There is another hadith: Narrated by Ali bin Abi Talib: “One day Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud climbed a tree and his legs became visible. His legs were very skinny, so the Sahaba started laughing. The Prophet asked:"What are you laughing at?" We said: "We laugh at his skinny legs, O messenger of Allah". The Prophet said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! His legs will be heavier on the Meezaan (on the Day of Judgment) than Mount Uhud.” (Ahmad in Al-Musnad) So this hadith's that version that has "in heavens" also makes sense; as this might be referring to non-terrestial creation such as Ibn Masood's legs being at Uhud size.
I think DH (Muslim Skeptic) said something very profound regarding this objection of the bone structure: "Arguing against this hadith on the basis of bone structure is like arguing against the possibility of al-isra on the basis that the Buraq couldn’t have been aerodynamic enough to make the trip in such a short period of time." But the analogy doesn't seem right. Was adam a supernatural being? Also, you believe all humans came from adam, while buraq was a supernatural being, claimed to be a miracle of your God, and it didn't leave anything lasting that we could investigate, it just came and went. In case of adam, that's not the case. We know what humans are like and we have studied humans for centuries, are you gonna say adam from whom all humans of today came was in some way very very different from all of the humans we know and find evidence of, I mean sure it could be but 1- Science doesn't support that he could have been of this size. It would not be scientifically possible. Again if you are gonna compare to buraq example, adam wasnt some supernatural being he supposed to be our ancestor. 2- Science says humans i.e. Homo sapiens (I mean we do know homo sapiens are the only intelligent species, so it's safe to assume adam was one of them too) came on earth about 300,000 years ago and it couldn't have been just one homo sapien it wouldn't be possible. 3- There's loads of evidence for evolution. Science just works. Sometimes it doesn't. But at the end, that's what science is about. It's observation of the truth as is and not some kinda result. Science doesn't always have to be right because that's not the point of science but it indeed always does have the last laugh. It's okay for you not to see it scientifically and then you could believe anything you want to, that's not a problem, as long as you know it's just something you believe in and could have been not the case and are open-minded about it. And it would also be wrong as we know that Adam as. is the father of all humans. And humans have been around for i THINK ( not completely sure) at least 1 million year. So if Adam was the first human being sience would not have 1 shred of evidence to how he looked. The earliest human remains that have been found are not even close to the time of the first man. Human remains dont survive that long. the bones start to get broken down to smaller pieces in a couple of centuries. The only reason we even find human remains today is because they have been preserved in pocket of the earth were conditions are right such as tombs etc. Your argument does not hold that well against what history has shown us.
We learnt the predecessor of the moth had a wingspan of 150cm whereas now they're on average are around 10cm. Due to the richer oxygen levels back then, organism could afford to be larger, hence the reason why the predecessors of all current species were massive: reptilian or bird. Why can't a human also fit this correlation? What we are to lizards, why couldn't Adam be to dinosaurs? First pondered this during my evolution module in AS level biology 2012/13.

Says that Allah swt created Adam as in his image with His lenght of sixty cubits. Hence saying that Allah swt has a length audhubillah. It actually makes sense that the first human being would have been this big, and lived for aprox. a thousand years. If you're the only human on earth, you need huge strength and a long life to make an impact on your surroundings. As humanity increased in number, they decreased in size and longevity.
Not only that, he was given all the secular knowledge! The evolutionists say we were Hunter gatherers... nay, our father Adam AS knew how to farm the land and make medicine from plants etc. He is the source of these various branches of knowledge that Allah SWT granted him.
So here's something interesting in argument for the height of Adam AS being so large in this world. That in the prehistoric era, such as the time of the dinosaurs most things were supersized due to the abundance of oxygen (there also other theories of why they downsized) being able to support those giants. Just look at any prehistoric fauna like the josephoartigasia monesi. Or the famous giant ground sloth. Regardless of why it is well known that many animals have become dramatically smaller over time. Why could this not have happened to humans? please note I am not saying anything definitive as all knowledge belongs to Allah alone and I only affirm what has been told to us, without adding my own extrapolation as a valid part of the message, any interpretation is just that and is not scriptural. This is just a fun theory I've had rattling around in my brain and is not a definitive explanation of the hadeeths regarding the size of Adam AS. But a scientist would probably be able to tell me more about whether this theory holds any weight or not.
السلام عليكم I love the Ahadith mentioning Adam alayhi Salaam was a giant . I believe it. I believed in giants before I converted to Islam and with Islam I am certain about giants. I have done a ton of deen research on this subject and related research in other fields. I found examples like the elephant he mentioned and other interesting info. point at the existence of giants. Were there fruits, vegetables and edible animals also of a giant size? Or was it necessary to eat many of our normal size fruits, whole trees etc for one meal?
the hadith that says adam is 60 cubits may just be his height in heaven, this is supported in the same hadith that says after Prophet muhammad said that he followed up by saying that All humans is going to be 60 cubits when they enter heaven

