I don't understand why a muslim should doubt Darwin's Law? It doesn't explicitly state that God does not exist, Darwin himself was a Christian. Sadly, it is quite a deceitful video. It attempts and fails to claim that Darwin's Law of Evolution by Natural Selection is just one explanation of the diversity of life on this planet. Darwin's Law of Evolution is the ONLY explanation we have of the appearance of millions of species on our planet. It has been proved over and over again, Darwin himself wrote a book full of giving hundreds of examples of evolution. Using DNA analysis we have thousands more examples of evolution by natural selection. Why does this man make these deceitful claims? Firstly, many of his claims are plain wrong, for example the examples of homology are silly. For example the eye has evolved independently many times, again this has been shown scientifically to be true. His other clams can be rubbished equally quickly. I believe Smile 2 Jannah misguidingly believes that Darwin's Law is a threat to believing the revelation of the Quran. But Allah revealed to us 'Truth stands out clear from Error', and Darwin's Law is true. So to try and mislead and lie to people is to work against the teachings of the Quran. There is no other explanation that doesn't include it, Punctuated Equilibrium, of speeded evolution as mentioned in the video is a 'version' of version natural selection that doesn't negate any of Darwin's ideas but just incorporates them into a newer formulation. It has never been formally proved. It is a hypothesis. When a theory has been confirmed by observation, it transitions into becoming a *LAW* . Hence Newtons original theory of gravity when tested and proved innumerable times, became the Law of Gravity. The same is true for the theory of Evolution, it has been proved true innumerable times and is now considered by practically all scientists as a Law of Evolution by Natural Selection. Science is based on induction. It can never be certain. Never, this is a major problem that is inbuilt to it. Thats why we have paradigm shifts. Islam is proven using deduction and we have our evidences for it which we find convincing. Deduction is a stronger form of evidence than induction. It proves absolute truths. Hence anything proven by it is more true than science. it is rational to us to choose the latter over the former. Thats our reasoning which i think is pretty solid.

Science does not lead to certainty, yet it is the best tool to approach it. Darwin's views on evolution are not indisputable, that is true, but the biologists' explaination outside of any supernatural intrusion into the natural world works better than every single other alternative. The visual example shown to demonstrate how homoplasy could disprove the tree of life is extremely misleading. Researchers don't merely focus on one single element of the body, such as an arm, to claim an ancestry. In the case of our own ancestry, in regards to the common ancestor we share with chimps, for example, there are opposite thumbs, fingerprints, the same numbe of fingers, the lack of tail, rounded ears, the nose, partial bipedy among many other physical similarities we share with our chimp cousins. Then, there are behavioral similarities, including the ability to laugh, communicate an extremely varied range of expression with the face, superior solving problem capabilities compared to other terrestrial mammals, etc. Now, keep in mind some of these traits can be found among other animals, but nowhere near as much. The second step is to look at the dna. Given a certain amount of genetic mutuations per generation (175 for humans, if I remember correctly), you can go back in time and see when the chimp line and the human line diverged, millions of years ago. In this case, given our DNA is very close (98.8% similarity), the divergeance is rather close to us. If this hypothesis was false, we would never have been able to find transitional forms between chimp-like ancestors and us, yet we did. Australopithecus, Homo habilis, homo erectus and homo heidelbergensis all share common traits (in varying proportions) to both a chimp-like ancestor and us. Given this data, it is blatant misinformation to say the fossil record does not point towards very gradual change. Of course, you will never find a complete fossil record. This would mean every single generation would have been preserved, and that is absurd. But you have many transitional forms, and this for a humongus amount of animals, not just for humans (the transition from fish-like to amphibian-like is particularly well documented. The skeletal structure really shows a very smooth, progressive seperation from the first to the latter). Altruism really isn't an issue to naturalists. The selfish species have much more trouble adaptating to a hostile environment than collaborative species. Even most non eusocial species show a form of altruism towards their offsprings, because that is how genes pass on. Altruism towards other animals, objects and even concepts is also explainable through the selfish need of psychological well-being, which is itself a necessary trait of natural selection. Though, I do appreciate the conclusion stating the theory of evolution by natural selection is the main scientific theory right now. That's an intellectually honest take. However, a creator hardly fits in it given the great perfectability of how life behaves : just as if it eliminated some of its characteristics and developed others only due to the pressure of natural selection. But as long as the subject barely survives, the errors it contains remain and very rarely comes up with new incredible features.

Here is a Muslim showing that he doesn't understand evolution. claiming that there are two type of evolution proves that he doesn't know what he is talking about. Biological change over time is evolution. When this change causes some bacteria become more resistance to medicine and therefore that bacteria keeps living while other bacteria dies, that is natural selection. Of course he fails to understand that's natural selection. And of course when one type of bacteria lives in two different places isolated by distance or some other kind of barrier, those groups will evolve in two different directions, that's what we call the tree of life. Its really sad that he agrees with the very concepts that he is claiming are wrong because he has so little knowledge about this subject.

