The longest-running motoring event in the world, the London to Brighton Veteran Car Run first began in 1896. With this kind of heritage, we had to show up in something special and luckily we found the perfect car for the job.

I was one of the drivers on our 1898 Panhard Levassier from the Shuttleworth Collection, great day out although the rainstorm coming into Brighton was a bit off. Otherwise a really good day and we had no problems with our car. Hopefully I will be doing it again in the collections 1900 Locomobile once I have finished the restoration.

It’s a pity that the driving public can’t get into the spirit of the event and show patience. I saw on the new that there was an accident involving one of the veterans and it looked bad, not sure if the car was saved. Anyone know?
