People weren’t sure how to build so some were bad but they were put as good. After that 1.3 released and it introduced The leaderboard. Basically if Robtop rates your level it would have stars and a difficulty. Then players would beat rated levels for stars. The amount of rated levels weren’t so many because they need to decorate it and have a chance that Robtop rates it. The rated levels make you go up on the leaderboard. At the top of the leaderboard was the king… called Cody. A middle schooler that made a level that had a downfall. People beat him after he was the top tho. So he needed to show them he was the king. The other people had better levels than him so he needed to make better levels than those levels. The others kept making levels that got rated and viewed. One person called jax was Better than the other ones on the leaderboard. He was famous by making a level called “auto play area”. A level that got rated as “Auto” thousands of people found the level and got 1 star for beating the level. It was the most viewed level by the time he released 1.6 players were making more levels at that time to be famous. Most of Cody’s levels were seemed as normal. They were fine until. One of Cody’s BEST levels that Cody released in: 9 years ago. Chapter 2: “level easy” by Cody Level easy is a nine year old level “right now” made by the one and only “Cody” it looks boring and normal “your average 3 star” well “Thats what you think” well Rob saw this level and probably said “ooh I should rate this”. Then 1.6 released. So this is 1.6 Cody. The update introduced “Map Packs” if you beat all 3 levels you can click a checkmark. That gets you “the amount of stars the difficulty picture has and 1 gold coin”. Beat 5 and you unlock a ship. Beat 10 and your trail can be rainbow and make your Icon have glow around it. It was really cool when it was made then. The first level in the first pack is “witch it is now the second with level easy” the first pack had: level easy by Cody. Nobody knows why it was chosen by Robtop chose it. I guess it’s a beginner pack kind of level. It kind of goes back to the first level “stereo madness”. Level easy does not have a goofy name like: red yahooey, 🎵don’t stop believin🎵. Level easy is not like your average rated levels. There was no reason for the beggining pack with level easy in it. But it is a kind of beginning level tho. Now that level easy is in the map packs. The views of level easy were insane… it beat level easy by jax (remember jax?) in views… “1M” “5M” “10M” views. Gd got more and more views. As it kept getting views Gd is so popular by then. It seemed like Cody was the king by then. His other levels got in other map packs by his king building. If you played Gd by then. You will know who he is. His level easy, was so viewed almost every Gd player knew it. This was when Cody banned jax from the throne and Cody took his spot. He was known as the “King of Geometry dash”. But then he had a challenger. Apon the update of 2.0. The beginner pack was no longer the first pack. Instead it was the “alpha pack” lead by “sonar” sonar was stared by “minesap” but it was Abandoned. Apon someone saw it and continued it it was continued by… “Jerkrat” he finished it and uploaded it on his Gd account. The level combined with the song. It represents the first level “stereo madness”. Sonar was finished to takeover level easy in views. And then it was the most viewed level. Although. Cody must of not cared about it. Then Cody simply haven’t played Gd since the release of 13 TOE. Witch was uploaded all the way back in 1.7. Where jax was probably still on top. He might not of realised he was the king. “20M” “30M” views level easy had. Cody was known by everybody. Witch was mysterious. Nobody knew if he would return. Eventually 2.1 came out (the update I started playing in) the new features were the “Gauntlets” they are modern versions of map packs. The first level of the first gauntlet was “outerspace” by nickI1202. A interesting bossfight level. Nobody knows why it was chose because fires can’t start in space. He must of had a jackpot. Now 2 levels were fairly famous and having a race to “who can have the most views?” You think this is where the downfall of Cody happens. But the king would be destroyed by something. Chapter 3: the fall of the king. Cody hadn’t played in so long. So he never registered his account. By this time the views of Gd went up. So the players were Gold registered users. While Cody was still green unregistered user. This was a HUGE problem. Because of an exploit that would be made by TeamHax. They were a group that make hacks/cheats. Witch makes the average player to noclip, speed down levels And more! Although there is something MUCH WORSE than that! One of the team hax members found an exploit that could DESTROY geometry dash. The members warned Robtop for game issues. However. A member of TeamHax found somthing called “sql injection exploit” a member of TeamHax found out you could log in to somebody’s account by doing their username and typing the password for any account. All the around logins and passwords are stored in a data base. And the members can log in to any account. While this hack had been used onto update and DELETE levels. User IDs were saw by the TeamHax. Also there is a merging account exploit. To combine any account. As long as you knew their passwords. A member did an Unthinkable thing… they took EVERY SINGLE account ID and MERGED it into the TeamHax account. This goes back To Cody. Whose account was DELETED. The script of old users that are green were. Also DELETED. If a green user was unfortunate their level would have been made by: - . This BROKE the Gd servers. Most comments and most levels were. Never found. Popular levels “deleted…” entire Once famous accounts are set by “TeamHax” Cody was unlucky and got his account deleted. Although…. There is a weird registered account called “IamCody” during the merge of accounts. TeamHax stole 3 of Cody’s levels and transferred them to that account. Today it’s unknown who made the account. Along with the three levels. And Cody’s levels were no longer his. Also level easy was no longer his. If the players did not read the description they wouldn’t know who it was by. Soon later level easy was no longer the most liked level. Instead it was “retray” by: DiMaViKuLov26. After that somthing surprising would happen. THE KING RETURNS! Chapter 4: The Comeback of the king On the 13th of march 2020 a Gd player made a video of the showcase of misanthrope and for 1 second one part said “Cody” and the truth is Mind-Exploding. Cody was still playing GD This whole time!!! He made a mobile account called “Cody 2” for years he made maps like “14 electrodynamix”. And (drumroll) “LEVEL EASY 2!”. But nobody cared bout it because it was made on “Cody 2” an account that people said “is this really Cody? Why isn’t he registered yet?” And “fake?” They thought he was a trick for account views. After failing to get a level rated. Cody changed his name to “GGininDER” out of his levels he only had 1 featured level. Only “summer breeze” had a rate. It only had fews of thousands of views tho. The king of Gd felt like half of his “GGininDER”. Over the Time sonar grew its views finally on the 21st of 2021. Sonar would take over level easy. Ending the 7 year battle. Honestly, I really don't understand why you decided to glorify a pretty random creator who happened to win Robtop's map pack jackpot the ''King'' of Geometry dash, especially when players like Michigun (Both a notorious part of the community, phenomenal player and a good builder) and Funnygame (An extraordinarily creative builder who's made many for its time masterpieces) existed. [Okay after fully watching the video entirely I kind of understand, having the most popular level of all time for a few years is quite an impressive feat, but the creator behind this notorious level... Well it seems like he didn't even put much importance to the fact that he held an insane achievement like that. It's more of a ''Reign of Level Easy'' than a ''Reign of Cody,'' honestly.
