  • Hey guys this is my PelPro Pellet Stove PP130 set up and trim settings. I am using Tractor Supply pellets this took a few weeks to get totally dialed in with my set up but I found out running my Trim Setting to -1.5 runs the most efficient and reduced ash build up. I have run this stove since October 18th 2022 pretty much 24/7 except for warmer times of the day or to clean it out. So far iv only went through 28 bags of pellets, I am happy with the efficiency of this set up. I will post more videos of the stove and how it's going throughout the winter. Thanks guys!

    I run mine on -1.5 as well. Had it for a year now and has been a great stove.

    You didn’t pull the temperature probe out of the back of the stove. Your stove will work much better if the probe is pulled out & mounted half way up the wall behind the stove.

      Is the temp probe the little rubber tipped wire on the same side as dial in the back ?

      @jeffneuman7372 11 місяців тому

      Yes it is. You have to open the side panel to undo it and get it out.

      @@jeffneuman7372 awesome thank you, I just checked it and pulled it out and attached it to the wall behind the stove. Thank you for the advice as there nothing in the book about this

    Crazy you had to dial yours back to -1.5. Mine to run correctly had to be dialed up to 3.5. The I did the software update and now I had to dial it all the way back to -3. Im not sure what the heck needs to be done to get the stove to cycle correctly as it seems to run constantly. Also thanks for the video. Its nice to see other setups and configurations. My fresh intake is not piped outside either as I have plaster walls and didn't want to put another hole through.

    Have the same stove, how do u turn the auger down to not spit pellets out too fast?

    Recently my stove has been producing a heavier black ash. I clean the interior of the fire chamber every two to three days or if I've ran out of pellets. I haven't had time to clean out the exhaust fan side yet, but I did clean out the intake fan. I've only ever ran the trim at -4 running woods and sons 100% eastern pine. Might be answering my own question here but probably the exhaust fan needs cleaning?

      Have you removed and cleaned the 3 baffle plates inside the fire box? When ash builds up behind them, it restricts the airflow and causes black soot. You need to clean behind the baffle plates every month or two depending on usage.

      @@halfstep67 I did clean the baffles. I was doing this once a month but I'm thinking I need to do it twice. That thick black ash did go away after cleaning the baffles.

    I’m having such an issue with mine, took the fans out to clean both of them and put them back exactly how it came out and now it won’t stay lit for more then a couple hours and will blink red 1 time! Any help?

      I always have to reset mine but there was a couple good comments on here. You can always call pelpro they have a hotline. I've had nothing but trouble since day 1. On the second stove now. First one the mother board went out. Second one had leftover screw in the auger lol.

    Does it have a auger in the bottom? Is it just gravity fed?

    • @frankchris07
      @frankchris07 10 місяців тому

      Auger. Use hardwood pellets and never put damp or wet pellets in your heater.

      @@frankchris07 is the auger in the top just to feed the pellets or in the bottom to rotate them. I know that bottom ones tend to get stuck.
