. Jamie 😊
I love seeing Ian in a Flow state - so fearless! I'd agonize over a cut for hours but he just chalks an approximation and gets the grinder. Here's an artist working from the heart, not overthinking every little thing. :-)
Brother Ian I sure enjoy your process. I love metal work it’s such a great medium and you do some nice work with it.
Great video again! What weird is I like what you do, you don’t and change it, I like that too! Also your humor and personality carries the day. Video now better than ever, thank you Jamie.
Thanks, the clean-up did wonders to that sign. 😊
I'm watching in the UK I'd weld the doors shut and just step over like some of our old race cars. Great entertainment , thanks for posting.
Trust the Master, the end results will be a work of art
Watching the pinterceptor cruise across the screen at the end is surreal with this 😊build😊
Ian this car is getting cooler every day
Ian and Jamie...GREAT WORK as always ! Being ones own harshest critic is Fantastic advise. As an old man in my 70's it's always served me well. Just allow yourself in the end to appreciate a job well done from yourself and others ! All the Best !
Love the progress. Looking forward to hearing Victor's reaction.
Now I will be late getting in the Hotshop but I can't miss you guys! George The GlassMan.👽👽👽👽
Have a great day!
I'm used to watching of a night time 🇬🇧🇬🇧 but I was lucky to catch it so early
You have such a wild and amazing imagination
Those are some massive fenders. Hope Victor likes them, I like them.
Oh my!!!
You just SHEET on your fender😉🤠
Excellent episode for getting a feel for your work. Sometimes the tension is palpable.
Ian, you're the one guy of all the custom car people out there that I enjoy the most. As a real old car enthusiast, your work inspires the next generation. I also loved that David Letterman was on your show. Outstanding artist!
Thank you Ian. Love the builds and truly appreciate your creative process
Dang Ian, I’m so digging the fender stretch! As low as this car is the doors are just for the legs to get in? This is going to be so cool! I can’t wait to see what Victor thinks?
Ian and Jamie YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST....Much fun to watch and listen to...MUCH LOVE MAY...GOD TRULY BLESS YOU....Joe in crazy NY...
Came for the caddy, stayed for the epic ska/two tone beats 🤓
Jamie, you and Ian are like Abbott and Costello at times. LOL. You are perfect foils for each other.
Nice Ian ,The fact that the back wheel wasn't CENTERED on the wheel WELL was driving me nuts. However, now that you extended the fender ans added the skirt ....... MUY BUENO .
One thing about this project is ain't nobody gonna clone this ride. Victor written all over it. You two got it going on as usual. You have editing talent Jamie. Jamming
Thank you!
Great show professor...learn something everytime i watch. building a hot rod with my grand kid. Teaching him all i know with tig/mig this summer.
That Alien intro was F**ing awesome!!!!
Awesome to have another Ian and Jamie vid for our viewing pleasure. 😊
Absolutely stunning!
You make it look easy I wish I had that kind of talent you have a gift that is not seen in many people. I can't wait for the episode I absolutely love watching this caddies transformation. I would love to see what you could do with a 59 or 60 caddy. Awesome job 👍👍👍 thanks Bro.
The pole is just part of the team!
I like those simple tools and the tricks!
I like the ideal of the razor knife ,I learn so much!
im 59 and never thought of using a magnet , i might be too old for this ,great show !
It looks like something now !!! Hope Victor likes it !!!
Skills, Ian is wrk'n magic as usual. I'm a big fan of all his builds 🏴☠️🏁🏴☠️
That turned out better than I expected. Thumbs up.
Kinda funny how the excitement ramps up at it begins to take shape. I know that feeling pretty well. It’s like finally seeing land after swimming and swimming. Good stuff
Ian, thanks for the tips and tricks. Thanks for the video Jamie.
You bet!
NICE thinking process Ian. Kudos on your vid work, Jamie.
Looking good Ian and Jamie
Another great video Ian and Jamie. It'll be great to hear Victor's opinion and thoughts on the progress so far 👍
Moving the front of the fender forward definitely made the "wheel placement" look better. But like you said, once the skirts are on there it really doesn't matter too much where it is. The back end is looking awesome!
I just wanna say, I'm working on scratch building a C2 Corvette inspired dash with my buddy for his minitruck, and was worried about getting the compound curves out into the sheet metal. Your video last week when you got the English wheel out really got me feeling more confident that I'll be able to make it work. He has a wheel, but neither of us have used one. Looking forward to using it now! Thanks for the pointers.
That looks amazing, Ian makes it look so easy ! Great job recording Jamie !
Another great episode caddy whack you two crack me up!!🤘👽👍🍻
Victor is going to love it ❤😀 then make a few ajustments 😀😁🙃. Jamies questions are what we are thinking ❤it. Keep up the great work both of you. Ohio luvs yall
Your critique explains why no committee can ever design and build masterpieces. The self doubt will always drive for perfection whilst a committee will always compromise.
