You can tell that the scout is really scared, did'nt scream or whimper, just frozen
Like me one time i saw a sillouete in the dark after i woke up in the night, staring me silently, something(not human) was there and i was sure about it, it wasn't a dream
I was so scared that i didn't move, or either make a sound[like a scream for help], i just stood there frozen for a few seconds while also looking at it, and then, i slept.
can relate the feeling
@@9another632 sounds like sleep paralysis. When you go to sleep your brain prevents you from moving your body so you don't hurt yourself in your sleep, but sometimes you can wake up and your brain thinks you're still asleep. These situations are often accompanied by a sleep paralysis demon. I've had one peek at me from around a door once, similar to scouts moms head in the video.
didn't🤓🤓

I am INCREDIBLY impressed by how well Solider handled the fight against Scout. No panic, nothing- he casually breaks down a door, picks up Demo and trots up some stairs. True horror movie survivor.
Soldier is far too lead poisoned to be scared of mutated scout.
@@DrBright5558 tf2 If there were no ammo packs
The movie stayed true to the personalities.
Soldier is not a genius but has the fighting spirit and is battle hardened.
Spy was clever but arrogant and narcissistic, while he commited the most mistakes.
Like soldier, demo too is a battle hardened veteran that remained functional even without a limb.
Sniper was bitter and cold, dedicated to secure kills and took pleasure in killing.
Pyro was mysterious, you never really knew how he was going to act or see him coming.
Medic, a genius that was constantly on the verge of madness.
Engi, a calm and collected mind, doing the work and getting the pay.

Some details I noticed on repeat watches that made it feel even more bone-chilling.
1: They killed his mom without her getting time to react, and any noise was likely drowned out by the film playing. And then used a voice changer to fake her voice. When you parse it out from the film playing, it can sound so obvious, especially since it's meant to be his own mother, but considering Scout sustained some brain damage from the respawn system's glitches, he doesn't register it.
2: Something's gone wrong with the oven off to the side. It used to have a casserole and what looked like some bread, but both trays were removed and replaced with an unidentifiable mass.
3: The film is simply called "M", and is a German noir film about a murderer who targets children, with the key identifier of the murderer being that he compulsively whistles "In the Hall of the Mountain King". It establishes that one of the assailants is chillingly familiar with the film and is reenacting it to remind Jeremy of his position; a scared kid (albeit more just immature since he's in his early 20s) who's about to be slaughtered like a lamb. Another establishing factor of it is that many people of authority in the town want him behind bars not just for killing children, but because police investigations are causing _their_ illegal dealings to slow to a crawl, and Ludwig's investigation into his kidnapping leads to Jules' own shady dealings to be exposed.
4: That chess set was perfectly set up and ready for a standard game when he sat down. They arranged it to send a message that he's alone, and absolutely cornered, and since it's directly next to him it also sends the point that they are toying with him.
5: Throughout the film, a point is made of people put through the respawn machine hearing and inadvertently interacting with previous conversations thanks to their tenuous connection to the afterlife, both in person and over the phone. You assume at a glance this might be the case rewatching it, but this _isn't_ the case here because not only was it never a phone conversation, but there's no later moment where he hears himself reacting to this information because it's a recording from just a few moments ago. It's a situation where the sense of mystery is actively taken away to make it clear that it was an act of premeditated cruelty to show that they've had his house bugged this entire time.
Holy damn this was excellent
The comment is so talented
Okay. This is an amazing analysis!
WAIT THAT'S WHAT THE M TAPE SCOUT GOT FROM MEDIC'S OFFICE WAS? I thought it was a mystery like heavy's briefcase.
@@cookiebombcasualemail5284 Yeah. It’s a really famous film. I recommend it.

Pyros face strikes a personal nerve with me. it reminds me of a childhood nightmare, one with a masked silhouette with a glowing white theatre mask, in the unique shape of an Angry expression.
Scary Deja vu eh?
