  • Spot has been deployed in the real world more than any other walking robot. But what goes into making a robot that just works? Take a look inside our reliability labs to see how we test Spot's capabilities, durability, endurance, and more. We push Spot to the limit so you can automate without limitation.

@@PaulSchwarzer-ou9sw My own two cents on that is that humanoid robots just aren't that beneficial. Humans are a pretty flawed design, so there are few reasons to make something that works like we do. Stretch and Spot cover a lot of bases, and they do so because they're not humanoid. I find things like the Tesla robot to be a bit of a joke, and not much more than a tech demonstration. All of that said, I appreciate that they still work on Atlas, but I'm glad it's not their main focus. Do you see some application where a humanoid is better than another form factor?

as someone who used to do it, I could see this being deployed in a nuclear power generating facility for general area surveillances for radiation levels. Some areas it wouldn't be good for as it would take to much work to cover it up and uncover to keep clean, but most of the aux building, exterior areas and other RCAs would work fine. would just need to add gps and telemetry and detection gear and it would be good to go.

It doesn't scare me one bit, but I seen and filmed a T380 AI floor cleaning tech machine in a Winco 6 months ago and nobody wanted to talk about it nor look at it. I asked a couple employees what they think of their new cobot? They were not amused not thrilled one bit. I think it's truly fascinating and that we need to embrace the future as it arrives. I'd go for a robotics degree if I were in my 20's again for a regular university bachelors of science in business earned 20 years ago doing advanced math and statistics for a big nothing didn't have a return on investment other than it teased me about the global economy and the American dream that no longer exists for most setting out on a quest for a career. Our job market and corporate work culture is toxic and dysfunctional yet had a most awesome potential.

Some of the features to think about is robot dogs that respond by command and that can communicate with human. This all can be done by ai. Hanson Robotics is the next to go on the chopping block since their Sophia robot only runs on programming.