When you actually make the effort to go to a museum to see the bones and skulls of our ancestors, paranthropus robustus (>2.6 million old), homo erectus (>2 million years old), homo habilis (>1.65 million years old), homo floresiensis (50,000 years old), you would see with your own eyes how we homo sapiens evolved. Genetic analyses confirms our ancestry with all living creatures starting from single celled animals called eukaryotes. There is so much truth and beauty in these explanations, backed up with solid evidence. As a muslim I thank my God for revealing these truths through brilliants minds of before and now. This knowledge solidifies my faith in God and does not dissolve it one iota. As a Muslim, I necessarily reject the Common Ancestry between 'Specifically Humans' and other Animals. I am agnostic about other portions of the Broader Evolution and don't have a belief claim on those stuffs.
There is definitive scientific proof that humans and other primates had a common ancestor. Humans have 46 chromosomes (23 pairs) and Gorillas have 46 (24 pairs). If it true that we had a common ancestor then somehow humans lost a chromosome, or, two of the Gorilla chromosomes joined together making an animal with 23 pairs of chromosomes. We couldn't test this hypothesis previously, but with the advent of genomic sequencing we finally have an answer. It has shown that human chromosome 2 (one of our longest) is actually composed of two separate Gorilla chromosomes, exactly as predicted if both had a common ancestor. The divergence occurred some 16 million years ago when humans became a separate species from Gorillas (48 chromosomes) and Chimpanzees (48 chromosomes). Other sequencing data shows for example that again as predicted chimpanzees and humans share 99% identity in our DNA sequences. The Quran specifically tells us thatDid not Allah tell us that 'Truth stands out clear from Error'. and the holy Quran asks followers to “travel through the land and observe how he began creation” (Chapter 29 Sūrat l-ʿankabūt verse 20-29). I am a Muslim studying ecology and evolution as an undergraduate and I’m having a very hard time reconciling evolution with creationism. I have bore witness to outstanding evidence for both evolution from scientific studies and Islam from the Quran (and life in general), which gives me such a hard time trying to fit creationism (in that Allah (subhanahu wa taala) created us from clay/sand). The amount of scientific evidence behind evolution is unbelievable, more so than is let on from this video. (P.S homoplasy is explained by convergent evolution which is not a problem at all and makes sense with all of the evidence supporting it). Idk what to do 😢

I would say that this video doesn’t tackle evolution properly as Darwin did not have the same gene reading and editing tools that modern science has, yet he was so close to the right answer. Evolution is so much bigger than Darwin and modern evolutionary discoveries and science experience none of the issues explained in this video. This draws me back to my main point as a Muslim, how can I then believe in creationism when outstanding genetic evidence dictates otherwise? And how can I deny creationism when Islam is so perfect? Scientific biology including evolution can explain those «problems» at 3:05. 1. Anonymous charity. According to evolutionary logic people would care mostly about themselves and their kids followed closely by near family, then more distant family, nation, etc. This holds true very well in practice, and since all people are very distantly related it makes sense to evolve compassion for every human, as this will lead to genes somewhat similar to yours spreading. 2. Tax to help the poor. Same as above. There is a conflict where evolution both seeks to help prople live but also make a fit gene pool, that results in us having some, but not extreme compassion for poor people. 3. Animals are very very distantly related, explains a little bit of compassion, but also us putting our selfish needs for food over animals’ needs. It’s also believable that some of the cuteness mechanisms designed for humans might go wrong and kick in for animals, as well as some animals having natural selection to appear cute for humans. 4. People willing to die for values and ideals. Most people aren’t and wouldn’t do it if death was sure. But at the same time social pressure, and mental delusions explain it, plus the possible evolutionary advantage of being willing to sacrifice yourself for your community, would mean that community could thrive and spread more.
The Godless Engineer YT channel has produced a very good analysis of this video. I recommend it. Also, as far as science not offering 100% certainty, that is true. Science *is* human knowledge and human knowledge is always growing. If you want 100% certainty you will not find it in science. But you will not find it in religious books either. The YT channel of Apostate Prophet has shown the many areas in which the Qur'an is *not* a perfect book and consequently cannot offer 100% certainty either. For people who are interested in hearing strong arguments both for and against these ideas, I recommend those 2 channels.
even if evolution was 100% true or undisputable. how is that contradictory to creation? why do people think that Allah creates things like a human would create a clay pot or a house? Allah in the Quran describes how he CREATES us in the womb in many stages a process that is absolutely different from how people seem to think that Allah creates things.

