Howdy partner! Hope you enjoyed this one, I loved that pomegranate one and the cinnamon bun one was possibly energy saving vs the oven?! Anyhow, for more hack videos head here and grab the popcorn (just don't put skittles in it, if you know, you know) ua-cam.com/video/jdKv_PUEL90/v-deo.html&pp=gAQBiAQB
Next time try cutting all the way around the pomegranate horizontally but only slightly to only cut through the skin (max 0.5cm) By doing so you don't cut any of the actual seeds resulting in almost no juice leaking out = close to no mess at all. Then break it in half. Hold one half over the bowl and hit the back of the pomegranate with a muddler or something similar. The seeds will fall right out into the bowl of water. Do that to both halves and then use your technique to separate any left over white bits from the seeds under water. This way you're crushing less of the seeds & it's less work. In the end you are left with perfect seeds and almost clear water :)
parboiling the garlic does actually work to make them easier to peel, but it takes a lot longer than that, and it also makes the garlic lose some of its flavor, so you have to increase the amount of garlic if you peel them like this. this is actually what they do in the factories that package that pre-peeled garlic you can find sometimes in the grocery store.
I need to buy a waffle iron just to make those cinnamon buns, at this rate, I’m going to end up with my own ‘Barry inspired’ appliance cupboard 😂 got my rice cooker on order after seeing you using it and now I’m shopping waffle irons whilst watching the rest of this video
@@mrbarrylewis ironically my parents have the same appliance cupboard you have, but theirs has their tea and coffee making equipment in it. When we move to Somerset next year, I want one in my kitchen too, as I’ve seen you can get automatic electric doors for them which means I can use it in my wheelchair
Hiya Barry and Mrs Barry! Going with a Pan Dunk instead of slam dunk as it's a Viral Kitchen Hacks show. Today's was so fun!!! Thank you both! Loved the pancake spaghetti, but yep needed some strawberry sauce, and a bit of chocolate too! lol
I love how much Mrs B was enjoying the cinnamon roll waffle. I can relate to that haha looked amazing! Now please make a giant cinnamon roll waffle! 😃🙌
If you like the frappacino one you can make similer drinks from scratch by freezing coffee in ice cube trays then popping them into a cup with cream or milk and using an immersion blender for a wonderful summer treat. I add caramel or chocolate for extra deliciousness.
You know, the "pancake spaghetti" is fairly close to a popular thing to put into soup over here (Frittaten), only that we would obviously just fry a whole crepé (Palatschinken) and then cut it into strips rather than frying them individually 😂
Some great ones Mr and Mrs B. Peel garlic by putting cloves in a jar with lid or plastic container and shake for about 20 seconds. Works! There is also a hack to get to the pomegranate fruit. You cut the top off and run a knife on the outside along the white sections. Cut in about 1/4 inch and pull apart. I'm sure you can find a video of it.
I love how when the hack videos started he'd ask, "Have you ever been in (insert ridiculous situation)?" And she'd answer "No....Wait. Yes?" Now there's no hesitation. Why yes, I always wanted sweet spaghetti.
I absolutely love your channel. Part of the reason I started my channel was bc of yours!! You made me want to explain products more in depth and make sure people actually knew if the product was worth getting! Love your channel!!❤
4 out of 6 tuned out to be really good, I think might be a new record for this playlist. Although, cinnamon rolls in a waffle iron might qualify as a diy appliance. lol
The pancake one definitely reminds me a lot of funnel cake, I can see myself trying that hack, as potentially doing it in a pan would be much healthier than a funnel cake haha
Freeze Ensure or Boost into "ice cream" for invalids. I discovered this when my mom could only tolerate ice cream! Hope this helps someone else. Thank you both for trying these hacks for us! These are very useful
Good hacks today Barry!!! To prevent the bottles from shattering in the frezer maybe put the frappucino in plastic cups with lid? En the 'spaghetti pancakes' ehm... why not bake thin pancakes, roll them up and slice them thinly? Might taken you less then an hour to make them haha
Heya Barry, i found a hack for garlic peeling myself. Wear 2 latex gloves, mash the garlic a little then rub it between your hands. Skin will come right off and you have latex gloves on for some clean cooking anyways. Works like a charm
for the frappe one. what you can do is put the frappucinno in ice cube trays. freeze them and blend them in a blender. add a little more over the crushed coffee mixture and there you go. a frappuccino without having to worry about glass breaking.
The garlic one is separate the garlic cloves put them skin on in hot water and leave for 20 mins or so when you peal it all comes off in one piece no papery bits that fly everywhere. I make ginger garlic paste once a week or so and peal 6 or more cloves at a time and it saves me so much time.
You could just freeze some flavored milk into an ice cube tray, and then pour that and a bottle of ready made Starbucks into a blender, and it's just the same with no risk of explosion.
if you slice the top of the pomegranate on the top you can see the lines of the white pith and if you score the fruit along those lines you get wedges of seeds - no mess
Hey Barry big fan of your show used to work in Australia and a cool cafe just to do a cool snail pancake for kids 😅 Same as in a squeeze bottle but American style pancake batter . They used to dray a snail on the flat plate and the flip it 😔 Awesome love your channel keep up the good work 👍
I had a craft book/ annual (think it was SMART) when I was a kid that had pancake spaghetti, cook a normal crepe/ pancake and then slice it into thin strips with a pizza cutter and then pop jam and coconut on top! 😁😁
Barry I can’t see all the comments but the best thing todo is crush to glove and then pour hot water from your kettle and leave it for 1-2 minutes then then it will work perfectly 1:21
Get a few of those bottles and keep one plain, add some chocolate powder to the second, add some strawberry flavouring and red colouring to another then use the bottles like pens and draw with them then fill the gaps with plain mix and you have a kid friendly snack
The cinnamon roll waffles I do all the time, so much easier than doing them in the oven. As for the pancake spaghetti that is a lot like funnel cake in the States
You should make breakfast sandwiches with the cinnamon rolls. Flatten two rolls. Sandwich your breakfast fillings in between. Then waffle it. You got a breakfast pocket for on the go. That garlic hack works if you boil water dunk the garlic for 30 seconds. Like you do when you parboil tomatoes to peel them If you don’t want to worry about breaking the frap bottle, you can pour it into ice cube trays and then just blitz it in the blender. I know it isn’t a hack, it’s just an option. I’m crossing my fingers for your BBC sitcom. It will be awesome.
Here's a hack I always use when making desserts with apples like an apple pie. Use Fuji instead of granny smiths. It allows u to use less sugar since Fuji is already sweeter thus making it a healthier option
Best way to peal garlic. Take you clove slice of abit at edge end of the cloves dampen your hand and rub the clove between your hands and boom its done
you loose so much flavour in the pomegranate with the water, jut cut it in half and hit the base with a woodern spoon, all the seeds will fall out into the bowl and you'll loose no juice
I feel like the spiral pancake would be great for a baby. It would cool down fast and wouldn’t require cutting. I saw a spider web pattern as a Halloween breakfast thing, but it had the same impracticality of time.
I’m gonna be back in weston super mud next month.. I’ll have to pop around for some yummy food. (Just in case, not really - dunno where you live, it looks posh)
For "sweet spaghetti" there's a dish, where you drip sweet egg-heavy batter into boiling oil from a spout, getting long strands of deep-fried goodness.
There is an easier way to deal with Pomegranates. I cut them in half, face the seed side toward a bowl, then using a wooden spoon, I hit the pomegranate and the seeds fall out.
I don't like that you mentioned the bonus scene in the actual video. I like to believe that it's a special scene for only a select few who actually wait til the end... 🙈
Barry to eliminate the risk of shattering glass what about buying an washable plastic cup that has a lid that can have a straw in it ( not the kiddy ones but the more fancy adult ones ) put the starbucks in that as then it cant explode just leave it in the freezer and let it melt slightly so its not solid

