I came across your channel and I gotta say, you're one of the ones that I really enjoy watching.I like everything about you.Your family and your recipes thank you
I’m from a place called Leeds in England and I stumbled upon this channel while just browsing UA-cam (probs like most people have) I’m always looking for new ways to cook or new recipes just to try out and keep life interesting. This channel has become my new go to for ideas, it’s so informative and the meal ideas are world away from what I know living on the other side of the Atlantic but they’re also good for saving a few £’s or $’s depending on where you are, absolutely fantastic channel thank you.
@andycrusader - you might want to check out "That Lisa Dawn, Hillbilly Kitchen, and Becoming a Farm Girl" channels if you are looking for inexpensive meal ideas and ways to save money on food. I know you might not have access to similar stores or products that they sometimes use, but I have yet to ever get a bad recipe from any of these. Some of the recipes involving fermentation, yeast etc. do have to be altered because I live on the South Texas gulf coast with subtropical temperatures and humidity. I like Atomic Shrimp's cooking posts too. And... Southern Frugal Momma is wonderful!
Thank you for telling me I don't have to boil my lids and rings anymore. I don't like boiling them because they are to hot to put them on my mom is an old school canner and she always says you have to boil them but over the last year I have taken over most of the canning she is in her 70's so she only makes jam now but I have an electric pressure canner and I am always canning something. Love this video Brooke take care and stay safe!
Brooke!!! You inspired me!! I just pressure canned 18 pints of pork and beans using your recipe. I used ham in place of bacon and honey bbq sauce instead of molasses, just because that is what I had. I followed the rest of the recipe to a T. Now they are cooling on the counter overnight. ❤ Thank you so much for the recipe and the fun!!
Loved this so much! It took me back to my grandma’s kitchen when my mom, my sister and I would spend the day at her house on canning day. It was Mom and grandma doing all the work, but my sister and I had our little jobs to help out! Thank you for everything you share with us. 💕 to you and your family!
Love this tutorial on how to can. I am much older than you and have always wanted to learn how to can things. Thanks for walking us through the process. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful family, recipes and tips on how to save. ❤❤❤
Brooke, thank you so much for your information on Canning. Not only is it entertaining, but it seems like you have scientific reasons for everything that explains to us the reasons why you do things and exact way in the cautionary rules of canning I really. I really enjoy your channel and look forward to each new Vlog
I'm so glad how you made your pressure canning tutorial fun, easy and safe. I water can but always wanted to pressure can. Thank you for this precious video.🥰
Excellent video, Brooke!! You are a wonderful teacher. I love all of your videos and you and your family are so much fun! Thanks for all you do for us.
I’m new to canning. My Presto canner arrived yesterday and I admit I sat and looked at it for a long while, feeling quite intimidated. I’m 67 and determined to learn two things before I retire: 1. How to use an Instapot and 2. How to use a pressure canner. I was recently diagnosed as being Type II and I want to have control over the foods I eat. Thanks to you and your wonderful videos, it’s not so scary 😊❤❤
Your explanation on how to use the pressure canner is the best yet and 😂feel confident about using one now. I’ve been afraid of them since I was a kid but you explained everything perfectly. Thanks Brooke!
Brooke, what a fantastic video!! You explained ALL OF THIS so well. Other’s I’ve watched have never given the details like you just did! Thank you so much 💕🙏🙏
I can't wait to try these. I just canned 17 half pints of crimini mushrooms yesterday and canned mushroom broth this morning. Tomorrow I will do your pork and beans! I ❤ your channel. Thank you for sharing some of my favorite things - family, food, frugality, and self-sufficiency! You're awesome!
I don't do any canning but was curious so watched the video. It was interesting to me - probably because of the science involved. I especially liked how you explained every step. It's a good instructional video.
