'14 qx80 somtimes my rpm jumps only at speed between 20..40 mile per hr. (Below 60km/hr.) Flushed fluid one time, changed valve body and flushed 2nd time. Much better but still I can feel something wrond at that speed. Above 60km/hr runs perfect smooth. Then you press gas harder from 0 to 100...runs without any issue. Can jot fing the problem. No codes
Try to use manual gear, just feel the shifting if there is any changes.before you flush the system hows the condition of the atf, is it black and sign of burning clutches? Let me know to rectify the fault.
That was air blowing, of course it seems gear slipping because of the blown air is high. But of the shifting was fine then you can easily knew that fan clutch is inoperative.

In order not to relearn the idle. Otherwise, you will relearn if the idle is fluctuating at idle only. Unlike rpm fluctuating at high speed while driving. @@propilot366 before new oil seal installation, remove the retainer and pry it with finger only then find put the joint and loosen counter clockwise to separated it. The end of the spring is defenitely different. Try to cut the big hole not the end of spring it looks like threaded one. If you cut that it's a big mistake. 1mm at least.
Well, if exactly the same problem that you are facing now such rpm fluctuation. I am really sure just replaced the torque converter with a used good one or better new one. If the shifting is fine amd fluctuating only but the atf is turn to black, no worry the clutches from torque converter was totally burn out...

Any car workshop, before releasing the vehicle they must do final test drive and double check as well oil leakage if they performed any kind of service particularly transmissions overhauling. If they found out the fault , for example during overhauling it should be find out the cause of the fault. Ok, read the DTC and what it says? Mostly infinity and nissan Patrol has a the same issue...some times fixable if the code related to the 4wheel. If there wasn't a DTC, the motor of 4wheel drive is not responding. If you have a scan tool, select the active test to monitor the 4wheel system. @DH-nt2yt dh, my assumption is it might not be fluctuating, I think your engine had slightly engine jerks . Use scan tool and select the live data and select fault counter and drive, monitor the value, the value should be zero if shown numbers means you have a faulty ignition coil

For your informations the crank position sensor isn't submerged into the oil. It was located at the right hand side at the back of engine block pointed to the flywheel. You may check thr manual if you don't mind.
Try it to rev at Park position only, snap acceleration reaches of how many rpm, is it reached up to 6k rpm and not fluctuating. Pls kindly let me know. Thanks.
Eddie, I have a 2018 QX80 (98000 miles) and at low speeds the engine was pulsing. The RPMs didn't appear to fluctuate. I took the vehicle to the Infiniti dealer and they told me I needed to replace the torque converter. By watching other posts on youtube, I wasn't sure that was the issue. I changed the spark plugs and cleaned the mass air flow sensor and did a fuel injection system clean hoping this would fix the issue. Then last night, I was coming home from a road trip and at 75 mph the RPMs started fluctuating and the check engine light came on and off. We made it home, but something is obviously wrong. Can you please let me know your thoughts on if this is the torque converter? I have read the Infiniti Technical Bulletin 22-039 and it only talks about "vibration during light or moderate throttle input". Not at higher speed. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you, Troy

Why, moreover observe the engine at idle if it is fluctuating or it seem like to cuts off the engine. I beleive the one you're facing a problem is seems the rpm fluctuates after shifted on high gear. I will advice to you don't buy, do you know why? The maintenance is to costly. Particularly direct injection. Direction is powerful than ordinary injector. Eddie I got a 2011 Infiniti m56s it has a 107,000 mi on it I had to get the modules replace for it and I remember the sales technician was talking about the torque converter just been about 6 months later now my car the RPMs goes up at 2,000 RPM I get off the gas paddle it does a jerk I put it in manual mode and use the paddle shifters in fourth gear it does the same thing what is wrong and what's going on with my car also Eddie he told me that my catalytic converters had to be replaced as well but the car drove fine every now and then it'll spit or sputter a little no hard spitting sputtering also my check engine light is on it has stopped flashing for a long time now every now and then it may flash it's been about 7 months now with work at the dealership which cost me too much money
Fuel trims doesnt affect transmission. If youre facing a fuel trim on and off just carbonise the intake manifold. Parts is not required to replace unless if accidentally broke upon removal.

Update, problem gone: cleaned air flow sensor and replaced fan clutch (it was slipping)

Genuine or repairable and internal parts of the torque converter is necessarily to replace, such as one way clutch.
I didn't try aftermarket, I was always use genuine parts. You can try aftermarket but I don't have any idea it will last..

Yeah, that's problem I knew it. If you can service the valve body or else replace with another one as well do the tcm programming.

Hey Eddie, i remplace the transmission on my 19 titan 5.6 and first 2000 miles everything ok,but now in the morning time only ,first drive start shifting rare, to faster and dropped the rpm to 1000 in 5,6 or 7 gear, after some time it doesn't doing anymore, what do you think about it, thanks
What do you mean dropped the rpm to 1k. Meaning it doeant to 5, 6, direct shifted to 7 speed. Am i right.
Yes, your right,but now is getting worst it doing from 4 gear,last week they change the torque convert and nothing change everything the same , do you have any idea,thanks
How's the condition of the ATF? If it is black in color, that's the sign of clutch slippage means internal problem.
It is a new transmission, they remplace , only 5000 miles, but the problem is that don’t do all the time, , I’m not can duplicate the problem to the mechanic, make me frustrated

Hello brother, i have an issue regarding my nissan 2013. I believe it shares the same engine as the infinity. When I accelerate suddenly, the rpm stutters then continues like normal.

No, if you think fuel presure low, you are wrong. Watch my video carefully. If you did'nt encountered such fault, then experience it to know about it. That problem can be solved thru experienced only.
