Yes, there were one or two which were hit poorly, especially the two by Gareth where he scratched into either top pockets. However, only one single ball was missed outside of that. One ball in an entire match and every other rack was either a break and dish or a reverse dish. I don't know why you seem to be very upset by me claiming that that's a fantastic standard. It is, and as I said, it's one of the best ultimate pool matches I've ever seen. I didn't say its was the best. Tim cousinis and mick Hill have nothing to do with this match.

      I wonder what some form of pool would be on a snooker table - could possibly even have a larger 21 ball rack for example.. but retaining the tightness of the pockets would make a very interesting game, I think.

    • @matthewcooke4011
      @matthewcooke4011 Місяць тому +2

      It's a different game though.
      Yes, snooker players should have superb potting skills on a pool table, but a lot of the skill here is shot selection and planning how to clear up (knowing that your opponent will probably clear up if you miss). Snooker players [playing snooker] will generally only be thinking a few shots ahead and don't have to prioritise clearing the entire table in order to win the frame. It's a different mindset and skill set.
      So, yes, a good snooker player will generally do well at pool, but at the very highest level the experienced pool players have an advantage.
      As evidenced by this video, snookers players still have to ability to learn how to be great at pool though.

    Interesting to see at this level they rarely hit the ball hard apart from the break. I remember at uni often whacking it to try to show off!

    Why do all the pros play backspin on break leaving them vulnerable to potting white im not great at pool but it used to always happen to me potting white when playing with backspin so i instead play just a tiny bit above the middle and white rarely goes in

  • @Seedy32
    @Seedy32 12 днів тому

    Pockets need to be tighter and the tables need to be bigger. I'm not usually a fan of "moving the goalposts", but in in order to grow spectator interest, it needs to be done. These guys are just too good for the current format. Don't get me wrong, this is still fun to watch and by no means am I hating on the product. Great match-up.

      @@PropmikeLota of little differences. 6ft by 3ft table versus the 9ft american tables, slightly smaller cueball than object balls which affects ball cueball physics, ball in-hand only can be placed behind the baulk line and fouls grand the opponent two shots. That's the gist of it 👍
