Best video review of the Lowery stand, in my opinion - the one that persuaded me to buy one. Not regretted it for one minute, it's been the best stitching buy I could make. Thank you!
That was a great review! Very clear and well explained, lowery should give you commission because you have just convinced me that I need that stand in my life! I usually stitch without a frame because I could never find one I found easy to use whilst sitting on the couch and this looks perfect for me, thank you!
I use mostly QSnap frames and have been looking for a workable stand with no luck until someone suggested I look at the Lowery. This video sold me on the Lowery! Thank you
Thank you so much for your review - most helpful and informative; and tipped me in the direction of this stand. Ordered one from Sew & Sew and it is now set up by my armchair... Why didn't I buy one three years ago - managing a 27" frame on one's lap is hopeless! Thanks again, Adam
Thank you so much for your video, you really helped me decide to take the plunge and purchase a Lowery. It arrived today and I'm so excited! I can already tell that I'm going to love it.
I took delivery of mine today, 24 hour delivery from Lakeside Embroideries. I mainly wanted something to use with my spring rings. I had a word with Kate at Lakeside, she said it would be ok, and it is. Works perfectly with it. I haven't tried my other assorted frames yet. I should imagine it could be a struggle with the really small circular frames, but if push comes to shove I can get around that by stitching the embroidery fabric to a spare piece of calico, with a hole cut out of course!
Thank you so much for this comprehensive review! I've been on the fence, but this convinced me to order one. I especially like your trick with the sewing box - such a good tip! Thanks for a really helpful video!
Thank you for your tutorial and you have made me easily decide to purchase the Lowery stand. I will be doing alot of tapestry (when my work settles) and I decided (like you), that I ought to buy a proper one and not have one on my lap !
Thanks Annie! I have watched your video over and over until I finally got one!!! Well, ordered one. It is on it's way. I am in the US, so my shipping takes longer and cost more, but I think it will be totally worth it. I noticed once I put US on my shipping address, it reduced the price of the stand a bit to help with the higher shipping cost. They shipped my stand the day after I purchased it. I have been watching it on the tracking at it is soooo close! I will let you know how it goes!! Thanks for all your tips and advice!
Love your review of the lowery stand :) I started with that one but since I have my millennium stand I have not used the lowery - I should really sell it! But as you know you never know when you might need the extra stand lol :) Great video as always:) Happy stitching lovely floss tube friend!
I really need to use my Lowery stand more. It's just sitting in the corner at the moment because I usually stitch on my bed and it's not quite high enough. :( But seeing you using it makes me want to get it out and have a play! :) xx
Three Owl Threads LLC My kids are 6 and 4 and I could have definitely had this out a few years ago without them fussing over it. I think because it isn't very striking or doesn't have too many bits to mess with they aren't really interested.
Thanks for that, have just order the attachment for the Lowery stand which holds the bigger pieces more stable! I love the stand, its perfect for me !! Take care !
Thank you so much for this review! I’ve been eyeing up this stand since I bought my first qsnap and wanted to find something to hold it. It’s my birthday in a couple of weeks and now I know what to ask for. 😊
yes it would. The one thing about these stands is that you use the leg of your chair to weight the plate the stand sits on. I use my stand in different chairs so sometimes I will place a heavy object on the floor plate of the stand to weight the stand. You would need to do it that way because you have rockers instead of legs. It’s easy to adapt it to a rocker .
@@NurseChapel_NCC1701 thanks! If it is being used when stitching in a rocking chair, what direction would the plate face? Is it possible to still have it facing towards the chair and have a heavy object on it? Or do you have to point it in a different direction since the rocking chair's "legs" would be in the way?
@@jayplays568 that’s what I do. I swivel the bottom plate away from the legs when I don’t want the plate under the leg. Then I put a weight on the plate instead of the using the leg of the chair. The stand rotates until you tighten it into position. So you can have the floor plate turned opposite your chair while the upper part is properly swiveled and tighten into position with the upper arm bar extended over your lap as desired including the height.
Found your explanation useful, I only have one question I have a lamp stand with a magnifying glass will I be able to use it please. Thanks again . Regards Jennifer
Very good video very easy to understand how it works and that now. I'm currently thinking about getting a stand and was considering this after some recommendations. your video has helped me make my mind up! just need to save the pennies now lol!
Irishenchantment Thank you, I'm glad it was clear. I struggle explaining sometimes. I don't like to be patronising but I also don't want to make assumptions that everyone understands everything either. It's a fine line.
I like your floor Stan do you think it would hold a hoop because I embroidery and it sure would be nice to have my hands free but I can never find her stand that will hold just a round hoop and can you tell me where you got it that
Thank you for this video! Still useful today!! If you would be so kind, what type of scroll frame are you using in the video??? Thank you for your time and hope you have a great 2021!
nice stand but I have 6" space under my sofa, (sleeper sofa). I d have to pile bricks on/under it. really too bad, cause I would buy it if not for that. lotsa nice features
Love this! I love seeing how the stand works for everyone in different ways! I never thought about using hoops will have to try that as well! Do your threads get caught on the screw in adjuster thing on the back??
Stitching Mae It was your video showing it with the millennium frame that tipped it for me to get one! You enabler you! I've had no issue with the threads getting caught but on my one stitch at a time project my threads are pretty short. Sob ;) xx
Hiya, Just thought I'd let you know that I got one! Oh my goodness how fabulous are these stands, I don't know how have I managed to cross stitch for the past 20+ years without one.
Do not buy stands similar to this stand. I made the mistake and did just that. I thought by saving a few hundred dollars I would purchase one that would do just as well. I was wrong. The one I did purchase lasted a very short time before problems started. I had made due with the one I have, My husband had it welded to it doesn't wobble any longer. Save up your pennies and buy the real one.
Oh my goodness your beautiful. I don't cross stitch or anything and just happened upon this video and had to click it because you're gorgeous. Also the Accent is nice too.
Best video review of the Lowery stand, in my opinion - the one that persuaded me to buy one. Not regretted it for one minute, it's been the best stitching buy I could make. Thank you!
Mrs. Wilson is going to be very happy that I stumbled across your video and passed it on to her. Thank you.

