I had a feeling they would change the story. No televised version is ever going to include the scene where Hero "hurts" him (it actually rhymes with grape). TV viewers wouldn't accept Hero afterwards.
@Klara07 This series is an adaptation of a Chinese novel with the same name. In the novel Gu Hai (Hero) is so crazy, jealous, and angry that really hurts Bai Luo Yin (Pop)... Let's say he does something without Pop's (Bai Luoyin) consent... that's why many hate Gu Hai ( Hero)... and well, the only way Pop forgives him is by doing the same thing to him hahahahaha It's a novel with a possessive and crazy character hahaha PS: If you haven't read the novel, I recommend it. It's my favorite. It's so well written and the characters are so well developed and structured that it's hard not to empathize and become fond of them... although of course it's a somewhat toxic novel.
Hero behaves like he's never been in love with the way he behaves with Between Paillin and Hero I wonder who's worse because both of them are doing whatever they can to get Pop.
Both of them are great yet the lacking of scenes and actions maybe need to improve much like the sudden madness or sudden emotional part I didn’t see any cries or just the director did it on purpose? Hope the director give more emphasis to their actions and emotions
The uncut version probably makes a lot more sense. Even during flashback scenes I see how much is missing cause they're showing interactions I never watched the first time
In this specific episode from all the adaptation...I hope hero find a better person than pop... Seriously..hero...wu bai and gu hai should just drop it and leave...(On this episode only though 😂)
I don't care about what people call chemistry. It's acting, not personal charm. But IMO August looks his age. I know young Thai men stay young looking, but he has facial hair and there is a maturity in his face, particularly the eyebrows and eyes, and sometimes he looks tired, as if he would rather be somewhere else. In Mac you don't see that tiredness because he is young. The story is weird, with these toxic kidnappings and Hero's anger. (I heven't seen the Chinese series or Stay With Me.)

I was wondering how they were going to navigate this part of the novel. The SA in the original story was so awful and unnecessary. This was a very welcome change to that scene.
I think the two actors are visually beautiful especially Hero but the storyline is tacky and cringe. Don't know how it will end, if the original addicted heroine is great they should upgrade this to at least it's level but not.
I'm glad I am not alone. I don't like the psycho side of Hero: too impulsive, kidnapping, causing his friend to get a head injury. Hero and the girl are both strange personalities!
