@subas thapa first of all hes using his own proprietary benchmarking tool that no one else is allowed to use or even see. It leaves the potential for issues or manipulation wide open.
Aside from that, its his position that benchmarks are 100% infallible, a position i strongly disagree with. Especially in light that many benchmarks treat different OSes differently. He also has refused to address issues with Geekbench, such as it not being able to register clock frequency properly on Android or how its scale is based on an X86 processor instead of an ARM processor for mobile devices
I am a huge android fan and I was expecting the iPhone to win.

Thing is that, the result will always be like this, iPhone has advantages while importing videos and images which let's it cruise ahead in the second row then the Android devices catches up in the last 2 rows and finishkng the first round by like 2-4 seconds behind and then it's all on ram management. And even if iPhone manages to keep all apps in the memory the difference between then would be like 1-2 seconds anyway. It's fun to watch but very hard to apply practically in real life nowadays.

Jack Demetriou Galaxy is the better all around phone true, but it doesn’t run iOS and nor is it as fully compatible with the Apple ecosystem that an iPhone is. So for ALOT of people, including myself, the iPhone is a better phone to them.

It's an amazing device, but it's lead will quickly get beat by the OnePlus 7. Samsung is always under-clocking their Snapdragon chip-set for better parity with their Exynos variant, which is a tad bit annoying.

Yes, iphone performed much worse here than in previous tests. Sometimes was wrong. Stuttering was unusually high here and ram management was poor too.

iphone won the first lap. Samsung the second. I personally have had terrible luck in getting samsung phones to last for more than four years. With iPhones it hasn't been a problem. At this current state though, Samsung is better. Later, the iPhone will be the winner in being more fluid and smooth over time. Two great phones! Androids cosutomization wrecks iOS. However, iOS is smoother.

Of course, IOS needs less RAM to work, while Android needs more. However, let's assume that the IOS needs 2 gigs of Ram to work, and the Android 4. On the iPhone, there will be 2 gigs left for the applications, on Android, 4 will be left, twice the iPhone.

Sadly the Samsung camera app is utter garbage. I downloaded the Google camera boys APK on my note 9 and that actually harnessed the true power of the Samsung camera. My Pixel 2 can't even compare to the note 9 camera once I did that app switch. And I thought I was just imagining things and I tried both apps taking the same exact picture and the Samsung stock app was just bad and missing so much detail while the Google Camera app really brought the picture to life. So for all the Samsung users, get the Google camera app via APK, your camera will greatly appreciate it.

Good to know that the iPhone is still faster. Ram management means nothing to me if the apps themselves will always open reliably faster than the competition. The first lap is the only lap I care about. I know what the end result was but keeping a high amount of apps open at a time isn't a priority for most people. So long as at least the last 3 or 4 apps can stay relatively open it's good.
I'll choose the S10+ because I want its large disk space, cloud and micro-SD expandability.

bra ndon 4 seconds is quite significant in 2019, considering the Galaxy has a 6 month new processor. Galaxy has way more RAM anyways, which is why it did dominate the RAM section. Previous videos shows the iPhone keeping open the Microsoft apps, not sure what went on with this video.

@@fns3159 nah, that lap only applies if ur phone went from a fresh start (after restarting or turning it on after shutdown), the second lap is way more important. This happened way more often, cuz no one is turning their phone off anymore.
A Galaxy S10+ with SD855 and LineageOS or PixelExperience would beat the iPhone XS Max I think and also has great animations then (Google does great animations in P).
It's the storage medium that's holding it back at this point. No amount of software optimization can turn the tides between them.
I just can't understand, how IPhone finish the 02:22 seconds at the other tests against to oneplus 6t or mate 20 pro? But in this test IPhone finish at 02:41🤔 seconds!! and Galaxy s10+ finish at 02:25🤔. So in the overall results shows that IPhone (02:22 seconds) still the all tests champion and second is oneplus 6t by McLaren edition (02:23 seconds).
Updates slow it down, also apps get updates which make them harder to open and run. Which is why snapchats latest update won't be available on the iPod 4

People are forgetting that the older iphone Xs still won in the actual app opening speed, and still managed to keep most apps open despite having 4GB RAM. Previous samsung phones with 4GB RAM reloaded everything. Iphone Xs with 4GB RAM keeping a lot of the heavy apps open is impressive in itself.
maybe apple should stop being so stingy and add more ram .. 4gb in 2019 is unaccepatable .. my grandma still uses an samsung s7 edge that was made in 2016 uses 4gb ram ! LOL

Most people are not going to keep so many heavy apps open in the background. Iphone Xs does more than enough, and the lower RAM hasn't been an issue unlike samsung phones of the past. It would have been unacceptable if it's poorly optimized where I have to retype my email posts whenever I exit and switch to another app with my previous samsung galaxy S8 with 4GB RAM.