It's likely Adam existed hundreds of thousands of years, given that Noah must have exited more than 50,000 years at the very least. The reason Noah must have existed that long is that all human beings today are descended from Noah including the native Americans. The Native Americans crossed from Asia to the Americas at least 30,000 years ago. So for humanity to go from Noah and his 3 sons and a few dozen human beings to a point where there are so many human beings that they forage in clusters across the world presumably searching for new resources including to the Americas must take at least tens of thousands of years. In fact, 50,000 years would be a severely conservative estimate for Noah and so Adam existing hundreds of thousands of years ago would have been long enough to produce adaptations in the average height of the human..

Adam cannot be 27 meters or 30 meters tall because of the square-cube law. The square-cube law is a mathematical principle which states that for every proportional increase in the size of an object, the ratio of the final volume to the initial volume is always greater than the ratio of the final surface area to the initial surface area [1] . The formula: A2=A1(L2÷L1)² A1 = Initial surface area. A2 = Final surface area. L2 = Height / length after enlargement. L1 = Height / length before enlargement. V2=V1(L2÷L1)³ V1 = Initial volume. V2 = Final volume. For example, there is a cube that has a surface area of 10 square meters and a volume of 5 cubic meters. If the dimensions are multiplied by two, the surface area becomes 40 square meters and the volume becomes 40 cubic meters. The ratio of surface area to volume which was 2:1 becomes 1:1 after enlargement. This shows that volume grows faster than surface area. If this law is applied to the human body, there will be disproportionality if we enlarge the human body tens of times as happened to Adam's body which is said to have a height of 30 meters. This would make Adam's body volume so large that his surface area (including the cross-sectional area of his bones) would not be able to support his own body volume. I think it's because they claim as something becomes taller, its volume increases at a much higher rate than the rate of try increase of height of you know what I mean
The largest Dinosaurs where around 100 tons, and they were supported with a bone structure. So It is very possible for bones to support the weight of a 27 meter human.
One thing I have a problem with is how you counter argued the biological argument. Because yes it is possible for a human to be bigger and taller but there needs to be certain requirements if they are to follow the laws of physics. Either the gravity has to be a lot less, and that is a lot. Or the human body has to be shaped completely differently that it is unrecognisable from today's humans, and can even be seen as a different species in that case.
It could just be an inner biological difference like the size of the heart and you should take into account that ten density may have been less Allah knows best
"Can be seen as a different species" is a matter of classification. The way Allah classifies us is very different from the way the academia classifies us. The scientific classification system is subject to constant change. So, yes. Adam may have looked drastically different from us. But in essence (as defined by Allah with knowledge that is preserved with him) he was a human.
I have a little problem with using the "99.9% of species are not fossilized" arguement because this hypothesis is usually used to explain the millions of missing links required by evolution but missing from the fossil record...on the other hand out of the species living today we have very good 70-80% fossil representation including some very ancient samples as stated by several books discussing the fossiil evidence which contradicts this hypothesis further
Consider 3 things: (1) Adam was one single person. There weren't millions of him, which would have made finding his fossil easier millions of years later (2) Would Allah allow his bones to be dug up? I think its safe to assume the answer is no, so its absence cannot be taken as a proof of normal non-existence (3) Maybe he did indeed not come down to earth at that height. Lastly, I am not a paleontologist, but have seen some university lectures on the topic. Notably they stress how little fossil record we have of things. Watch WIlliam Kimbel's (University of Arizona) talk on Origins of Homo where he says that we can fit the TOTAL current fossil record of earliest known homo in a shoe box.