And there is with Him another determined term (for you to be resurrected)” [al-An’aam 6:2] You are using evolution as a term. As described in the video no one denies evolution itself. We see caterpillars evolving into butterflies. Yes evolution does exist. But the evolution THEORY ? There is no proof for it. And it certainly contradicts the creation story. Allah describes in the Quran how he creates mankind in the womb of a mother. As Adam (as) had no mother the creation of the first human being was different from the rest of us. It is easier to surrender to world norms and standards. Praised is the one who can hold on his deen regardless of what the majority believes. I'm not saying that the majority is always wrong. Hell, Scientology has as much proof to it as does Bible or the Qu'ran. I was just so surprised so many scholars have so many things to say about evolution but as a person in the medical field how can I tell them that we use evolution everyday in medicine (like bacteria getting resistance). These people don’t know what they are talking about and speak like they are experts on science! They should just stick to Quran and Sunnah if they do not have time to study science, because if you deny all of evolution you are denying genetic change over time in populations (change in allele frequencies) and this denies our modern reality. They need to distinguish between what is said in Quran about humans and how evolution explains just how (through genetic drift), and it does not mean we know 100% scientifically. But if you deny all of evolution you even deny genetic drift over time.

as a muslim (I don't believe in Darwinian evolution), i must say that the problem of "survival" is not a very sound argument against evolution, because one can say that ethics themselves are an evolutionary advantage, individual animals within a population will sacrifice themselves for the greater good of the community, this trait helped certain species survive better than the ones who were selfish, and thus are now able to propagate their "ethical" genes.
The counterargument is that you are still related to the people you sacrifice for. Let’s say there is a hypothetical where you and your brother are starving , and that there is only enough food for one person. The selfish family would both attempt to eat the food, leading to both of their deaths. The altruistic family would sacrifice themselves for the sake of the other. In this case, the altruistic family survives and the “altruistic gene” is passed on. Even though you may have sacrificed yourself for your brother, the altruistic gene still lives on in your brother who is related to you.
As an ex-Muslim and a person with ijazaat in tafsir, mantiq,usul fiqh and Hadith, you have just made a mishmash of no clear reasons to reject micro and macro evolution and Darwinian gradualism as initially proposed over 160 years ago has been reconsidered as any true theory would allow. @@mlgdigimon you still didn't get it buddy, as per evolution everyone was animals, even homo sapiens, even though few species may be looking for ourselves but as per natural selection it won't stop other animals to attack you. A species of lizard which can change color to green will survive in jungle than a species of lizard which cannot change color, no matter how much those two species protect each other, nature will take its course and lizard which can change its color tends to survive more. Thats why 'tendency to take care' or 'selfishness' is a very bad argument to defend islamic belief from theory of evolution.

We as humans have changed so much over time. Adam (saw) was a literal GIANT and look how the size of humans have changed today. We are puny compared to the first human. I'm not sure what the exact scientific reasoning is behind this but I remember reading it had something to do with oxygen levels changing drastically over time from high to low which affected to size of humans over time. Rejecting evolution in favor of your faith can’t be rational. Because your faith has poor evidence compared to evolution. In science, we don’t believe in anything for which we don’t have empirical evidence and we refrain from absolute certainty. Because absolute certainty closes the mind. You must be open to new ideas and be skeptical at the same time. I think one can believe whatever they want to even if it isn’t true objectively. But if one is after the truth of things, one must be skeptical. Because it’s easy to fool yourself. Plus rejecting evolution just because it isn’t absolutely certain is irrational because most of science works this way. As mentioned in the video, most if not all scientific theories are disprovable, it’s just that the current haven’t been disproven yet .
@Al Mudarabah well , I'm a Twelver Shia Muslim and in our hadith books , the Imams mentioned that Humans existed on this earth 🌎 before Allah created prophet Adam . Those humans got extinct and modern humans are only the descendants of prophet Adam .