Bro dreamed Emesis Blue before Emesis Blue was even in production
@@DefinitelyNotATrolldierAnd that guys is how dreams predict things
Something that makes the scene in scouts home even more disturbing, is the lack of spine attached to the head of scouts mom, implying that she yelled to scout that dinner was ready, got silently killed, decapitated and had the spine removed from her head.
If she was decapitated, it would make noise with the thud of the body falling to the floor, let alone the impact of whatever could have sliced cleanly through her neck AND spine.
Sneak 100

Sneak 100
Plot twist: (That clearly doesnt make sense, but still i want to share whats on my dumb brain cause why not?)
Pyro was imitating her voice or playing a radio dialogue the whole time... and shes already decapitated... creepily stalking scout with her head on his hand
@@Maxsteel_4014 that would make sense
Idk if it's just me, but the when scouts moms says "dinners ready dear". Something sounds off, it feels like someone is impersonating her voice. When scouts mom was talking earlier, her talking was very fluid, but when she says "dinners ready dear" her tone is entirely flat, she says words somewhat awkwardly and her voice is slightly higher pitched than normal. I think it was someone having to impersonate her on the fly. I could be entirely wrong though.
Posible Voice recorder? Since they used them before they might recorded it from before like yesterday

I never even noticed until you said something, holy crap.
there are currently 3 scenes stuck in my head; the one you talked about in scout's home, the bone chilling reveal of a faceless pyro, and when we see that medic is wearing another person's face. those were the only scenes in anything scary to make me say "no thank you nope nah im leaving"
I think faceless pyro is also really notable especially when considering that the texture used for his face is a real burnt human face from a med book
I thought medic was just missing his eyes in that scene.
@Winters118 fun fact: the medic's model during that scene is the exact model he has at the end of the film, in the car crash
@@wheel4155 I know that but I'm just trying to figure out what scene he's wearing someone's face
@@Winters118 yeah i dunno which scene theyre referring to either

3:12 Dude, I had watched the entirety of emesis blue, and NEVER noticed the pyro standing there. I was too busy looking at the shadow to notice him just standing there.. MENACINGLY!
same, honestly i kinda liked it more if the pyro wasnt there
@@dylanbksp I respect your opinion, but personally, Im fine with the pyro being there as his face mask being the only thing visible does make it creepy. Combine that with the shadow showing that he has an axe.
How did you not see him? He's literally center stage
@@unoriginalperson72they did an amazing job at moving the camera during the shock value of the audience, making the question who was it and many, including me, immediately looked at the wall. I guess the short frames we have to look could also be the reasoning.
@@luisturtle1200 100% correct. The camera work made me focus on the shadow, making it even creepier when I actually saw it.
actually the pyro wasn't whistling, it's from the movie on the tv. In the movie, the murderer whistles hall of the mountain king whenever he is about to kill. the movie is called M(1931) and it's free on youtube. I highly reccomend, it is truly a good movie for it's time.
Thanks for the recommendation, the movie does look quite promising
Wait a minute, that the same name of the vhs tape that scout grabbed 😮
And it's seen on the walls of scouts home after the murder...
This is probably my favorite scene from the SFM as well. But I will add that one of my favorite details that comes right after this scene, is when Ludwig enters the room, and the shadow of his head passes over the wall like the shadow of the murderer in M. Also, some people online noticed that, as Scout is sitting on the couch tossing the baseball from hand to hand, Medic's head (probably the one shown later in the movie where his eyes have been gouged out, is in the shadows beside the couch on the right side of the frame.
OH GOD I see the head, that is so good. Love little stuff like this, really adds to the experience even after you watch it once. It blends in just enough that if you don't know what you're looking for, you'll miss it.
I brightened it up and oh wow I have no idea how anyone say that! It's such a neat detail~
The first time I watched Emesis Blue, 1:59 This particular scene sent shivers everywhere in my body.
The eyes being blacked out due to the dim lighting, her head is visible but not too exposed. This scene was absolutely horrifying for me.
