Some of the cream formulations have OTHER INGREDIENTS that are highly comedogenic. The cream gave me the worst acne of my life, for nearly 5 months. This was NOT purging. I had pimples in places I’ve never had pimples. And they were big, red and angry. I went from 1-2 pimples a month, to 3-4 a week. It was crazy and depressing. As soon as I switched to the gel, my skin immensely calmed down, and my acne basically cleared up within a week. Never had issues again. Long story short, not all tretinoin formulations are created equal. So please check the ingredient list for hidden troublemakers.
I used to use the gel but it was more irritating. The cream works great for my skin. I do not care if I look a bit shiny. I am going to bed 30 minutes application..👍
I have both the gel and the cream. Prefer the cream because it has better slip and doesn't pill. The gel I have pills no matter how much time I give it.
Ive used both . I feel like the cream spreads better and I use less, therefore it lasts longer. It does pill but only if my face is still wet from cleaning.
I LOVE tretinoin! It has entirely cleared my skin and my mental health has improved as a result. I use it before bed, and my combination skin doesn't seem to mind the oiliness, and I just wash it off in the morning. I cannot speak highly enough of tretinoin.
I had the cream. It is not as easily spreadable like the gel is. Even though the cream is greasy looking, it doesn't really matter if you are applying it at night. No one but your family will see it. I prefer the gel because it is spreadable (it contains glycerin), and it dries fast. I have combination skin w/light acne, so gel is perfect for me. People with dry/normal/sensitive skin tend to go for the cream. I have very light peeling in the right-side part of my chin, but nowhere else because I use the sandwich method with Cerave.
Mine is shiny cream and it's also like quick drying glue or something. I end up putting more on than I should because it's so tacky, sticky and fast drying that it doesn't spread well.
@@huwevans9875 the gel version dries sooooo fast, so i cant get a proper layer of it in the whole face… but the cream version doesn’t evaporate so you have much more time to work it into the face!
Didn’t know how much I needed Dr Dray reacting to herself till now 🙌🏼
LOL dr dray bopping to the beat of her own reel 🤣🤣 this is so funny I love it 😂😂

I can be oily at night.I NEVER wear it during day sunscreen or not no way.❤ur channel.
I love the retin-a gel 0.01%, it's sebderm safe unlike the cream and it's super gentle on my sensitive skin.
Switched from gel to cream a month ago and hated it at first but now I appreciate that it doesn't dry out as much.

Cream is superior.
I liked your below body language! 😂
Altreno tretinoin lotion takes the cake! The consistency feels like a serum to me. I love it!💜💛
You replying to your own vids is so fun! I love these!

I find the cream dry feeling and difficult to spread. No shine in sight. I’ve never tried the gel but now I’m intrigued.

We got dr dray reacting to herself before gta 6
I thought I would prefer the gel for my oily skin, but it definitely pilled a lot for me 🤷🏻 I ended up getting used to the texture of the cream
The cream for me! I love it

Haha you are so cool, Doc. 😂❤
What reason you give all your dermatologist to get a tretinoid cream?do they prescribe it for esthetical reasons?
Can a 16,17 year old use tretenoin if they already have a skincare routine?
You don’t have a skincare routine without tret also learn how to spell you’re 16 not 6.
Dr can you talk about the dry eyes people get from tretinoin? can it be avoided? will it happen to everyone who uses tret?
yes would love to know!
The problem with me is the the cream has really bad spreadibilty and it burn my skin when i rub it in my skin .
What are you doing Dr. Dray 😂
I love this haha ❤️❤️
Hi dr.
Can i use tretinoin with clindamycin for skin texture and anti ageing purpose in long run?
Thank you.
I'm currently prescribed both!
In Dr Dray's video, 10 ingredients to use with retinol, she goes over using it with clindamycin.
aw is that a palestinian flag heart? 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 love to see it
When you roll up at club on a Wednesday night 🤣
I feel like this is your meta clapback to the ppl in the comments when they’re like ‘she’s not even adding anything’ 😂💀❤
The cream drys me out 😂
I don't like the cream. I didn't know they had gel.
what percentage of retinol is equivalent to 0.025 tretinoin
No, it doesn’t work like that
Cream whenever i tried gives me full forehead of closed comodones😢
I feel like the cream less irritate than the gel one
I like the greasy look
The cream was perfect for me.
Just changed cream to gel to try it out.
Now hear me out: they need to make a gream or crel version. 1:1 of both.
Cream broke me out, gel doesn’t…
What in the metaverse do we have here?
lol she’s funny
Can you talk a little about tretinoin taken through oral medication?
the gel version is so hard to apply all over the face
No it isn't, it's much easier. Do it daily never had an issue. Cream on the other hand hard to get it to full coverage on the face.

@@huwevans9875 Whats your method?