It is only that Adam (AS) was created directly by Allah (SWT). 3. There are variations of the Hadith that mention the words "في السماء" or "in the heaven/sky above" which means that it could be the case that Adam (AS) was 27 meters in heaven and not necessarily on earth. There is no evidence detailing whether or not his size has changed in the transition to earth. 5. Someone could bring up the point that there is no fossil record of such a large human. Well the National Science Foundation says that 99.9% of species have not undergone fossilization. 6. Another point that could be brought up is that how did humans of the same species undergo such a drastic change in size and stature. Well according to the Proceedings National Academy of Science, the dwarf elephants were 100kg. But, at some point, they were a hundred times larger than that, yet they went through a reduction in size in a timeline of eight hundred thousand years. So there is evidence of such a phenomenon actually happening on a much bigger scale than what the Hadith is claiming.
We know that the things in paradise are significantly bigger than those on earth, e.g a single grape from paradise is big enough for a whole family on earth as far as I can remember from a hadith. Now if Adam's height was 60 cubits as per hadith, then this would be the height when he lived in paradise. Why do we assume that he had this height when he was sent to earth? Please clarify this to me.
Because the hadith says people have kept growing smaller until now. Which means that over time Adams descendants kept getting smaller from 60cuits until today's heights. So we can assume that his sons and grandsons were of similar height. So this is an earthly process.

Yes the way in which insects absorb oxygen from the atmosphere disallows them to grow more than a few inches. However, back then the atmosphere was much more oxygen rich allowing the oxygen to diffuse into their respiratory systems at a much faster rate, in turn allowing them to get bigger in size.
Even if we accept the evolutionary perspective, we would see that MANY animals used to be much bigger in size than they are today, for example: Large Ape Spike tooth salmon Megalodon Giant sloth All much larger types of mordern species, which decreased in size. They used to be bigger due to higher oxygen level and lighter bones
Sheik Abdurahman Al-Mu'limi (One of the greatest scholars in the 20th century whom Sheik Al-Oujairi himself considers as the Ibn Taimaiya of our time) gave clarification about Adam's height: "أقول : لم يتحقق بحجة قاطعة كم مضى للجنس البشري منذ خلق آدم ؟ وما في التوراة لا يعتمد عليه ، وقد يكون خلق ستين ذراعاً فلما أهبط إلى الأرض نقص من طوله دفعة واحدة ليناسب حال الأرض إلا أنه بقي أطول مما عليه الناس الآن بقليل ثم لم يزل ذلك القليل يتناقص في الجملة . والله أعلم ." What the Sheik said is possible and that can be inferred from the Quran when Allah enumerates His bounties and blessings upon man amongst which the ability to ride and consume animals and to make ships to reach far-out lands, therefore, being so huge it seems to render those blessings insufficient when it comes to consumption and useless as to riding horses, camels, etc. The points made in the video are all valid and well-argued.

The problem there, or one of them, is that it isn't 27 feet, it's 27 metres - which is nearly 90 feet. That is taller than most tall trees and rivalling some of the largest dinosaurs that ever lived. It is the length of a Blue Whale.

I have to say though that this was not good at all. You should have put a lot more thought into this. You cannot be so casual about a 27 metre tall human. Taller than the tallest dinosaur, taller than King Kong, tall as a 60 stories building and as big as the Blue Whale? Could his organs have withstood under the pressure of gravity? How did the heart could pump so much blood? Allah SWT simply made him (as) materialize out of thin air or did he descend from the clouds? What did he eat besides meat? Where did he get his fruits and vegetables from? I am not saying it's not true but you should show respect to people who are skeptical of such a claim ( Muslims and Non-muslims) and leave the door open on the possibility that Adam (as) never walked on this Earth as a 27 metres tall human. @Aziz Rahman Salam aleykoum. This is not a point of Aqeedah otherwise I would not have brought up these questions. I am not saying the Hadith is faulty but it being labeled sahih is the only legitimate argument this idea has at the moment because the defense from brother Hijab was not convincing at all. I believe in miracles but this does not qualify as a miracle. I also would not like for us to become like Christians and Jews where we have beliefs that contradict logic and physical reality like the Earth being only 6000 years old or plants having been created after humans. 27 metre humans is awfully close to those. Also there are fossil founds of giants. They are not accepted by the public, but we have to say that there are people saying that they dug out such fossils, photos and maybe videos of giant skeletons. Adam (peace be upon him) was this tall as mentioned in the hadith.
So Adam came down to earth 27 metres tall with a completely different anatomical structure to humans of today (so not a human at all then) and then his predecessors presumably shrunk down to a more manageable size via evolution through natural selection

