I’m very interested to see how this tree looks after wiring. All of the growth is at the tips so the transformation should be amazing.
You and me both!
WATCHING 😮😊😊
Nice ❤
Thanks 🔥
Genial.. los datos de trasplante..gracias
A la orden
Big pot but short on roots. With your loving care, I know that this tree will survive and the roots will grow for you.
Hope it love me too it wouldn’t let me down :)
Save it girl 😊😊
Sure will :)
Will be a good clump style Bonsai. But you'll have to do a lot of wiring to compact it more, as Hinoki don't back bud like a lot of other conifers can, wish I'm sure you know. Fun project. Steve.
Thanks for the tips!

👍👌🙂
I bought a gallon nursery potted Hinoki Cypress this past Spring (and a few Japanese White Pines, Japanese Maples, and Cryptomeria japonica) and potted it up into a two or three gallon nursery pot to grow out for a couple years before styling it. I know it will take 20 years to get anywhere near as big as the one you are working on. I have a Chamaecyparis pisifera 'Boulevard' that is similar in size to your Hinoki though. I grew it out in the ground for several years. They are also challenging to compact once they grow out "leggy" with most foliage on the tips. Have you tried grafting to create new foliage back nearer the trunk?
They are very easy Back Bud need full soon then cut back will do it
Graft on easy too
Can you please make a video going through all the varieties you have? I can't decide which one would be a good fit for me yet. Thank you Madam Bonsai!
Too many :) check out the show UA-cam u can see varieties and style see which one u feel in love with
