You my good sir...are the MVP. All the other videos wanted me to call a service repairman...their serviceman......but with your help we are freaking warm again. Be careful with your pellets people. My auger was jammed with a screw...I get the bags I sit them in my wood bucket (I recently switch from wood to pellet) and then put bags in. Not blaming no one just saying be careful.
Great video, I drained the pellets, and banged on the auger with a hammer for a little bit, then banged on the area where the pellets drop into the stove, then banged back on the auger a little more and it started working. Thanks for saving me the money, I really appreciate your video.
@@XwpisONOMA lol no really i am dead serious, it worked. After reading my comment again i can see how it looks like i am joking but i am not. I didn't smash it to bits, just kept tapping the pipe that feeds the pellets and it eventually freed the jammed pellets. it took about 5 minutes of continuous tapping, also my taps were probably a little harder than he would recommend but i saw bits coming out so i just kept going. I also did this while the auger was on and trying to feed pellets.
If TSC did a video on how to change the clutch in your car: first, jack up the car. Then remove the transmission. Unbolt the clutch, and bolt the new one in place. Reinstall transmission, and lower the car off the jack.
Wow, fixed my pellet stove after watching this video, took me 15 minuts to realise a wood piece was stuck in the auger. Nice video to get you started Thankx
We have a king 5500 and it quit dispensing pellets it blew a fuse in auger 1 st fuse and also blew main fuse. Can u tell me the proper volts for these. Dry hard for me to see. Also after replaced said fuses it shows Err5 which is auger jam or bad. I am a 79 yr old woman and wondered how I can fix it
0:52 Kind of looks like my pel pro 130, which jams up on a regular with half a bag and I've tried many varieties. Definitely a design flaw, it makes tons of dust in the bottom of the hopper. Hopefully by restricting the pellet inlet to the auger might help, hopefully a few days I'll be able to tell if my fix works. It's not too much fun coming home to a cold house after being outside all day
Tractor Supply Corporate: To team members: Hey team we need someone to 1/2 ass a lazy video for all the slobs that bought our inferior stoves. Just get it done!
I have a pellet stove but it is a slide into fireplace type. I cannot pull it out by myself so I must have to have a service call if this happens. Incidently it has not happened yet! Thank You for this video.
I will try tapping with a mallet next time ( primitive pete videos in shop class told us never to use a hammer) but if the mallet / hammer won't work I will take the cover plate off the auger from above and unclog it . I'm too old and blind ( and fat) to be dismantling the auger in that dark little space. Thanks
it is a tad misleading The back vent has to come off. Than that back panel as well. This is not shown in the video. From there you can get to the motor. Pull the pin ad the motor comes right off. From there it is three screws. The pull the augur out. I did this yesterday and now my stove works great again.
I have an old englander and the E3 code has been coming on and the stove would shut off on its own. Today the same thing happened but this time when I turned it back on almost immediately it started blowing smoke out the front vents and there was no lit fire. Then the exhaust shoot started blowing smoke out into the house. We had a house full of smoke and almost started a fire. So what does the E3 code mean and how do I fix this problem?
+chachee15 So sorry to hear about this issue -- if you contact our Customer Solutions Team at 1-877-718-6750 (option 4, then option 9), they can help answer any questions you have.
I took out my pellets out of the hopper then took off the 4 screws off the cover plate for the auger and unclogged it that way . I can hear the pellets dropping into the now.

What if the auger is so jammed that it can not be moved, even with the auger motor removed? ALL these vids just say pull the motor, slide the auger right now. Nope, not if yous is TRULY stuck/jammed.
Jack Burton I'm having the same problem with my pellet stove too I pound it with a hammer it just won't budge or turn even tried to turn it with a pipe wrench
I ended up unwinding a coat hanger and using it as if i were snaking clogged plumbing. Had a bunch of pellets that somehow had got lodged up and got the whole thing jammed up something crazy. Took a while but eventually i had scraped enough out with it that i was able to get things movin.
Pull out all the pellets... Vacuum it clean... Then slowly turn it and wiggle it up and down... Barely... Also... Check to see if the motor fell off from the side panel... It's just a cotter pin that holds it... Hope this helps.

You are joking of course but that's OK, we understand!

It did sound like you were joking, but sometimes it works...
I just vacuumed mine & IT WORKED..

Just like taking the bad parts out of a jet engine and flying around the world so simple! Thank you

I really love the lack of pictures, how to video should be more in-depth not some guy just stand there yapping
I was thinking the same exact thing! Idiot.
thank you very much it worked with gentle hammering method

You dam right, china built junk parts killing your reputation for made in America..we know most of them are imports now.
Not surprised its a tractor supply video discussing auger jams. Their pellets are notorious for being poor quality and jam constantly.
I have a pellet stove but it is a slide into fireplace type. I cannot pull it out by myself so I must have to have a service call if this happens. Incidently it has not happened yet! Thank You for this video.
This always seems to happen when the pellet stove is full of pellets. It never happens when its almost out of pellets 😂

Thx so much I just tapped the top of the auger inside the hopper and it broke free Flat earth
Would have been helpful if you showed what it looks like on the inside
I agree. I would have liked to see him physically do what he was verbally saying.
agree!

at First I thought he is Channing Tatum. lol
Come Team Member..you can do a better job!!!...TRACTOR UP MAN...
NOTICE.... FYI.... THE COTTER PIN THAT HOLDS THE MOTOR TO THE AUGER MAY HAVE FALLEN OUT... CHECK IT FIRST... IT'S HAPPENED TO MINE...

Disconnecting ( anplugging) the appliance should be the first step..and the auger motor too...
Thanks Captain obvious
How about next time showing how to do it as opposed to telling me what I already assumed
What a crappy "how-to" video! He didn't show How to do ANYTHING!
Literally showed us nothing.
My brand new king pellet stove kp 130 door keeps opening! It won’t stay shut!
Hahaha...what a waste of time!!
I did it myself thanks to Woodglut.