At this point he is working on the possibility to interpret that the hadith of the size of Adam (as) may also well point to his actual height when he descendend on earth (after acknwledging that there is another interpretation that understands that to be the height n Heaven, not in Earth), and he goes on to contest the counter-argument to this, a counter-argumnt that mentions the physical implausibility of a 60 cubit human body (due to basic square/cube law). He says on this regard: "you are using as reference today's human anatomy projecting it onto the time of Adam's descent" (!!) and, he continues, that has no basis. If we understand Adam's height of 60 cubits to be that on Paradise, of course there is no physical problem. But if he wants to defend the other interpretation (real size on earth), we have two options: (i) either it was a miraculous height in his body (notice that it would be a miracle ocurring probably for over 1,000 thousand years or so, as it was the lifespan of Adam -as- on earth), but that miracle is not mentioned anywhere as the miracle given to him to prove his Messengership, nor he was sent to kuffar yet (which is the context where miracles arise); or (ii) that Adam's body was compatible with biological constratints but then it was just ... PRETTY MUCH DIFFERENT to today's (and not just today's) human size, human form (since thousands and thousands of years ago in fact). How so? That his body had to be a form compatible to that which makes a 60 cubit organism viable vis a vis the square/cube law, blood pressure, etc. Is Adam (as) not our ancestor? Of course he is. Did he had a different form of body, so diferent to our (NOT JUST IN SIZE) so as to make his body viable like those gigantic animals of the past, dinosaurs and the like? How so? Not any basis at all for that, and frankly if someone said to us that we descend, for the sake of showing an argument, from a, let's say, four-legged and or three/hearts body and or a non erectede body ... or put whatever it takes, THAT is not what revelation teaches us at all.
Fourth argument is physics. Height is linear dimension. Volume and weight should reduce by cube of the ration of a linear dimension. Aspect ratio remaining same, the weight and volume of 27 meter (100 ft) is 5600 times. Not the 100 times example of dwarf elephants. So a 560 ton human being!!!. Weight of largest dinosaur estimated at 65 ton and tallest dino 18 meters. But most height is the long neck.
I would suggest you to check the banned book "Forbidden Archeology: a Hidden History of Human" by Michael Cremo. Michael Cremo's video's are also available. Fossil records are there but Smithsonian is having most of them in their "forced collection" and doesn't reveal the information since it will nullify the evolution theory.
I would rather use the word 'ignored' rather than 'forbidden'. There are two versions of the book, abridged and unabridged and I would recommend the unabridged version. Some of the evidence is subtle but nonetheless convincing. In short the book points to evidence that man was around far earlier than is generally accepted and critically would contradict the Darwinian timeline. The one thing I would point out is that Michael Cremo is a Hindu and so whilst there is nothing problematic in employing arguments from Forbidden Archeology in principle it should be borne in mind that Michael Cremo's 'other book', Human Devolution: A Vedic Alternative to Darwin's Theory, is more explicitly tied to his theological views. Some may try to argue that the first book is a confirmation bias of this and so to do justice to yourself and any debate it is important to read Forbidden Archeology with that in mind so that you can appreciate any provided arguments on their own merits and not necessarily tied to a vedic theological argument.
Dinosaurs evolved though (the smaller ones, the big ones were actually mostly wiped out), the entire point being made is that we didn't. Moreover, Birds and dinosaurs have wildly different anatomy. Your argument would make sense only if you are willing to accept that the difference between us and Adam (AS) is the same as the difference between a bird and a dinosaur. ANOTHER point is that birds can, in fact, be grown a lot taller than an average human and not collapse under their own weight according to the square-cube law.
Humans are also completely endothermic and therefore have metabolic needs that limit our height potential. Compared to a blue whale which is able to consume tons and tons of food to support its metabolic needs.