This hadith 📕 is narrated by Imam Ja'far Al Sadiq ( Peace be upon him ) , in which he mentions these 7 lineages of humans Source : Biha'r Al Anwar / Volume 8 / Page 374/375 باب 28 * * (ما يكون بعد دخول أهل الجنة الجنة وأهل النار النار) * 1 - الخصال: ابن الوليد، عن الصفار، عن ابن أبي الخطاب، عن محمد بن عبد الله بن هلال، عن العلاء، عن محمد قال: سمعت أبا جعفر عليه السلام يقول: لقد خلق الله عز وجل في الأرض منذ خلقها سبعة عالمين ليس هم من ولد آدم، خلقهم من أديم الأرض فأسكنهم فيها واحدا بعد واحد مع عالمه، ثم خلق الله عز وجل أبا هذا البشر وخلق ذريته منه بحار الأنوار - العلامة المجلسي - ج ٨ - الصفحة ٣٧٤/٣٧٥ In addition, Sunnis and Christians believe Adam's children married from each other , which is not acceptable , while Twelver Imamis believe that God created other people to marry the children of Adam and eve Here is the proof from shia hadith رُوِيَ عَنْ زرارة أنه سُئل الإمام جعفر بن محمد الصادق ( عليه السَّلام ) عن بدء النسل من آدم على نبينا و آله و عليه السلام كيف كان ؟ و عن بدء النسل من ذرية آدم فإن أناسا عندنا يقولون إن الله تعالى أوحى إلى آدم أن يزوج بناته بنيه و إن هذا الخلق كله أصله من الإخوة و الأخوات ؟ فقال أبو عبد الله ( عليه السَّلام ) تعالى الله عن ذلك علواً كبيراً ، يقول من قال هذا بأن الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ خلق صفوة خلقه و أحباءه و أنبياءه و رسله و المؤمنين و المؤمنات و المسلمين و المسلمات من حرام ! و لم يكن له من القدرة ما يخلقهم من حلال و قد أخذ ميثاقهم على الحلال الطهر الطاهر الطيب ! فو الله لقد تبينت أن بعض البهائم تنكرت له أخته فلما نزا عليها و نزل كُشف له عنها ، فلما علِمَ أنها أخته أخرج غرموله ثم قبض عليه بأسنانه حتى قطعه فخر ميتاً ، و آخر تنكرت له أمه ففعل هذا بعينه ، فكيف الإنسان في إنسيته و فضله و علمه . غير أن جيلا من هذا الخلق الذي ترون رغبوا عن علم أهل بيوتات أنبيائهم و أخذوا من حيث لم يؤمروا بأخذه فصاروا إلى ما قد ترون من الضلال ، و الجهل بالعلم كيف كانت الأشياء الماضية من بدء أن خلق الله ما خلق و ما هو كائن أبدا . ثم قال : ويح هؤلاء أين هم عما لم يختلف فيه فقهاء أهل الحجاز و لا فقهاء أهل العراق إن الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ أمر القلم فجرى على اللوح المحفوظ بما هو كائن إلى يوم القيامة قبل خلق آدم بألفي عام و إن كتب الله كلها فيما جرى فيه القلم في كلها تحريم الأخوة مع ما حرم ، و هذا نحن قد نرى منها هذه الكتب الأربعة المشهورة في هذا العالم التوراة و الإنجيل و الزبور و القرآن أنزلها الله من اللوح المحفوظ على رسله صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين منها التوراة على موسى و الزبور على داود و الإنجيل على عيسى و القرآن على محمد ( صلى الله عليه و آله ) و على النبيين ليس فيها تحليل شيء من ذلك حقا . أقول ما أراد من يقول هذا و شبهه إلا تقوية حجج المجوس ، فما لهم قتلهم الله . ثم أنشأ يحدثنا كيف كان بدء النسل من آدم و كيف كان بدء النسل من ذريته . فقال : إن آدم ( عليه السَّلام ) وُلِدَ له سبعون بطناً في كل بطن غلام و جارية إلى أن قُتل هابيل ، فلما قتل قابيلُ هابيلَ جزع آدم على هابيل جزعاً قطعه عن إتيان النساء ، فبقي لا يستطيع أن يغشى حواء خمسمائة عام ، ثم تخلى ما به من الجزع عليه فغشي حواء فوهب الله له شيثاً وحده ليس معه ثاني ، و اسم شيث هبة الله ، و هو أول وصي أوصي إليه من الآدميين في الأرض ، ثم ولد له من بعد شيث يافث ليس معه ثاني . فلما أدركا و أراد الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ أن يبلغ بالنسل ما ترون و أن يكون ما قد جرى به القلم من تحريم ما حرم الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ من الأخوات على الإخوة ، أنزل بعد العصر في يوم الخميس حَوراء من الجنة اسمها بركة ، فأمر الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ آدم أن يزوجها من شيث فزوجها منه ، ثم نزَّل بعد العصر من الغد حَوراء من الجنة اسمها منزلة ، فأمر الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ آدم أن يزوجها من يافث فزوجها منه ، فولد لشيث غلام و ولد ليافث جارية ، فأمر الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ آدم حين أدركا أن يزوج بنت يافث من ابن شيث ففعل ذلك فولد الصفوة من النبيين و المرسلين من نسلهما و معاذ الله أن ذلك على ما قالوا من الإخوة و الأخوات " المصدر بحار الأنوار ( الجامعة لدرر أخبار الأئمة الأطهار ( عليهم السلام ) ) : 11 / 224 ، للعلامة الشيخ محمد باقر المجلسي

People went to the moon thinking Time and space are absolute, and thinking it has to be 100% true because it worked. But then came the einstein theory of relativity and proved newton wrong, now we use einsteins theory in physics. And we learn about it because for now its closer to the truth, but not the absolute truth. Thats why we have to learn about the darwinian theory, even tho we dont believe in it, it is not absolute, but as long as it works in experiments we dont care.

@mahdi sabri theirs a difference the word "theory" means something very different in lay language than it does in Science. A scientific theory is an explanation of some aspect of the natural world that has been substantiated through repeated experiments or testing and has a array of Evidence behind it. But to the average person a theory is just an idea that lives in someone's head, rather than an explanation rooted in experiment and testing.
As Richard Dawkins said, if Adam and Eve were the first humans, then which one of them was white, which black and which Asian? If you don't know who Dawkins is, I recommend that you watch him and read some of his books (only if you want to learn of course, if you want to only believe on no evidence and ignore the natural world, then just keep on reading the Quran/Bible)

Obviously the strongest indication from all above is a brownish colour, which is the colour of Clay that's prophet adam skin is dark. Scientifically the early species of human were dark some are saying humans DNA is showing all modern human beings are related to early human species that live in Africa. In short what they are trying to convince us is we were all originally dark in skin

i'm a muslim, reverted a year ago, and i came to islam for its logic, my heart is still craving to know, i got to prove myself by science that adam as was the first human, and he didn't evolved from apes, but i'm really wondering still why there was human looking apes so long ago, maybe allah created them as to deceive disbelievers and keep them disbelievers (2 ayah in the qur'an confirms that allah has created disbelievers as a test for us) which means that he intentionally keeps them disbelievers, maybe by providing all this science that could make them believe god doesn't exist, but in fact it's the opposite that it proves

Tree of life is inferred from fossil chronology, transitional fossils and phylogeny both anatomical and molecular. It is as matter of fact. There is no dispute about it.

