Small things add up, the longer the distance the more the smaller things matter. If a plane is 1 degree off angle, it would be in a very different destination. Best of luck!
Hey thanks for the vid, very useful. Therefore, I'm french and I didn't understand you tips at 3:15 . Are you saying I should do more steps but smaller steps while running uphill ? thanks for the answer !
Hey Sota! This is my first Mara, I ran 32kms two weeks back at 5:08 average pace. It felt reasonably good but definitely did begin to burn out at that end there. Is there a big degree of assistance thanks to adrenaline and the crowd on the day?
Hey Sam, give me a bit more context on the 32km run, was it an intentional effort to see how long you can hold marathon pace for? Or was it holding an easy 5:08/km pace and you just felt a bit burned out at the end? Also the adrenaline and crowd are a tiny factor, there's nutrition and mindset (not necessarily mental strength, but more to do with how long you can tell yourself that mara pace is easy for, etc). If you had no gels in the 32km run and decide to use gels for the actual mara, that's already a huge factor, there's plenty to consider
loving this Sydney mara vid series Sota.
Love the support as always my dude ❤️
Great tips! Straight to the point and v helpful!
Thanks!! Good luck

Mate, I almost wore black for the marathon! Thanks for the tips, also I didn’t think about running in the shade, good stuff, thanks

Fun (?) fact: while black is best at absorbing heat, it is also best at radiating heat!
Fun
Ed the 🐐what’s the best colour to wear on race day ?
Personal preference 😉 but I wouldn’t wear black for a long race like a mara
