Psychopaths can mimic human emotion. They can become very good actors in order to fit in to their particular part of society. They come from all walks of life.
For all the confusion regarding Psychopathy and Sociopathy: In practice, few Forensic Psychologists use the term Sociopathy, especially in a court setting where we need to be able to assess a person's traits objectively and back up our conclusions with sound and well-established research. Unfortunately, the exact distinction between the two terms is not entirely consistent or well-defined in the research, you will actually find that even in research people may use the terms interchangeably. So even though there are arguments for Sociopathy as distinct based on etiology (the origin or development of a condition) or certain traits, the term Sociopathy remains more of a pop-culture phenomenon whereas Psychopathy traits have been researched to the point that we can objectively measure them using an instrument like the PCL-R. In Forensic practice, Psychopathy is well established as a distinct subset of APD that can help inform our clinical recommendations regarding a person's risk, intervention needs, and treatment prognosis. At the end of the day, both terms are NOT clinical and refer to people with a similar personality and behavioral presentation that would clinically be diagnosed as Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD).
Neither of them exist anymore in clinical psychology. They're both antisocial personality disorder, no psychologist recognizes either as a diagnosis and them meaning something different is just something unaware people spread on the internet.

I heard that the term 'sociopath' was something created for the courts. Apparently it was used to describe someone who had anti-social tendencies but hadn't killed anyone.
I actually hate the fact that we can so causally discuss and watch the horrors these murderers have done and do. As a result, the forensic psychologist is elevated. Why? Because we have so so many murderers taking innocent victim’s lives and such actions are too common. That is a very sad fact.

All serial killers are MOST definitely NOT all psychopaths. Not even close to the truth. Neither are all psychopaths serial killers, in fact MOST aren't.
Corrections, we know psychopaths are born and narcissists are made and a psychopath is always a narcissist but a narcissist is not always a psychopath. This guy is not really that well educated in psychology.

This is an excellent interview by the interviewer & interviewee.
Psychopathy and sociopathy are absolutely not interchangeable...
Neither of them exist anymore in clinical psychology. They're both antisocial personality disorder, no psychologist recognizes either as a diagnosis and them meaning something different is just something unaware people spread on the internet.
Truth.
To those who are not educated and/ or trained in the workings of the mind be they as psychiatrist or psychologist, they will mixed up the two!!!

Hey, don’t forget cops!!! Many police officers fall in the psychopathy folder.

I don't think you'd be able to pick these people out from high school, unless they're extremely disturbed
*Getting to know sick twisted nutters basically.*

Not even close to the truth.

Why does she keep interrupting?

and quoting dr ramani makes you more educated in this field?
He is correct, it’s a combination of genetics and environment. Nature vs nurture…basic psychology. Go away.
@@nick-wi6et Who said that, dildo?

Most psychopaths are not serial killers though 👎👎👎
Before anyone can even be called a psychopath they should be addressed as having a borderline personality disorder
is every psycopath a killer? I think not but the title is misleading
No, definitely not.
Damn....she interrupts way to much...sheeeeessshhh
😁

Annoying interviewer.
Agreed!
I also agree. She should have studied psychology since she is way too interested in this field.
