Exploring Ghana Town: A Hidden Gem in The Gambia | Interview with the Chief
Join me on an exciting journey from Ghana to The Gambia as I explore Ghana Town, a small coastal fishing village rich in history and culture. Established in 1961 by Ghanaian fishermen who originally aimed to fish in Senegal but ended up in Gambia, Ghana Town is located in the Kombo North/Saint Mary District in the Western Division. As of 2009, this quaint town boasts an estimated population of 1,397.
In this video, I delve into the vibrant community, its fishing traditions, and the unique stories of the people who call Ghana Town home. I also had the privilege of speaking with the chief, who shared invaluable insights into the town's history and current way of life.
Don't miss this in-depth look at a hidden gem in The Gambia, where the spirit of Ghana lives on through its people and their customs.
