So Brassica means anything in the broccoli/kale/cabbage family. It includes brussels sprouts, turnips (weirdly), broccoli, cabbage, kale, and a bunch of other vegetables. Basically we selectively bred the brassica family into a bunch of different vegetables where we harvest different parts of the plant, but they all produce similar plant structures. For example you can pick 'kale broccoli' by waiting for the kale plant to start to flower and the buds resemble broccoli, or even cabbage in the 2nd year produces a flowering stalk that resembles broccoli for a while. Anyways yeah just a broad plant species that encompasses all of those plants, even stuff like radishes and beets are part of that family if I'm not mistaken. Broccoli and cabbage are definitely the most common ones though.
All of these are superfoods. If you want to pick a veg to steam and add to your steak dinner, pick one of these. Preferably home grown or organic, not from the supermarket pesticide-steroid-GMO produce section, where every vegetable looks shiny and delicious, but tastes like crap.
