I like the original chinese version more in this scene specifically. The way Guhai conface to Bailuin is more intense and the reaction of Bailuin was more realistic. and can't forget the way Guhai called 'Baby' even after so many years.
The scene with a nearly obsessed, desperate Gu Hai is a complete faillure, just bland , acting from those two Thai actors, who are miscast in their roles ! Badly directed, and a bad script also !

"The On1y One" is one of the best BL romance drama Series I have ever seen. OMG... It is so GOOD...! I am in love with Dong Qin LIU (as WANG) & Benjamin TSANG (as TIAN). What a chemistry...!! And their dialogues are so deep in many different ways... there is so much poetry alone in the way they look at each other... It is amazing...!! 🤗 😍 ❤🔥 Their romance part is going to be so heartbreaking to watch... because I am not sure if TIAN is ready to love WANG back. We will see. Cheers...!
It's worth watching this series. It's more and more interesting. It's not all like OG version and makes me more curious what will happen next and how far the main actors will perform. As far as Hero(August) makes my heart beat fast by his look. The way he talks and the way he looks at Mac make me goosebumps. I do love this Thai remake more. Fighting Gus & Mac! Neglect whatever or whoever talking bad things! You do great job. The best for me.

OMG... I think today we are having the kidnaping scene in this Thai version, but with a different emotional setting. I don't like the kidnaping idea at all, because having a 16 year old boy acting like a big mafia boss despite of hating that side of his own father so much was never believable to me. I loved the most the way the novelist Ji Dan CHAI wrote the script for STAY WITH ME... tearing up the kidnaping scene out of her own novel, and writing a completely new and longer breaking apart process... leading to SU YU punching WU BI at school, and WU BI breaking down in tears at the karaoke scene with his friends. Since the Thai producers opted to keep the kidnaping scene, I really want to see how the Thai script writers recreated that scene... by giving HERO a more emotional and despair characterization. I think the success of this scene is all in MAC Nattapat (as POP) hands. The way he acts in that scene will make it great, or a huge disaster, no matter how awesome AUGUST displays his entire emotional range... from brutal anger all the way down to a helpless cry baby. We also have the assault scene here over Auntie JEAP as it was in STAY WITH ME (2023) Episode 9 over Auntie ZHOU. That scene in the second Chinese version of this story was filmed in a very realistic way, specially because we saw the little girl DUO DUO experiencing that brutality being just 8 years old. In STAY WITH ME that is the main reason for SU YU to push his father into getting married; and it looks like this Thai version will be following that way too; differing completely from how it was presented in ADDICTION (2016) EP 13. The main question after the wedding is going to be IF in this Thai version HERO follows the selfish ways of GU HAI just keeping BAI LOU YIN completely away from his family, and making him a loner, and trying to keep him exclusively for himself in the condo apartment... OR IF it will follow the amazing and beautiful way of STAY WITH ME, where WU BI worked so hard to keep the entire patchwork family living together... leading to that amazing scene in EP 14 with WU BI tearing down the wall that separated the main house from the one he rented next to it. Restoring as much as possible the FENG SHUI of the entire house should increase the harmony and happiness of the entire family, so that is for me one of the most magical moments in that Series version. I really hope this Thai adaptation follows also the STAY WITH ME way, as the original one from ADDICTION was never of my liking. BUT we will see what the Thai script writers chose to do this time. Just about 2 hours now for this Episode 5 release. I am really looking forward to it... 🤗 Cheers...!

That idiom implies that dedication can help you archive the unthinkable, such as using intangible water to break hard stone, or in this case using Hero's persistence to win over Poppy's heart. Poppy's sentence means that the stone said Hero's effort are useless, has no effect.
If you just keep comparing the OG with the Thai version of course you will never see the good in this series. You will always find all the wrong things so why keep watching anyway? I'm a fan of Addicted so I will still watch this version whether it meets my expectations or not. Just give some respect to all the casts and staff, the directors the producers who put effort to pursue this series. And if you don't like this series you are so free to not watch it anymore.

I never thought I would feel butterflies in my belly again with this story. But "Hero" (August Vachiravit Paisarnkulwong), in place of Gu Hai (Johnny Huang), made it happen. Amazing!!!
Taiwanese version is going strong. Have watched several versions. Original Chinese will always be my fave because characters were so believable and the comedic moments had perfect timing. Hoping Taiwanese version ends well and there is continued character growth. Then it can be my 2nd fave version. Only one is the title.
When I saw that a new adaptation of this story was coming out and I saw the comments and opinions about it... I was worried, most of them said that they wished Gu Hai wasn't as toxic and obsessive as he is in the book, or the Chinese adaptation. The character Gu Hai is very intense and aggressive, those characteristics are part of him. Now I see the Thai version, I know I was worried for nothing... even though they softened Gu Hai a bit, he still has that characteristic essence of an obsessive crazy guy... The real problem here is Bai Luo Yin. For me this character is amazing, I love him, he is the most intelligent Bottom in BL even more than Type (from TharnType). Bai Luoyin is so strong and self-sufficient, and he was never submissive to Gu Hai's attitude.... The Thai version did well with Gu Hai but Bai Luoyin lost his essence 🥺