God manifested in Christ to give us back the divine life mankind lost in the fall of Adam. Christ, the exact image of the invisible God. The image we were created after in Gen 1. The image we lost in the fall of man. The image that can be freely restored by Christ's blood and Holy Spirit working IN us. What a plan. What a solution. What a love. What a God. Jesus is amazing. It is the ultimate conclusion of the word and plan of God. God came full circle. He Himself stooped down from glory to restore us back to original created value: Christlikeness. Well, we know that there were many different types of Human Species before the Homo sapiens (that is us). I've always been under the impression that Adam A.S and Hawa A.S were simply different types of Human Species. Overtime, the humans mixed with each other and evolved. That's probably how the height difference occurred.
Can you go into detail about possibility that Adam (3s) was created on earth in a place with abundance (jannaat) on higher elevation (mountains) and then sent down to start human history in harsher places. In essence that nothing of this happened in paradise (since how could satan come there, how come Adam was created from earthly matter etc etc)
The Quran clearly states that Adam pbuh was in Jannah and lived there with his wife and Jannah is a completely different place to earth. Also the shaitan was a djinn who was increased in status and honoured by Allah to be allowed in Jannah before Adam pbuh was created. Jannah is not earth.

There is another hadith:
Narrated by Ali bin Abi Talib:
“One day Abdullah Ibn Mas'ud climbed a tree and his legs became visible. His legs were very skinny, so the Sahaba started laughing. The Prophet asked:"What are you laughing at?" We said: "We laugh at his skinny legs, O messenger of Allah". The Prophet said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! His legs will be heavier on the Meezaan (on the Day of Judgment) than Mount Uhud.”

So this hadith's that version that has "in heavens" also makes sense; as this might be referring to non-terrestial creation such as Ibn Masood's legs being at Uhud size.

We learnt the predecessor of the moth had a wingspan of 150cm whereas now they're on average are around 10cm. So here's something interesting in argument for the height of Adam AS being so large in this world. That in the prehistoric era, such as the time of the dinosaurs most things were supersized due to the abundance of oxygen (there also other theories of why they downsized) being able to support those giants. Just look at any prehistoric fauna like the josephoartigasia monesi. Or the famous giant ground sloth. Regardless of why it is well known that many animals have become dramatically smaller over time. Why could this not have happened to humans?
please note I am not saying anything definitive as all knowledge belongs to Allah alone and I only affirm what has been told to us, without adding my own extrapolation as a valid part of the message, any interpretation is just that and is not scriptural. This is just a fun theory I've had rattling around in my brain and is not a definitive explanation of the hadeeths regarding the size of Adam AS.
But a scientist would probably be able to tell me more about whether this theory holds any weight or not.

I love the Ahadith mentioning Adam alayhi Salaam was a giant . I believe it. I believed in giants before I converted to Islam and with Islam I am certain about giants. I have done a ton of deen research on this subject and related research in other fields. I found examples like the elephant he mentioned and other interesting info. point at the existence of giants. It's likely Adam existed hundreds of thousands of years, given that Noah must have exited more than 50,000 years at the very least. The reason Noah must have existed that long is that all human beings today are descended from Noah including the native Americans. The Native Americans crossed from Asia to the Americas at least 30,000 years ago. So for humanity to go from Noah and his 3 sons and a few dozen human beings to a point where there are so many human beings that they forage in clusters across the world presumably searching for new resources including to the Americas must take at least tens of thousands of years. In fact, 50,000 years would be a severely conservative estimate for Noah and so Adam existing hundreds of thousands of years ago would have been long enough to produce adaptations in the average height of the human..

The square-cube law is a mathematical principle which states that for every proportional increase in the size of an object, the ratio of the final volume to the initial volume is always greater than the ratio of the final surface area to the initial surface area

A2 = Final surface area.
L2 = Height / length after enlargement.
L1 = Height / length before enlargement.
V2=V1(L2÷L1)³
V1 = Initial volume.

For example, there is a cube that has a surface area of 10 square meters and a volume of 5 cubic meters. If the dimensions are multiplied by two, the surface area becomes 40 square meters and the volume becomes 40 cubic meters. The ratio of surface area to volume which was 2:1 becomes 1:1 after enlargement. This shows that volume grows faster than surface area.
If this law is applied to the human body, there will be disproportionality if we enlarge the human body tens of times as happened to Adam's body which is said to have a height of 30 meters. This would make Adam's body volume so large that his surface area (including the cross-sectional area of his bones) would not be able to support his own body volume.

