I was a technician in Ireland's main telephone company for over 33 years and I worked with multicore cables all the time . We take these manufacturing processes for granted and tend to just see the end product. There is so much interdependence on different skills in so many areas of modern life . Even here we have to remember these machines were probably made by someone else , the plastic wraps , the actual wires etc. Most of what we see every day around us is truly amazing in complexity , and that's without even considering the natural world .

I respect factory line workers. It’s hard to do the same thing 1000 times a day. Use to work in a top line Aussie bed maker (the biggest) and they use to get antsy over missing your daily targets by a few numbers.