Darwin's Law of Evolution is the ONLY explanation we have of the appearance of millions of species on our planet. It has been proved over and over again, Darwin himself wrote a book full of giving hundreds of examples of evolution. Using DNA analysis we have thousands more examples of evolution by natural selection.
Why does this man make these deceitful claims? Firstly, many of his claims are plain wrong, for example the examples of homology are silly. For example the eye has evolved independently many times, again this has been shown scientifically to be true. His other clams can be rubbished equally quickly.

Science is based on induction. It can never be certain. Never, this is a major problem that is inbuilt to it. Thats why we have paradigm shifts. Islam is proven using deduction and we have our evidences for it which we find convincing. Deduction is a stronger form of evidence than induction. It proves absolute truths. Hence anything proven by it is more true than science. it is rational to us to choose the latter over the former. Thats our reasoning which i think is pretty solid.

Science does not lead to certainty, yet it is the best tool to approach it. Darwin's views on evolution are not indisputable, that is true, but the biologists' explaination outside of any supernatural intrusion into the natural world works better than every single other alternative.
The visual example shown to demonstrate how homoplasy could disprove the tree of life is extremely misleading. Researchers don't merely focus on one single element of the body, such as an arm, to claim an ancestry.
In the case of our own ancestry, in regards to the common ancestor we share with chimps, for example, there are opposite thumbs, fingerprints, the same numbe of fingers, the lack of tail, rounded ears, the nose, partial bipedy among many other physical similarities we share with our chimp cousins. Then, there are behavioral similarities, including the ability to laugh, communicate an extremely varied range of expression with the face, superior solving problem capabilities compared to other terrestrial mammals, etc.
Now, keep in mind some of these traits can be found among other animals, but nowhere near as much.
The second step is to look at the dna. Given a certain amount of genetic mutuations per generation (175 for humans, if I remember correctly), you can go back in time and see when the chimp line and the human line diverged, millions of years ago. In this case, given our DNA is very close (98.8% similarity), the divergeance is rather close to us.
If this hypothesis was false, we would never have been able to find transitional forms between chimp-like ancestors and us, yet we did. Australopithecus, Homo habilis, homo erectus and homo heidelbergensis all share common traits (in varying proportions) to both a chimp-like ancestor and us.
Given this data, it is blatant misinformation to say the fossil record does not point towards very gradual change. Of course, you will never find a complete fossil record. This would mean every single generation would have been preserved, and that is absurd. But you have many transitional forms, and this for a humongus amount of animals, not just for humans (the transition from fish-like to amphibian-like is particularly well documented. The skeletal structure really shows a very smooth, progressive seperation from the first to the latter).
Altruism really isn't an issue to naturalists. The selfish species have much more trouble adaptating to a hostile environment than collaborative species. Even most non eusocial species show a form of altruism towards their offsprings, because that is how genes pass on. Altruism towards other animals, objects and even concepts is also explainable through the selfish need of psychological well-being, which is itself a necessary trait of natural selection.
Though, I do appreciate the conclusion stating the theory of evolution by natural selection is the main scientific theory right now. That's an intellectually honest take. However, a creator hardly fits in it given the great perfectability of how life behaves : just as if it eliminated some of its characteristics and developed others only due to the pressure of natural selection. But as long as the subject barely survives, the errors it contains remain and very rarely comes up with new incredible features.

Biological change over time is evolution. When this change causes some bacteria become more resistance to medicine and therefore that bacteria keeps living while other bacteria dies, that is natural selection. No one actually claimed that science leads to absolute certainly. In contrary: I expressed that is not possible for _any_ method or point of view, including science and religion. So _again_ you are fighting a straw man's argument. All science states is that based on the current understanding some statement has to be considered true until evidence arises for the contrary. _True_ evidence, that is, not just claims. There is definitive scientific proof that humans and other primates had a common ancestor.
Humans have 46 chromosomes (23 pairs) and Gorillas have 46 (24 pairs). If it true that we had a common ancestor then somehow humans lost a chromosome, or, two of the Gorilla chromosomes joined together making an animal with 23 pairs of chromosomes.
We couldn't test this hypothesis previously, but with the advent of genomic sequencing we finally have an answer. It has shown that human chromosome 2 (one of our longest) is actually composed of two separate Gorilla chromosomes, exactly as predicted if both had a common ancestor. The divergence occurred some 16 million years ago when humans became a separate species from Gorillas (48 chromosomes) and Chimpanzees (48 chromosomes).
Other sequencing data shows for example that again as predicted chimpanzees and humans share 99% identity in our DNA sequences.