Samsung still uses aluminum and not stainless steel, removed the iris scanner, removed LED notification, did not improve the main camera sensor and kept it similar to the S9 that still produces over-exposed images, vid stabalisation on 4k camera is still mediocre, under screen fingerprint scanner does not work properly, cheaped out with UFS 2.1 storage instead of using UFS 3.0, it will get laggy and slow over time, and you still get slow software/security updates, yet they still had the gall to charge a high price, yes?
Even if Samsung lost it's still would be a better phone because of the headphone jack 💯. Underrated feature tbh

No, Technically the 855 is faster not only in CPU power but in GPU power. Why you see iPhone beating the android phone is the fact of the iPhone being more optimized, Oh why cant android phones be more optimized you may ask, Well that's due to the fact of app developers and google not being able to optimize the millions of different types of android phones in the world. Apple on the other side has only a few phones making it easier for developers to optimize its apps and games.

For starters, in terms of technology, the 855 does indeed have more future proof advantage than the a12 bionic. But that's where the software comes into play. As you all know if the software is optimized to run on slower devices, it can utilize the capacity of the hardware itself.
The reason why iphones tends to be faster is due to the software (not the animation and loading etc.) the software itself.
ipxs max only has 4gb ram and 6core processor compared to the 8gb ram s10+ with 8core processor (not to mention there is also a 12gb variant)
so to put it in a simple perspective, the iphone has better engineering behind it, see if you reverse the situation, an android phone with 4gb ram and 6cores vs ios with 8gb ram and 8 cores, it will be nowhere near this comparison.

Love your speed tests man, I dont see why the S10+ took so long to load subway surfers. Every other speed tests I've seen has shown the S10+ blowing thru subway surfers almost twice as fast as the XS Max
You guys should show a leaderboard of the past and current phone buff times. Like each phone that you guys tested it's wins and loses so we can compare.
From what I'm understanding is that the update the iPhone got messed up the ram management and that's why the s10 won so compare it also with older phone like the OnePlus 6t and if it looses then it confirms that apple try to slow down their phones so you can buy a new one

Lol. I chuckle every time at these speed tests. They're both great devices and nobody - I mean NOBODY uses their devices in this fashion. "I should buy a Samsung because I always open 20 apps before going back to my open spreadsheet." Or " I should buy an iPhone because I need to have my flip diving app open 1 second faster after I've opened 14 other apps...". I understand you've got to keep your biz moving forward and generating those clicks plus you've got to justify that sweet robotic arm thing but... Utterly worthless test. Both great phones.

Heavysoldjier Gaming to be honest, I find that sometimes I have a number of apps open but at that point in not really going for speed... It's just how things work out sometimes. If I've got 28 apps open and there's a little lag in going back to UA-cam, that's on me.

Your tests are the best and that’s the truth. As an iPhone user I have been saying for years they need to step up their RAM and it’s ridiculous in this day and age to have 4 gigs when other phones in the same league have at least 6. The RAM management was the downfall of the iPhone at the end because it would have won beating a 2019 phone. Take note Apple. Stop being cheap. Optimization is not everything. Add more RAM already!

Ultimately it comes down to what OS you prefer and will use to make your life easier. I'm an Android user and always will be but if you prefer IOS and don't see yourself ever switch to a Samsung, then go right ahead. Both phones are fast. Both iOS and Android are fast and have their perks. But in the end, it's up to you.

I know S10 is a beast phone but the iPhone has beaten the S10’s time by 3 seconds when it was up against the 1+6 12GB edition
This could be due to multiple factors such as firmware updates and/or apps which have also been updated to more recent versions. These could alter load times in both positive and negative ways but based on this test the "current" net effect are longer load times.
Phonebuff also said that they also did multiple trials, so I'm sure it wasn't just a one-off thing.

Hate to say but i think because of the latest software update dude. And also all phone doesnt perform always the same speed. Sometimes slower, sometimes faster.

Hi David. Good speed test comparison as usual. Your drop test videos are good too. That was good the Galaxy S10+ was able to beat the iPhone XS Max in the speed test. I think the first Samsung phone to ever beat an iPhone in a speed test was the Galaxy Note 8 which I currently have. At the time the speed test was conducted on your channel. It was the Note 8 vs the iPhone X. Just like how the S10+ was able to beat the iPhone XS Max in this video due to better RAM management, it was the same scenario at the time between the Note 8 and iPhone X speed test comparison. The true competitor for the Galaxy S10+ is the upcoming iPhone 11 Max (iPhone XI Max). If this year's 11 Max comes with at least 6 GB of RAM, then I think it might beat the Galaxy S10+ later in the year. RAM management will be improved if Apple makes the 11 Max equipped with at least 6 GB of RAM. If it remains at 4 GB then the S10+ will beat it and also the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 which I'll get will beat it too. The Note 10 will be an absolute BEAST when it arrives later on this year based on information I've gotten from couple sources. Can't wait to get my hands on it when it gets released.

This time of year we tend to compare benchmarks of Samsung's latest 2019 phones to Apple's 2018 iPhones. Samsung's phones were just released this month, and Apple's 2019 iPhones will be introduced in about 2 ½ months.
The fact that Apple's 2018 phones are so close in speed to Samsung's 2019 phones is commendable. In the first week of June we will be getting benchmarks for Apple's 2019 iPhones... I have zero doubt that they will blow away any other 2019 phone on the market. 😁👍