For me when Medic was looking at the respawn machine was so damn real
I believe ''the creature'' / monster scout was a failed respawn in which a new version of the scout grew in the afterlife void with no or very little stimuli of any kind and being unable to die this didn't kill him of course, so this new version grew for about 27 years into a pale, lanky, possibly almost if not entirely blind and instinctual monster.
Something I don't see people talking about is how his mothers voice...changes. "So how was the Doctor dear?" "Did you ask him to stop by?" "What's the matter with him." All have the same cadence and tone to them. But "Dinner's ready dear" sounds...warped. Almost fake, even. It sounds higher pitched. Almost as if, someone is mimicking her.
I like how the man in the movie says "Nice ball you have", it may look like he's talking to the girl, but i personally think that he was talking to scout, since scout was playing with a ball too
I thought this comment was a sheißepost about scouts balls
I'm gonna say this, the first time I saw the movie and the many times I saw this scene, I always kept looking at the shadow, confused. Just know I realized Pyro was there and I'm not kidding, my heart rate raised a shit ton.
There's something about watching tv in the dark by yourself then seeing a head peaking out from somewhere, you can tell somethings off but don't know what it is until it drops
One of my favourite design choices behind Emesis Blue was to make all of the character’s eyes as clear as possible. The highlight of the eyes allows us to see every little emotion of the characters, even in complete darkness
Scouts Mum: 🗿
At least scout didn't have any siblings...
The comics state hes one of like 13 children. Hopefully they moved out and arent bumming off their mom anymore. Probably saved their lives
First time I saw that scene, my blood ran cold, and I got the nastiest chills ever. Emesis blue is literally the greatest horror film I've ever seen and it's literally better than the stuff that multi-billion dollar companies make.
I personally think the hanging corpse is scarier. There's no sound except the straining ropes swinging this man's body and you just see soldier's terrified face making you wonder who is the man and why is soldier more shocked about this than the times where he killed an abomination, killed his zombified self, and leaving his partner behind
my favorit scen of this movie was, the scen when Engineer star playing piano will whe are hearing scout behing tortured to death
It was the whole time too. The whole time Medic was behind the corner, under the table, and fighting engineer he was screaming in the background. Only when the Piano engineer died you noticed it was completely silent.
This is one of those scenes that makes the coldest chill you've felt run down your spine
The only 1 scene that scares me every time i watch this, is the scene of the soldier opening the cage of the demo man and that cursed scour starts to chase him with the lights flickering
Just, the voice and distorted screams of that creature, the form, the moviment and the freaking bone breaking sounds every time it moves, as if it's bones weren't made for this phisical form
And the moment when soldier discovers that this thing disappeared? Yea thanks, now i cant close my eyes at night
Later his mothers head is described as being removed with a hacksaw, the shadow is pyro's
For me 2 scenes stick, the scout monster that you talked about, and the rise of the red zombies part, idk, it just caught me, made me feel actual fear which I did not feel in a long time without jumpscares, maybe it’s that they were slowly getting closer and that the characters were in actual trouble, at the end of all, I cannot look at respawn points in games the same way
Holy shit, I never noticed the Pyro there and that is so god damn terrifying, when you moved to the scene I thought you were talking about the shadow, and I just looked a bit to the right and that illuminated mask is going to haunt me, cause i didnt notice him in the two times I've watched the scene
"For me this is a *SHINING* example"
Nice
Not to mention that the food in the oven was switched for the scene. They draw a bit of attention to it when they first show you what’s inside (a lasagna or something), but then when she peeks from the wall there is a clearly different object inside the oven, implying that the killer put her inside.
It is just now that I realize that about the shadow. That it wasn't the pyro, but the medic. Yeah call me supid for realzing it now. God Emesis Blue is just that great
Now that you explained the scene itself, I kid you not, I did not notice the pyro staring at scout
The movie was a fever dream I watched it a few days ago and yeah this scene did stick out. Fucking loved it!
same, the first scene has been in my head for a whole week, it's so well made
Truth About Respawn Machine.