As for humans we have skeletons from the earliest human/primates called Paranthropus robustus, (several million years old), to Homo Habilis (transitional humans) to Homo erectus (first humans), to Homo neanderthalensis and Homo sapiens (that's you and me). Along the way we've managed to sequence genomes and found that Homo neanderthalensis and Homo sapiens interbred for example.

1. We are NOT composed of clay. Clays contain silicates and human cels have no silicates in them. The human cells does not have the same composition as clay, anyone who tells you so is deranged.
2. Human cells are mostly composed of water, fat, protein and carbohydrates and trace amounts of metals such as iron, phosphate, magnesium and manganese.
3. Evolution is working all the time but at time scales that you cannot comprehend. Human evolution, to the point we have reached - homo sapiens - has taken millions of years. You and I will live on average 75 years therefore we are talking 50,000 lifetimes. Homo sapiens (me and you) evolved from Homo erectus 300,000 years ago or 4,000 lifetimes ago.
4. Earth is 4 billion years old, the first life appeared after 500,000,000 years leaving 3.5 billion years for it to diversify into to what we have presently. Take a few moments to comprehend these time scales.
5. Darwins finches are evolving right now but you'd need many hundreds of your lifetimes to see large changes.

Our organs are organised in the same way, we share the same bones and we even suffer from the same diseases. The fossil evidence shows a clear continuum between us and our primate ancestors.
7. When it comes to experiencing evolution, yes, if you have children you are experiencing evolution before your very eyes.
8. Everything in the Quran cannot be taken literally, some of it is allegorical - i.e. a story within a story. Allegories are used to express large and complex ideas in a simple manner. Now if you were to explain to me exactly how life began, with your understanding being so precise you could start life in a petri dish from clay, I would say you understood completely. However, you (and I) can't do this because it is too complex. Therefore the Quran expresses this hugely complex idea as an allegory of the birth of Adam from clay. Many more people can understand this - you do for example. But I can tell you this honestly I have yet to meet a serious muslim academic who believes this literally, they know it is an allegory.
9. Understanding allegories, stories within stories and deeper meanings of the Quran has been done for centuries, it is called Tawil - even the hadiths say there are deeper meanings to the quran. All sects of Islam, Shia, Sunni and Sufi believe in esoteric and deeper meanings of the Quran.
10. I am a muslim, but not at all bothered with the truth of Darwin's Law, in fact it makes sense of the world i live in, it enriches it. Many other muslims who understand Darwin's Law similarly appreciate the truths and their faith is not at all shaken, in fact their bond with Islam is greater.

I am a Muslim studying ecology and evolution as an undergraduate and I’m having a very hard time reconciling evolution with creationism. I have bore witness to outstanding evidence for both evolution from scientific studies and Islam from the Quran (and life in general), which gives me such a hard time trying to fit creationism (in that Allah (subhanahu wa taala) created us from clay/sand). The amount of scientific evidence behind evolution is unbelievable, more so than is let on from this video. (P.S homoplasy is explained by convergent evolution which is not a problem at all and makes sense with all of the evidence supporting it). Idk what to do 😢

I would say that this video doesn’t tackle evolution properly as Darwin did not have the same gene reading and editing tools that modern science has, yet he was so close to the right answer. Evolution is so much bigger than Darwin and modern evolutionary discoveries and science experience none of the issues explained in this video. This draws me back to my main point as a Muslim, how can I then believe in creationism when outstanding genetic evidence dictates otherwise? And how can I deny creationism when Islam is so perfect? I do not know what to do 😢

This video is a demonstration of ignorance. It looks like it has been made by someone who quite obviously does not really have an understanding of how science works. And who certainly does not have much insight into the topics he is trying to ridicule. Most likely because he has never really studied them. 1. Anonymous charity. According to evolutionary logic people would care mostly about themselves and their kids followed closely by near family, then more distant family, nation, etc.
This holds true very well in practice, and since all people are very distantly related it makes sense to evolve compassion for every human, as this will lead to genes somewhat similar to yours spreading.
2. Tax to help the poor. Same as above. There is a conflict where evolution both seeks to help prople live but also make a fit gene pool, that results in us having some, but not extreme compassion for poor people.
3. Animals are very very distantly related, explains a little bit of compassion, but also us putting our selfish needs for food over animals’ needs. It’s also believable that some of the cuteness mechanisms designed for humans might go wrong and kick in for animals, as well as some animals having natural selection to appear cute for humans.
4. People willing to die for values and ideals. Most people aren’t and wouldn’t do it if death was sure. But at the same time social pressure, and mental delusions explain it, plus the possible evolutionary advantage of being willing to sacrifice yourself for your community, would mean that community could thrive and spread more.