Try shredding cooked chicken breast with a hand mixer.

Pan-fried funnel cake does sound like it could be a winner. It'd probably be less intense than jalebi, which I've had before.
Fabulous Sir David Attenborough impression Mr. B. Now I know what it would be like if he judged British Bakeoff
If you want pancake spaghetti you can make a funnel cake for the T H I C K noodles but over all the hacks besides the garlic one are good
the frapachino hack i use those bottles in the icecream maker lol
Great shout!
Amazing video, really amusing hacks.
Transfer the Frap to plastic covered cups and then freeze.
Good call! Just followed what we'd been sent, but that sounds much safe and more on brand to the ones you get in the stores, nice idea
About the garlic one, putting the garlic in the microwave (without water) for 30-50 seconds, really does help peeling it. I use that all the time.

5:57 but all the juices of the pomegranate r in the water now making it less tasty
Savoury toppings on pancakes work great, carbonara would be fantastic since its bacon and cheese and thats yummy on a pancake

Garlic, in a jar. Close the lid and shake
Just saw the bunny hack and wondered if dried peas or the ceramic beans would work so that you don’t have to make loads of little balls of tin foil?

Hi Mrs. Barry!
Best way to peal garlic. Take you clove slice of abit at edge end of the cloves dampen your hand and rub the clove between your hands and boom its done
I like the cinnamon roll one, but what's the time tradeoff on taking the parchment paper off of a baking sheet versus having to wash a waffle maker? 😁
1:45 why would you do that? i usually just whack the garlic glove with my hand and then it peels really easily. :D
They should have cupcake liners named Barry Batter Bits!
Mrs B: "its smoking quite a bit"
Barry: "yeah 😒"
Mrs B: "shall we check on them?"
Barry: "yeah... 😒"
😂😂😂😂
As far as that pancake spaghetti idea... instead of cooking on a griddle, could you squirt or drizzle the batter into a pot of boiling water?
Um, I reckon that's fairly possible, i've never boiled pancake batter though! Imagine it'll work if that temp helps set it and I imagine it would!
@@mrbarrylewis OR...flash fried in a pot of hot oil...

What works against smelly garlic fingers is: rubing your hand with a spoon...I do this everytime I have cut garlic. Works

Hey @barrylewis
It does work to put the garlic in microwave for 30 secs but without water
For the "spaghetti," you could put royal icing on to give it that carbonara look. Just a thought.
Would love to try the frappachino one but I can only have decaf and for some reason, at least in my experience, there are no brands that make them. 😢
That coffee one my nan puts into a cup for longer so if she forgets it she don’t have to worry