This movie had me on edge the entire time, this is legitimately one of my favourite sceenes in any movie ive watched.
I literally didn't even notice the pyro at all during my constant replays of the scene, I was locked onto the axe murderer's shadow.
I love how much theory potential this film has
I like how that they used blue soldier and red demoman for them to work together because in canon tf2 story they are both friends
I watched the movie 3 times once myself and twice watching other people react, and it wasn't until the third viewing that I actually saw pyro in the dark. I had only seen the shadow on the wall which I think is brilliant, because if you don't see pyro and only the shadow you'd think there was just one person and your first assumption would be that it was medic, but after rewatching it you'd notice pyro and make the connection that maybe it wasn't medic who murdered scouts mom.
It was evil medic and pyro
I loved this scene because when I first saw it, I didn’t initially register his moms head there, it was only until it was dropped that I saw it.
Jesus, I didn’t even know the pyro was there until this.
Horror: 😐
Terror/tension: 👏🫴🏆❤️😁🎉🎊
The strategy of using the character's reaction before seeing what it is is best used in the shining. Since this film is heavily inspired by it, that strategy was used amazingly here too
Go back and really listen to her last line, you will notice her voice changes. This implying that wasn't even her speaking as she was already dead.
There's more implications that it's the Medic because Scout steals the film from Medic's collection of tapes that gets knocked over as they're leaving the clinic, the movie being a German film and the fact that the killer would have had to have had some kind of extensive knowledge about this film, and the fact that when Scout gets "rescued", his immediate reaction is immense anger and hatred for the Medic.
Bro I can’t believe that wasn’t a movie reference of some sort, it’s fucking disturbing, what a scene.
This scene has the chess pieces too. The pawn surrounded by four castles showing this homie is well outnumbered and all odds against him.
There was a lot of scenes like this in this movie.
The first time we see the fucked up scout is actually the last time we see him in the timeline, due to the time shenanigans
When scout was freed from a coffin by medic in the abandoned red base near the intelligence room whereever that place was, scout hit medic and ran, even implying that medic did something to scout (which is killing his mum as you can see in the video)
My theory: that pyro is spy, from the future (they both wear black, White mask, have been burn, cant speak)
i remember hearing about emesis blue and so i decided to watch it and as soon as it got to this part i was like "nah thats enough youtube for today"
We are doing recaps and reviews on SFM horror stuff now?
That’s interesting
this was the only scene that genuinely gave me a jump so bad that my heart started to race, now that is horror.
Man I didn't even notice The Butcher/Pyro standing there. My eyes were drawn to the shadow.
Ever wondered what was going on in the soldiers trench flashback. Like its clearly a ww2 trench battle no questions asked, but the scout, spy, pyro, and presumably medic and sniper are seen and kind of heard. There's no indication that soldier even knew any of these individuals except possibly the scout? Like maybe scout was an actual military scout pre-tf2/emesis blue stuff? Idk, its just intriguing to me and makes me wonder what even occurred during the soldiers supposed ww2 days.
In the beggining soldier without eyes says "my eyes hurt" he probably has seen the soldier, so did medic and got PTSD
The realization that scout not only had to witnessed his mother severed head be dropped to the floor but to slowly realize he had Ben cornered by two very ill intended individuals shown by the second shadow on the wall With the axe?/saw
I admire this scene heavily too, probably the best horror scene I have ever seen, kind of ironic that it wasn't from some high budget horror movie.
this scene seriously scared me and i had to take like 10 minutes to calm down-
Even though i barley understood Emesis Blue, I'm pretty sure the Medic was the one that killed Scout's mother due to how insane he is and how he himself seemingly kidnapped Scout along with Pyro helping the Medic but its still really confusing.