You are using evolution as a term. As described in the video no one denies evolution itself. We see caterpillars evolving into butterflies. Yes evolution does exist. But the evolution THEORY ? There is no proof for it. And it certainly contradicts the creation story. Allah describes in the Quran how he creates mankind in the womb of a mother. As Adam (as) had no mother the creation of the first human being was different from the rest of us. It is easier to surrender to world norms and standards. I was just so surprised so many scholars have so many things to say about evolution but as a person in the medical field how can I tell them that we use evolution everyday in medicine (like bacteria getting resistance). These people don’t know what they are talking about and speak like they are experts on science! They should just stick to Quran and Sunnah if they do not have time to study science, because if you deny all of evolution you are denying genetic change over time in populations (change in allele frequencies) and this denies our modern reality. They need to distinguish between what is said in Quran about humans and how evolution explains just how (through genetic drift), and it does not mean we know 100% scientifically. But if you deny all of evolution you even deny genetic drift over time.

as a muslim (I don't believe in Darwinian evolution), i must say that the problem of "survival" is not a very sound argument against evolution, because one can say that ethics themselves are an evolutionary advantage, individual animals within a population will sacrifice themselves for the greater good of the community, this trait helped certain species survive better than the ones who were selfish, and thus are now able to propagate their "ethical" genes.
That is altruism.
The counterargument is that you are still related to the people you sacrifice for. Let’s say there is a hypothetical where you and your brother are starving , and that there is only enough food for one person. The selfish family would both attempt to eat the food, leading to both of their deaths. The altruistic family would sacrifice themselves for the sake of the other. In this case, the altruistic family survives and the “altruistic gene” is passed on. Even though you may have sacrificed yourself for your brother, the altruistic gene still lives on in your brother who is related to you.
As an ex-Muslim and a person with ijazaat in tafsir, mantiq,usul fiqh and Hadith, you have just made a mishmash of no clear reasons to reject micro and macro evolution and Darwinian gradualism as initially proposed over 160 years ago has been reconsidered as any true theory would allow. You must be open to new ideas and be skeptical at the same time.

However , the *_Twelver Imami Sources_* are the only religious texts 📚 that mentioned the presence of *_7 human lineages that lived on this very Earth_* we live on 🌎 , way before prophet Adam was created.
This hadith 📕 is narrated by Imam Ja'far Al Sadiq ( Peace be upon him ) , in which he mentions these 7 lineages of humans

باب 28 * * (ما يكون بعد دخول أهل الجنة الجنة وأهل النار النار) * 1 - الخصال: ابن الوليد، عن الصفار، عن ابن أبي الخطاب، عن محمد بن عبد الله بن هلال، عن العلاء، عن محمد قال: سمعت أبا جعفر عليه السلام يقول: لقد خلق الله عز وجل في الأرض منذ خلقها سبعة عالمين ليس هم من ولد آدم، خلقهم من أديم الأرض فأسكنهم فيها واحدا بعد واحد مع عالمه، ثم خلق الله عز وجل أبا هذا البشر وخلق ذريته منه

In addition, Sunnis and Christians believe Adam's children married from each other , which is not acceptable , while Twelver Imamis believe that God created other people to marry the children of Adam and eve

رُوِيَ عَنْ زرارة أنه سُئل الإمام جعفر بن محمد الصادق ( عليه السَّلام ) عن بدء النسل من آدم على نبينا و آله و عليه السلام كيف كان ؟ و عن بدء النسل من ذرية آدم فإن أناسا عندنا يقولون إن الله تعالى أوحى إلى آدم أن يزوج بناته بنيه و إن هذا الخلق كله أصله من الإخوة و الأخوات ؟
فقال أبو عبد الله ( عليه السَّلام ) تعالى الله عن ذلك علواً كبيراً ، يقول من قال هذا بأن الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ خلق صفوة خلقه و أحباءه و أنبياءه و رسله و المؤمنين و المؤمنات و المسلمين و المسلمات من حرام ! و لم يكن له من القدرة ما يخلقهم من حلال و قد أخذ ميثاقهم على الحلال الطهر الطاهر الطيب ! فو الله لقد تبينت أن بعض البهائم تنكرت له أخته فلما نزا عليها و نزل كُشف له عنها ، فلما علِمَ أنها أخته أخرج غرموله ثم قبض عليه بأسنانه حتى قطعه فخر ميتاً ، و آخر تنكرت له أمه ففعل هذا بعينه ، فكيف الإنسان في إنسيته و فضله و علمه . غير أن جيلا من هذا الخلق الذي ترون رغبوا عن علم أهل بيوتات أنبيائهم و أخذوا من حيث لم يؤمروا بأخذه فصاروا إلى ما قد ترون من الضلال ، و الجهل بالعلم كيف كانت الأشياء الماضية من بدء أن خلق الله ما خلق و ما هو كائن أبدا . ثم قال : ويح هؤلاء أين هم عما لم يختلف فيه فقهاء أهل الحجاز و لا فقهاء أهل العراق إن الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ أمر القلم فجرى على اللوح المحفوظ بما هو كائن إلى يوم القيامة قبل خلق آدم بألفي عام و إن كتب الله كلها فيما جرى فيه القلم في كلها تحريم الأخوة مع ما حرم ، و هذا نحن قد نرى منها هذه الكتب الأربعة المشهورة في هذا العالم التوراة و الإنجيل و الزبور و القرآن أنزلها الله من اللوح المحفوظ على رسله صلوات الله عليهم أجمعين منها التوراة على موسى و الزبور على داود و الإنجيل على عيسى و القرآن على محمد ( صلى الله عليه و آله ) و على النبيين ليس فيها تحليل شيء من ذلك حقا . أقول ما أراد من يقول هذا و شبهه إلا تقوية حجج المجوس ، فما لهم قتلهم الله . ثم أنشأ يحدثنا كيف كان بدء النسل من آدم و كيف كان بدء النسل من ذريته . فقال : إن آدم ( عليه السَّلام ) وُلِدَ له سبعون بطناً في كل بطن غلام و جارية إلى أن قُتل هابيل ، فلما قتل قابيلُ هابيلَ جزع آدم على هابيل جزعاً قطعه عن إتيان النساء ، فبقي لا يستطيع أن يغشى حواء خمسمائة عام ، ثم تخلى ما به من الجزع عليه فغشي حواء فوهب الله له شيثاً وحده ليس معه ثاني ، و اسم شيث هبة الله ، و هو أول وصي أوصي إليه من الآدميين في الأرض ، ثم ولد له من بعد شيث يافث ليس معه ثاني . فلما أدركا و أراد الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ أن يبلغ بالنسل ما ترون و أن يكون ما قد جرى به القلم من تحريم ما حرم الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ من الأخوات على الإخوة ، أنزل بعد العصر في يوم الخميس حَوراء من الجنة اسمها بركة ، فأمر الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ آدم أن يزوجها من شيث فزوجها منه ، ثم نزَّل بعد العصر من الغد حَوراء من الجنة اسمها منزلة ، فأمر الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ آدم أن يزوجها من يافث فزوجها منه ، فولد لشيث غلام و ولد ليافث جارية ، فأمر الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ آدم حين أدركا أن يزوج بنت يافث من ابن شيث ففعل ذلك فولد الصفوة من النبيين و المرسلين من نسلهما و معاذ الله أن ذلك على ما قالوا من الإخوة و الأخوات "