WELL DONE, a through review of the floor stand.

These stands are so cool. I just ordered one from lovecrafts. Can’t wait to try it out.
Thats brilliant! You answered all my questions! I just ordered mine last night!
Thank you for your tutorial and you have made me easily decide to purchase the Lowery stand. I will be doing alot of tapestry (when my work settles) and I decided (like you), that I ought to buy a proper one and not have one on my lap !
I've had one of these for over 20years it's still as good as new
After watching your video I decided to order one your video helped me make my mind up thank you xx
Excellent review, thank you. I am really keen to get one totally on the strength of this review. If only they were still that price!! I
I just bought a Lowry stand and I love it! So worth the purchase!

I watch tracking too! I'm glad you found it helpful. Enjoy your stand when it arrives!
Just got notified it is at the post office!!!! Woohoo!!!
Great video - I love my Lowery - use it every day while sitting in my recliner with my legs up. I did get the extension bar and it works great for me.
Pamela Nesler I think I'm definitely going to look into the extension bar. My sofa arms are pretty wide.
Thanks for this great video! So pleased you are happy with your stand and with the service you received from us. :-)
Love your review of the lowery stand :) I started with that one but since I have my millennium stand I have not used the lowery - I should really sell it! But as you know you never know when you might need the extra stand lol :)

Happy stitching lovely floss tube friend!
Teresa Little Stitcher Well if your husband is going to leave all his stuff in the lounge, fill you side with stands!

Fabulous! I have two toddlers and until your video I figured it would be YEARS before I would be able to invest in a stand! Maybe not!
Three Owl Threads LLC My kids are 6 and 4 and I could have definitely had this out a few years ago without them fussing over it. I think because it isn't very striking or doesn't have too many bits to mess with they aren't really interested.
Can't wait to get mine tomorrow .

hello! the last (big) frame in the video- what is the brand and the name of it? and where to buy?
Great review on your stand. Now thinking about one.
Love mine too! It holds my hoops and my frames. 🙌

I don't cross stitch but I do embroidery wonder how good that would work for embroidery
Thank you for your informative video!
I would need to have a lighted magnifier to go along with the stand. Do they sell those?
What is the website you ordered it from?

Hi. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your stand. I'm looking at getting a new stand, hence watching reviews on UA-cam. Are you still happy with it?
Lisa Harman I'm still absolutely loving it and I have a variety of different size projects now and use the extender bar and it's perfect.
LittleAnnie121 thankyou!

She never showed how to "swing it out" and secure a stitch on the back side.
