The Gambia is the only country I know of where Africans live together in harmony regardless of their origins. Ghanaians are very much loved in The Gambia. I went to schools owned and ran by Ghanaian, (Glory Baptist Primary School, Deeper Life School) and most of my teachers were Ghanaian and made great impact on my life. They are also expert fishermen, also that kenke with shito, red sauce and fried fish, let me stop because hunger is calling my name. 😋

Nana Kwasi I just researched what you said since I was clueless to what you were talking about. That case was very sad and unsettling to hear and read. As you have made your statement, you failed to mention that people knew what was occurring under that leader but dare not speak for fear of being put to death. It is dangerous to tell a single story, every nationality including Gambian suffered under that leadership, so be truthful and fair. Do not promote propaganda to divide the people. Please.

From Benin 🇧🇯 , I have ,when I travelled to Cotonou as a teenager with my mom, it was delicious! In Senegal 🇸🇳 we have a proverb about marriage and AKARA, we say “ she who wants AKARA must like pepper” , when a woman or man complain that marriage is difficult, we say that to them to
encourage them to face the difficulties of marriage and not give up. I like putting AKARA in a nice baguette 🥖 with spicy 🌶 tomato and onion sauce!!! So good.

We appreciate all there support and contribution to the Gambia.but one thing our government HV NT been looking after them, the Ghanaian community in the Gambian should be compensated well by building an estate for them, they been leaving there for ages let's look after them the Gambia.bless you Ghana baby Aya maya

marvin ezekiel you are right brother, so impressed with you guys. I love our African history, in West Africa, the Ghana empire was known as WAGADOU and its rich Capital was known as KOUMBI SALEH, It was located in the area of present-day southeastern Mauritania , Eastern part of Jolof, and western Mali. The Word GHANA or GA’NA was the title given to the ruler of WAGADOU, it was populated by the tribes of the Mande/ Manding, Soninke, Malinke etc... you still find these tribes throughout West Africa today, in fact the most spoken language in West Africa today is the language of the former WAGADOU/ GHANA empire which is Mande’ or Manding, there is a theory from some African historians that Manding is the mother language of most of the other West African languages. Ghana was a glorious empire , complex societies based on trans-Saharan trade with salt and gold that existed in the region since ancient times made this empire very rich.

Naija people will play deaf now. The fact we are tagged giant of africa is not a license to bully people who accommodate us in their lands. As Giants our job is to further strengthen unity within that we Al seek. It is cheaper to call America than to call Gambia. Please stop with the “apologies” and “guilt”. Some of the most obnoxious and disgusting ppl I dealt with while in school were from Ghana and none of them felt the need to apologize for even their own actions much less the perceived failures of their motherland.
What has to STOP is those of you who live among Ghanaians feeling the need to think small, be small, and whisper.
From the comments I read from Ghanaians I’m beginning to notice a certain degree of inferiority complex. There is this constant need to attack and require everyone to conform to their more passive ways.

That is why I was thinking, maybe if we calm down a bit and just mind our business in these countries, then the hate would stop cos the baton of pan africanism is in our hands now. marvin ezekiel - You’ve got a few things right, here. Nigeria is the “Giant of Africa” and it is so on very many levels including the size of her population, the financial and economic potential as well as what technology and networking with other major worldwide players will bring. This status will bring pride to Nigerians and other Africans but it will bring a level of resentment for others that could manifest in ppl saying that Nigerians are “too opinionated”, “work too hard” etc.
The passive-aggressive nature of the typical Ghanaian I find disgusting. Honestly.
Never, ever, ever apologize to these characters. When they issue a mass apology for all of their own ppl’s wrong doings then you’re free to join in the “group apologies”. Till then the little snowflakes can piss off!

Wode Maya, you might only be 21 years of age but you carry yourself like a real man. You interact with people in a very mature way.