Good Wednesday morning to you two - it always makes my day seeing a vide from you. What a classy machine you’re fashioning. Like butter shaping - well done - one step at a time huh. Thanks and keep on keepin on dude and dudette.
Pole position luv it guys excellent waiting for victor effect 😊😊
Great shooting today Jamie. Love the interplay between the two of you. Creating beautiful lines. Victor will be stoked!
Victor is going to dig what you have accomplished so far. It looks great so far. Just a few more pieces to cut and finish the back of the car.
Hi guys. Another fantastic video from you which I always thoroughly enjoy. I will definitely be looking forward to the next one. Please take care and blessings to both of you from the UK.
Looking real good
Art metal great work Ian !
I sure do like defender and fender skirt awesome work
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
Thank you for another great video, Ian and Jamie! It's getting skabulous! Love the ska sound track! Greetings from Brazil! Jail for Jayr!
Really good advice you gave on what you think it's should be and what your customers wants . Roll the dice . You rock its why I like your show .
stay hungry! from artist to artist: 100% agreement !!! ^^
Nice touch on having the background music. The muted grinding noise is S.O.P. thanx for that. Looking forward to seeing the "client"
Thanks Ian and Jamie 💈🎥🤦♂🤦♀
Thank you so much!
Love the show 😎👍
So just a thought on the wheel opening. I think a 57 Chevy shaped opening would look absolutely amazing with those fender shapes
Truly outstanding work, digging the reggae soundtrack too - thanks!
🎶Find your fender
Sneak up behind her
Weld like a dummy
Till you finally grind her🎶
Lovin it!!!
Looking good 👍👍
The evolution of that fender is awesome. Tremendous vision Ian. Going to be another rolling piece of art, for sure
it looked like a sports car before now it looks like a low rider, I liked the sports car look. Ians design was solid.
For sure I liked the sports car look. But Victor is lowrider dude from way back
I just I just love your craftsmanship ....ready for the next video 📹
The fab work is looking awesome Ian!
Always be your own biggest critic. I look for faults in my paintwork on every job. Even if my customers wouldn’t notice, I would redo it as it has to go out perfect every time.
Philippines is enjoying your talent sir!
You are the best !!! One of a kind for me do it your way!!
That was a Master Class
Thanks👍
Been a fan since the first back from the dead dvd … still have it in my collection , glad your on UA-cam now and I don’t have to wait for custom garage to come back out every year
Ian, if you made the fender any longer, you would have to extend the shop longer . LOL😅
The pole is the star of the show 😂
It's taken me 60+ years to not get overly stressed working with clients and their visions of what they want me to create. I used to be hard on myself by letting stress take the wheel. At this point in my life I just trust my instincts and know the finished product will be awesome and not let the client take up too much space in my brain during the build process. I also know when to walk away before beginning any project if I get a bad vibe from the potential client. If you get the notion they are going to be a pain in the ass...walk away and tell them they'd be better served to have someone else do the job. I always trust that little voice in my head. Victor is gonna dig the progress no doubt.
😎😎
I am enjoying your videos!♥️♥️
You keep stressing out like that your going to go balled🤪✌
Maybe even bald 😝
I like how fluid the design is, letting inspiration and real world shapes be the last say in the design.
At the end of the day the shape has to be sexy w/o any weird lines.
Hell Yes , Right on Brother Ian that looks so good. I learn Every time I watch your Channel, even the masters, can make changes and have to deal with the Highs and Lows of a Project. I never forget, Turning in one of my first little projects, in Shop Class and feeling good that I nailed the Assignment and the Instructor just Tore it apart. That's wrong, that doesn't line up, looks like Crap, the only thing, I would do with this Boy is, Put Two Groves in it, and make it an Ashtray . I sucked it up, and Rebuild that project, and passed the Class. I did put a big can of Tuna on his Exhaust Manifold, Damn you could smell Old Bob's Torino, across the Quad.
Thank you!
It looks awesome
Com muita certeza que tí é o mestre do metal , como uma chapa de aço se torna uma peça excelente.parabens 👋🇺🇿🇧🇷
Jamie your music you play in the back ground is frickin awesome I love it
So far your Caddy looks quite reminiscent of the rear end of some Delahayes. Knowing Victor from when you built the Hudson resto-mod, my guess he'll like where you're going with this build. I find watching you and wife's video are quite relaxing taken out of all the googaw bells and whistles many channel think they need to keep viewers interested. Maybe it just comes with age, not being in such a hurry. Anyway, your hour clips are quite relaxing and I especially enjoy your approach to building... you don't ponder on how to do something, but think about how you want the finished product to look like and then BAM! it is done. No dilly dallying around, once your know what to do, you do it. I suppose my impulsive self never had the restraint to contemplate and just sleep on it before I change something ending up with just lots of wasted time. Thanks