One thing I have a problem with is how you counter argued the biological argument. Because yes it is possible for a human to be bigger and taller but there needs to be certain requirements if they are to follow the laws of physics. Either the gravity has to be a lot less, and that is a lot. Or the human body has to be shaped completely differently that it is unrecognisable from today's humans, and can even be seen as a different species in that case.
It could just be an inner biological difference like the size of the heart and you should take into account that ten density may have been less Allah knows best

The way Allah classifies us is very different from the way the academia classifies us. The scientific classification system is subject to constant change.
So, yes. Adam may have looked drastically different from us. But in essence (as defined by Allah with knowledge that is preserved with him) he was a human.
I have a little problem with using the "99.9% of species are not fossilized" arguement because this hypothesis is usually used to explain the millions of missing links required by evolution but missing from the fossil record...on the other hand out of the species living today we have very good 70-80% fossil representation including some very ancient samples as stated by several books discussing the fossiil evidence which contradicts this hypothesis further
Consider 3 things: (1) Adam was one single person. There weren't millions of him, which would have made finding his fossil easier millions of years later (2) Would Allah allow his bones to be dug up? I think its safe to assume the answer is no, so its absence cannot be taken as a proof of normal non-existence (3) Maybe he did indeed not come down to earth at that height.
Lastly, I am not a paleontologist, but have seen some university lectures on the topic. Notably they stress how little fossil record we have of things. Watch WIlliam Kimbel's (University of Arizona) talk on Origins of Homo where he says that we can fit the TOTAL current fossil record of earliest known homo in a shoe box.

1. There is a Hadith that mentions Adam (AS) as being 60 cubits tall, or 27 meters.
2. Muslims shouldn't have an issue with animal evolution necessarily. It is only that Adam (AS) was created directly by Allah (SWT).
3. Adam (AS)'s height may seem unscientific on the following grounds:
A) Biological
B) Archeological/Paleontological
C) Disparity in size between Adam (AS)'s height, 27 meters, and the contemporary human's height, around 1.8 meters.
4. There are variations of the Hadith that mention the words "في السماء" or "in the heaven/sky above" which means that it could be the case that Adam (AS) was 27 meters in heaven and not necessarily on earth. There is no evidence detailing whether or not his size has changed in the transition to earth.
5. Someone could bring up the point that there is no fossil record of such a large human. Well the National Science Foundation says that 99.9% of species have not undergone fossilization.
6. Another point that could be brought up is that how did humans of the same species undergo such a drastic change in size and stature. Well according to the Proceedings National Academy of Science, the dwarf elephants were 100kg. But, at some point, they were a hundred times larger than that, yet they went through a reduction in size in a timeline of eight hundred thousand years. So there is evidence of such a phenomenon actually happening on a much bigger scale than what the Hadith is claiming.
We know that the things in paradise are significantly bigger than those on earth, e.g a single grape from paradise is big enough for a whole family on earth as far as I can remember from a hadith.
Now if Adam's height was 60 cubits as per hadith, then this would be the height when he lived in paradise. Why do we assume that he had this height when he was sent to earth? Please clarify this to me.
Because the hadith says people have kept growing smaller until now. Which means that over time Adams descendants kept getting smaller from 60cuits until today's heights. So we can assume that his sons and grandsons were of similar height. So this is an earthly process.

Yes the way in which insects absorb oxygen from the atmosphere disallows them to grow more than a few inches. However, back then the atmosphere was much more oxygen rich allowing the oxygen to diffuse into their respiratory systems at a much faster rate, in turn allowing them to get bigger in size.

The problem there, or one of them, is that it isn't 27 feet, it's 27 metres - which is nearly 90 feet. That is taller than most tall trees and rivalling some of the largest dinosaurs that ever lived. It is the length of a Blue Whale.

I have to say though that this was not good at all. You should have put a lot more thought into this. You cannot be so casual about a 27 metre tall human. Taller than the tallest dinosaur, taller than King Kong, tall as a 60 stories building and as big as the Blue Whale? Could his organs have withstood under the pressure of gravity? How did the heart could pump so much blood? Allah SWT simply made him (as) materialize out of thin air or did he descend from the clouds? What did he eat besides meat? Where did he get his fruits and vegetables from? I am not saying the Hadith is faulty but it being labeled sahih is the only legitimate argument this idea has at the moment because the defense from brother Hijab was not convincing at all. I believe in miracles but this does not qualify as a miracle. I also would not like for us to become like Christians and Jews where we have beliefs that contradict logic and physical reality like the Earth being only 6000 years old or plants having been created after humans. 27 metre humans is awfully close to those. Also there are fossil founds of giants. They are not accepted by the public, but we have to say that there are people saying that they dug out such fossils, photos and maybe videos of giant skeletons. Adam (peace be upon him) was this tall as mentioned in the hadith.