“Allahuma Anta Rabbi, la ilaha illa Anta, khalaqtani wa ana ‘abduka, wa ana ‘ala ‘ahdika wa wa'dika mastata'tu, a'udhu bika min sharri ma sana'tu, abu'u laka bini'matika ‘alayya, wa abu'u laka bidhanbi faghfir li, fa innahu la yaghfirudh-dhunuba illa Anta.”
(O Allah! You are my Lord. There is no god except You. You have created, I am Your slave, I hold to Your Covenant as far as I can. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge the favours that You have bestowed upon me and I confess my sins. Pardon me, for none but You has the power to pardon).

People went to the moon thinking Time and space are absolute, and thinking it has to be 100% true because it worked. But then came the einstein theory of relativity and proved newton wrong, now we use einsteins theory in physics. And we learn about it because for now its closer to the truth, but not the absolute truth. Thats why we have to learn about the darwinian theory, even tho we dont believe in it, it is not absolute, but as long as it works in experiments we dont care.

A scientific theory is an explanation of some aspect of the natural world that has been substantiated through repeated experiments or testing and has a array of Evidence behind it. But to the average person a theory is just an idea that lives in someone's head, rather than an explanation rooted in experiment and testing.
As Richard Dawkins said, if Adam and Eve were the first humans, then which one of them was white, which black and which Asian? If you don't know who Dawkins is, I recommend that you watch him and read some of his books (only if you want to learn of course, if you want to only believe on no evidence and ignore the natural world, then just keep on reading the Quran/Bible)

Obviously the strongest indication from all above is a brownish colour, which is the colour of Clay that's prophet adam skin is dark.

i'm a muslim, reverted a year ago, and i came to islam for its logic, my heart is still craving to know, i got to prove myself by science that adam as was the first human, and he didn't evolved from apes, but i'm really wondering still why there was human looking apes so long ago, maybe allah created them as to deceive disbelievers and keep them disbelievers (2 ayah in the qur'an confirms that allah has created disbelievers as a test for us) which means that he intentionally keeps them disbelievers, maybe by providing all this science that could make them believe god doesn't exist, but in fact it's the opposite that it proves

If you read the passage literally you would think so. But if you read the passage figuratively then it HANDS in this context simply means the power of Allah.
Do you believe that Adam was the first human being?
Literal reading of the Quran indicates that Adam was the first human, however, reading the relevant passages figuratively we could interpret them to mean that Allah created mankind, elevated in status.
Scientifically, we know it has to be figuratively because humans evolved from primate ancestors. This is an incontestable fact.
So figurative for the first statement, why not figurative for the second?
Allah gives us the authority if we are wise.

Well charity and kindness helps more humans survive. If we weren’t kind doctors wouldnt exist, people would die more, and less people would be made. And in earlier civilizations, being kind and slowing down when somebody cant keep up or sharing prey so everybody can eat means the other person will also slow down when you cant keep up and share prey. And since that other person is probably in your family, your also protecting a close copy of your genes, as well as your genes by being kind. If we were instead indifferent, we would never be able to hunt in packs, kill the mammoth, scare off predators, and even worse if we were evil.
As for animals, I think thats just a symptom of our kindness.