Brook, I am so glad to see you canning. My next thing to can was pork n beans! And here you are! Now I have that push I need to get them done. Love your method. My husband and I did 148 quarts of pumpkin last year. He loves canning pumpkin. But I have been canning a lot of other foods. I am doing your method this year. Thanks!! Love your family
Brooke, I appreciate you sooo much! You help me to keep going crazy with the pain that I have every day! You help keep my mind on something else! Luv you bunches!!! ❤
I've canned for many many years and all I say is you are an awesome teacher. If I was you I would definitely volunteer for extention service or some organization that could use your talent
Love canning. This recipe looks delicious! I typically do small batch in my electric canner so I look forward to giving this a try. Nothing more satisfying than seeing the beautiful jars on the shelf. 😘
I love your canning videos Brooke! Well, I love all your content. But it's so great to have such a step by step easy to understand tutorial on canning. I have also been craving good baked beans 😂 I'm def gonna have to give this a go. ❤ Happy November!!
Love this Brooke! 👍👍😊😊❤❤ I've been canning for years and years and those home made pork n beans look so darn good ! Can't wait to see what your gunna do next video ... Have a great day !!!♥
I did not know that about the rings. My grandma canned but I don’t remember seeing her ever do it. She had a special room in her basement. Root cellar maybe? I’d see tomatoes, and other veggies. But her homemade strawberry and blueberry jams were the best I’ve ever had. I’m too scared to even think of canning and lazy if I’m being honest. It no when I was in the 3rd grade I poured a pot of scalding water down my leg that had hard boiled eggs in it. So ever since I’m really careful and paranoid around steaming liquids. I was watching getting a bit paranoid for you. So there’s that.
I'm 62 and I've never used a pressure canner because they've always terrified me, for some reason! You explained everything so well that I'm tempted to go out and get a canner now!
I got a digital one. So much easier. RoseRed Homestead tested them and they are wonderful. As an older person myself, I love being able to put my jars in and pretty much walk away. You can’t fit as much in them but I’m one person so I usually do small batch canning and it works for me. Good luck!
Just FYI @patdavey2690 I’m 62 as well and started using one only about 10 years ago. UA-cam tutorials are awesome for learning canning. Just wanted to let you know today’s pressure canners are made so they won’t blow like they used to decades ago. So they are much safer. Read your book that comes with your canner and be patient with yourself. Once you try it the first time you’ll have confidence from then on.
I just watched your emergency meals video and it showed me what I was doing wrong in my prepping, I was creating a grocery store shelf and now I'm gonna make meal kits, thank you so much can you make a video of making homemade biscuits and freezing them to cook later please? You are inspiring ❤❤❤
Brooke you are a great teacher. I just canned up a bunch of tomatoes, green beans, corn, and homemade salsa,I'll have to give your beans a try. Do you can up meat? If so can you do a video on that,I want to try but I'm nervous.... Thanks again for sharing 😊😊
This is a perfect starter tutorial, I’ve been intimidated to invest in the pressure canner because no one I know cans but I really want to start canning for a little more food security as my husband and I age. This seems do’able!
Happy Friday Sweet Brooke.. oh your canning how cool... Let's go ready to watch this.. I don't can but love to watch you do it...great price on that bacon your using...I can't afford to buy it anymore so high priced...lol how long does it take the beans to plump up soak up the sauce???? Oh ok the pressure canner cooks them... That's so cool... Like I said I'm not a canner so I apologize for any questions that may seem strange...lol.. thanks for sharing.. love y'all.. 👍 for canning month... I'll definitely watch as I do all you great videos.. love you too and see ya next time..🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰
Love this video of canning...Can you do more on canning... I'm trying to can our food, because we don't know what they are selling us at the grocery stores that's in the cans.. I love this recipe and I will be canning it... Thank y'all and God Bless...
@SouthernFrugalMomma please consider doing one canning video 1 Friday a month if nothing else. I am new to canning I need all the help I can get so please consider continuing canning videos.
You are just awesome! Very good tutorial. You make it seem so easy. But I am afraid I will have to get my beans from a can. I am to intimidated by a pressure cooker. That being said I will can vicariously through you. 😂❤

Probably one of the best videos on canning I’ve ever seen! ❤
It always helps when the person teaching throughly understands, not just what to do, but also exactly why they are doing it.
I don’t can (yet?) but never knew why people would take the rings off! Thank you for such an excellent lesson!
You never fail to teach me something new!
I love your videos…I am 77 and I learn something new all the time from you…
