Hi thanks for sharing, I truly enjoy your music... I am a beginner in music creation and find this idea of looping really interesting to get started with! I know it’s been a while since this video was uploaded, but I have some questions that if you happen to have any time over can help me with a bit, on my way to learn more. Here’s what I think my dilemma is before deciding on what to get: I’ve been looking at the TC Helicon Acoustic for its voice enhancement features, but it doesn’t have the looping capabilities I’m after., that I see you use On the other hand, the Boss RC-505 has all the smart looping functions but when I read about it it says it doesn’t quite match the voice quality of the TC Acoustic. So, here are my questions: 1. Is there a single device that combines the looping features of the Boss RC-505 with the voice quality enhancements of the TC Acoustic? 2. Alternatively, is there a cost-effective way to add looping like you got to the TC Acoustic? 3. Or, is there a budget-friendly device that can simply enhance the vocal quality of the Boss RC-505 to match the TC Acoustic’s capabilities? I also looked at the TC Helicon VoiceLive 3 Extreme, but it doesn’t quite fit my needs since I don’t play electric guitar and prefer focusing on acoustic instruments and vocals. I mainly use my voice, wooden flutes, harmonica, drums, and occasionally piano-guitars I cannot play. I’m hoping to find a setup that lets me loop effectively while keeping my voice sounding smooth and natural, and maybe adding in the flute and djembe at certain times. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any suggestions or creative ideas would be greatly appreciated! Best, Chris
In the past with my fairly basic setup of midi keys/vocals/bass/audio interface, I've found all of this a bit confusing, just winging it without really completely getting what I was doing. I got an RC-505 in the mail today, and after watching this video, I *finally* get it!! So stoked and excited to get going!! Thank you, really great video
I have been searching for a video like this since 3 days now. It is the only one I believe. Extremely informative. A Big Kudos and Thank you Reinhardt!
usually these yamaha mixers have a group out option, which means you can send you outpuyts via the mixer to the group outs then take the output of the your 505 back into the mixer and route it through the stereo out,. you then get a stereo L & R mix eq on your mixer which is super handy for checking levels ect
Thanks for the kind words Sir Peanut Butter The Brave! I have only recently started uploading on a consistent basis, and will be keeping to that schedule :) Glad you like the video's! more coming soon!
Hey Reinhardt ! Thanks for sharing your settings man. Just got the RC 505 few months ago and currently setting a show with multi instruments (didgeriddo, handpan, guitar and other stuff) and your music style has been a great inspiration. So thank you for this man, your music is awesome :) !
Thanks for the info. Sending audio into aux definitely helps. I’m going to be midi controlling the 505 with a midi controller. Here is to having some busking fun. Thanks man
I'm currently running a 80% Discount on my entire 13 album discography collection here: reinhardtbuhr.bandcamp.com So you only pay $18.80 for 13 unique different albums which I released over 10 years. Just a little thank you for all your amazing support over the years!
This is the best set up instructional video I've seen. I don't have the RC-505 looper yet, but will referring back to this when I get one! Thanks for this video!
Thank you so very much for sharing, it's very inspiring for newcomers like me!! Keep up the great work my friend, you are creating something special here!!
Simple like that :-) Amazing what results you get with this, my friends. Keep on rolling, Reinhardt and Mandie!!! Looking forward to a fruitful time ...
i think 1/8” stereo jacks sound great too. i’m using one for the output of my mixer into the rc 202 and it works really well. i’ve heard a well known studio engineer/software designer say that there is some rounding or warming of the sound that you don’t get with the 1/4” connectors.
Really great. I love your music. I'm listen to you on youtube and bandcamp. Your life music is really wonderfull. I'm personnaly just beginning with guitar with pêdals and loop and microphone and your video about your material installation is really great. Thanks a lot!! I will buy your albums . @@ReinhardtBuhr if I may ask you something, what is challenging for me is if I am playing in a place with a lot of natural echo, my loops began to lag, and it gets chaotic :-/ ,... any advice?

Hi Reinhardt. cheers bro for the epic tutorial. 👌 Just wondering if the Rc 505 can connect straight to passive speakers or do i need to connect it to a Amp first? Cheers Brother.....
The best video ever ❤️ I have a question . I play Indian flute and when I set beats for it and later if I want to play the flute on faster tempo can I increase the tempo of beats only ?
Man it is so useful to have your full and detailed explanations and for you to show how everything is connected. Thank you! One question - how do you get the Zoom to record your Circuit if the groovebox doesn't go through the RC-505? Another mixer?
I really appreciate your craft and it's inspired me to live loop. I bought the RC 505 MK2 and bought the same Yamaha Mixer you recommended. I can't seem to figure out how to use the mixer for the two mics (SM 57 & SM 58) I'm must be missing something I followed all your steps. Do you have a flow chart or diagram by chance? Thank you so much for any help you can offer.
can you go straight from the mixer to the loop station, if you don't have any other devices to connect? also, if you're using a mixer, do you need to use an audio interface anywhere in the setup still?
Great video. I've been looking for a video like this on the absolute basics for ages. Can L/R output from the looper go into a normal guitar speaker? Or does it have to be monitor speakers?
I have a question please: What if i want to join only Mixer with Loopstation. For example, having direct connected guitar with keyboard on mixer...and from mixer goes to loopstation without that "timeline" or what you call it. Thank you for answer this really helped me.
Wow! awesome! Thank you so much for doing this! Great teaching.. Audio is great and the video work and production is fantastic! I still want a skype lesson :)
What if I just use a nice microphone and different instruments - tongue drums - flutes & banjo (none of them are wired) can I record on the 505 MKII and then go directly into a computer? (I’ve never done this before.) I can’t afford a lot of equipment and just want to make some music for bedridden people. (Free, not for money.) 🦋🦋🦋 Thanks for anyone’s input. 🤓
Thanks for this helpful video. I have a question. What is a better option for recording at home? From rc-505 straight to a computer via USB connection or from rc-505 to a sound card like Focusrite via jack jack cables?
Would you be able to share some insight on why you go aux in instead of 1/4 in? Is there a specific reason? Would 1/4 in left and right provide the same results? I am also a multi Instrumentalist seeking the best setup. Also, I have to extend my hand of gratitude and say thank you for such inspiring music. I came across your channel and content not long ago. I know something special when I see it. When I feel it. You my friend share a gift from the universe. A gift where our souls speak in sounds.
I just came across this, been following his music for years, seems he has gotten away from the 505 lately. Anyway, I have the same question as so many in the comments below. Why do you go into the 505 with 1/8th into aux? Why not L and R straight into the corresponding inputs? Pros and cons? Seems no one else got their questions answered below, so I am not expecting a response, but if someone reads this in the future and knows, I would love to know.
Thinks for sharing this! Just one quick question: how do you choose which instruments are affected by the delay pedal? I thought the delay would apply to all the tracks since it’s connected AFTER the mixer.

Love how it's filmed like a Bourne Identity movie, leaves much of the tutorial entirely to the imagination on account of you can't see shit