I highly doubt that considering pyro tries to kill medic later, the conaghers are the ones who locked up scout as well. So that doesn’t really make any sense. His weapon is there but I assume he used it against that officer later shown when soldier and spy are in the house investigating. It’s still very vague of course, I just don’t see how medic did it personally
I don’t say this as a joke but I honestly believe that emesis blue is the best horror movie in terms of pure horror imo
After I watched this film, I was gaming in my room late at night. I looked at my chandelier on top of my staircase and I keeping hallucinating that there’s a man watching me.
Its so cool to see someone actually making a movie from tf2 characters and it was so good aswell.
I like how well the movie is the quality, lore and characters arc.
I cant say much because im to impressed of the movie.
I shivered my timbers after realising scouts mom was in the oven, especially the fact you can hear her voice change after she says "dinners ready"
oof i didnt notice that she was in the oven and that her voice changed
@@wwillss it used to be some normal thing but after dinners ready quote and hearing voice change while her separate head looks at scout you can see something mutilated in the oven, probably his mum

Great thing to watch at 12 am

- Mad hatter (never said that)
I like to think the chess board foreshadows how the entire film almost takes it's place all because of Scout's disappearance, and that the blue pawn resembling scout is surrounded by the red that could signify the people who went searching for him while also being the people who captured/tortured him. All coming to a crossroad with each other because of him. The pawns could signify the engineer brothers while the king and queen could also signify the bigger characters in the film as possibly standing for Spy, Soldier, and Medic, as they were the only people who were there searching for someone in the facility. I don't know who the piece standing in the corner of the board could be but my theory is that it's meant to be the one who is the main culprit/murderer/or bad guy in the story. Could possibly be signifying Jules Archibald, or Medic being the one who hides in the dark because he's also the most mysterious in knowing if he's really a good guy/victim or a Psychopath who set up his own game for himself through the film since the beginning.
Although, because of the difference in color, it's obviously trying to send a message to the viewers that there is only 1 blue, and multiples of red, meaning Scout is the main victim in this scene, and the others are his enemies. But that also makes me curious because if I believe that the red is closing in on the blue pawn that's supposed to be scout and the others, then what if everyone else is red because nobody is innocent in the film. Everybody is a bad guy not because of who they might be, but because of what they did. Soldier was a coward in the war who couldn't bear to watch friends and kids die, the spy murdered people for his own personal benefits, the medic is clearly a psychopath yet he doesn't want to believe he's done wrong to people if he simply wants to help, Jules Archibald kept secrets that were so dark he'd run away to avoid the consequences like a coward and leave it for others to resolve it for him, especially the fact that the original bodies of Soldier, Scout, Demoman, and Medic were possibly long dead and were merely copies/clones of themselves just brought to the same area where they came from without knowing it.
I'm not saying this' all true to the film, but it could certainly give you that idea that really rattles your brain because the entire film, even if you watch it all the way through, could still leave you clueless in all the mysteries that left you questioning more that might never or may not so easily be answered from anyone else.

When I first watched Emesis Blue (it was late at night home alone) and when I saw that’s scene I didn’t even had an idea it was scouts mom. I thought it was a Mandela catalogue like Intruder. Anyways the scene gave me chills and made me take a break
It's disturbing how the shadow looks exactly like Medic. It begins to add up..
that scout mother cut head scene first saw 1 K in August 2021. you can see before movie release in youtube.
when she says "dinner's ready dear", it's really distorted and odd. it makes me think that she was dead before scout even arrived.
BRO WHAT I DIDNT EVEN SEE THE PRYO. IVE WATCHED THIS FILM THREE TIMES AND THAT SCENE IN TOTAL LIKE FIVE. WHAT?
in my opinion, the scariest scene in emesis blue has to be that tunnel scene towards the end of the film. The echoing screams combined with loud thumping makes this horrifying, considering we don't even know WHAT this thing could be. and the fact that the monster in the tunnel was never even shown makes it all the more unsettling. the lights going dark as Soldier moves forward too. and Soldier's slow limping too just make you kinda scared for soldier.