So Adam came down to earth 27 metres tall with a completely different anatomical structure to humans of today (so not a human at all then) and then his predecessors presumably shrunk down to a more manageable size via evolution through natural selection

At this point he is working on the possibility to interpret that the hadith of the size of Adam (as) may also well point to his actual height when he descendend on earth (after acknwledging that there is another interpretation that understands that to be the height n Heaven, not in Earth), and he goes on to contest the counter-argument to this, a counter-argumnt that mentions the physical implausibility of a 60 cubit human body (due to basic square/cube law). He says on this regard: "you are using as reference today's human anatomy projecting it onto the time of Adam's descent" (!!) and, he continues, that has no basis.
If we understand Adam's height of 60 cubits to be that on Paradise, of course there is no physical problem. But if he wants to defend the other interpretation (real size on earth), we have two options: (i) either it was a miraculous height in his body (notice that it would be a miracle ocurring probably for over 1,000 thousand years or so, as it was the lifespan of Adam -as- on earth), but that miracle is not mentioned anywhere as the miracle given to him to prove his Messengership, nor he was sent to kuffar yet (which is the context where miracles arise); or (ii) that Adam's body was compatible with biological constratints but then it was just ... PRETTY MUCH DIFFERENT to today's (and not just today's) human size, human form (since thousands and thousands of years ago in fact).
How so? That his body had to be a form compatible to that which makes a 60 cubit organism viable vis a vis the square/cube law, blood pressure, etc. Is Adam (as) not our ancestor? Of course he is. Did he had a different form of body, so diferent to our (NOT JUST IN SIZE) so as to make his body viable like those gigantic animals of the past, dinosaurs and the like? How so? Not any basis at all for that, and frankly if someone said to us that we descend, for the sake of showing an argument, from a, let's say, four-legged and or three/hearts body and or a non erectede body ... or put whatever it takes, THAT is not what revelation teaches us at all.
Fourth argument is physics. Height is linear dimension. Volume and weight should reduce by cube of the ration of a linear dimension. Aspect ratio remaining same, the weight and volume of 27 meter (100 ft) is 5600 times. Not the 100 times example of dwarf elephants. So a 560 ton human being!!!. Weight of largest dinosaur estimated at 65 ton and tallest dino 18 meters. But most height is the long neck.
I would suggest you to check the banned book "Forbidden Archeology: a Hidden History of Human" by Michael Cremo. Michael Cremo's video's are also available. Fossil records are there but Smithsonian is having most of them in their "forced collection" and doesn't reveal the information since it will nullify the evolution theory.
I would rather use the word 'ignored' rather than 'forbidden'. There are two versions of the book, abridged and unabridged and I would recommend the unabridged version. Some of the evidence is subtle but nonetheless convincing. In short the book points to evidence that man was around far earlier than is generally accepted and critically would contradict the Darwinian timeline.
The one thing I would point out is that Michael Cremo is a Hindu and so whilst there is nothing problematic in employing arguments from Forbidden Archeology in principle it should be borne in mind that Michael Cremo's 'other book', Human Devolution: A Vedic Alternative to Darwin's Theory, is more explicitly tied to his theological views. Some may try to argue that the first book is a confirmation bias of this and so to do justice to yourself and any debate it is important to read Forbidden Archeology with that in mind so that you can appreciate any provided arguments on their own merits and not necessarily tied to a vedic theological argument.

Your argument would make sense only if you are willing to accept that the difference between us and Adam (AS) is the same as the difference between a bird and a dinosaur.

Well, we know that there were many different types of Human Species before the Homo sapiens (that is us). I've always been under the impression that Adam A.S and Hawa A.S were simply different types of Human Species. Overtime, the humans mixed with each other and evolved. That's probably how the height difference occurred.

Can you go into detail about possibility that Adam (3s) was created on earth in a place with abundance (jannaat) on higher elevation (mountains) and then sent down to start human history in harsher places. The Quran clearly states that Adam pbuh was in Jannah and lived there with his wife and Jannah is a completely different place to earth. Also the shaitan was a djinn who was increased in status and honoured by Allah to be allowed in Jannah before Adam pbuh was created. Jannah is not earth.