The first time i watched, i didn't even see the pyro, i focused so much on the shadow on the wall and he is using a black jumpsuit so he blended with the background. The second time though, i shat bricks, i was like:"wait a minute, was that always there?" XD
Me when:
"nope nope nope nuh uh nuh uh mmh hm no."
This movie really did Scout dirty
Great video, but that movie scout is watching is called M, the whistling is coming from the movie, not the pyro.
Damn didnt know that thanks for the info
And it's the tape he stole from the medic on his way out of his clinic
Wasn't the whistle from the killer
Fun fact, the whistling of in the hall of the mountain king is actually from the tv. imo this makes it creepier
this scene immediately reminded me of a creepy clip where someone was filming a fully black woman in their closet who was only staring and smiling at them. the person behind the camera thought it was their mom playing a prank on them.
i was so impressed with the horror of emesis blue to be entirely lacking in jumpscares. i'm so over jumpscares in horror, i prefer creeping vibes of fear rather than making you jump out of surprise. emesis blue's horror was so good though
I think the whispering you meant was whistling from the tv. I think the shadow is the pyro's. It may be hard to see the fire axe but the bonesaw was used to kill the mom
It took this review to see the pyro in the corner of the room, I always saw the shadow but didn’t even see the bright white mask standing there
I never even noticed Pyro, holy shit.
That second or two of scout’s mom’s severed head staring at him, when I first saw it I thought that was her ghost. And I’m not sure what scares me more. But one thing is for sure, a few seconds of uncomfortable silence is all you need to create pure terror
Thank god I'm not the only one, these scenes gave me so much fucking distress and I don't know why.
I am preaty shure that was pyros shadow because one that is undeniably his silhouette and you can't see his arm so the shadow is to reveal he was holding the ax. Also the fire axe is pyros signature melee weapon so it makes since he was the one to use it. Also i would like to note that the one who was holding the head was the plague doctor since that was the guy who was stalking everyone throughout the movie and we could see his car
(the herse) parked outside scouts house when scout was walking to the door. And more evidence for this is that the plauge doctor was ki d of implied to be the medic or at least a different version/possessed medic wich is why scout thinks medic killed his mom
For some reason, I completely missed the pyro just standing there as I was focused on the shadow.
I always get creeped out by the troup of
Looking at something then the camera pans to the side showing something with no eyes and no expression looking at you, not the character but, you.
Oh damn, I only noticed the shadow with the fire axe when I watched, I only got introduced to the pyro when he had the AR in the slaughterhouse
I saw the pyro standing in scout’s house but i never knew he was pyro I thought it was just a guy to scare you
im ngl i dont usaully feel pure aniexty and dread when im watching certain scary stuff but this shit, i felt so much goddamn fear
scout just wanted to watch tv bruh...
fun fact - the first time i saw this scene i didn't see "the pyro", just the shadow.
easily my favorite scene!
Read that as perfect blue
Wouldn't be wrong
there's one popular theory is that the Medic killed Scout's Mother.
he's doing the same trick to Sniper when holding Pyro's head after the medic decapitated pyro's head
and it's the reason why Scout is mad at the medic after the medic opens the coffin
Something that a lot of people miss is that the whistle of In the hall of the mountain king isn't from the pyro or whoever was holding up scout's mom, it's from the movie scout is watching. In the movie, the child murderer mentioned whistles the same tune whenever he's about to kill someone, which is fitting since this scene takes place as we realize that scout's mom was killed. The movie that scout was watching, M, is referenced more in Emesis blue; when medic returns to check on scout, the movie is still playing, but at this point the killer was captured and is confessing his crimes but pleading insanity, saying that he must kill. The letter M is also used to mark the child murderer earlier in the movie, and the letter M also appears multiple times in Emesis blue, most notably when spy and soldier go into scout's house; the letter M is painted in blood over scout's mom's corpse. If you pay attention you may also notice over Ms in the slaughterhouse.
Bruh, I didn't even notice the head and pyro standing in the corner.
no that is the pyros shadow you can tell cause it has the fuel canaster for the flamethrower on his back and because medic used his bone saw not an axe
