Beijing Auto Show displays futuristic cars, showcases EV development

  • China's vision for the future of the automobile, electrified and digitally connected, is on display at the Beijing Auto Show. Organizers say 117 new models are making their debut at the event.
    Auto companies at the Beijing Auto Show have showcased their versatility and virtuosity in trendy and stylish vehicle models with dramatic customer-centric mindset, which complies with their enterprising pursuit in vying for desirable global prominence with high-quality products.
    Dongfeng Motor Corporation Ltd. displayed more than 20 models of its self-developed new energy vehicles, demonstrating the latest achievements in new energy transformation and intelligent development.
    By 2025, the company's sales of self-developed new energy vehicles are expected to exceed 1-million units. Over the next three years, it will introduce 30 new passenger car models and 14 new basic commercial vehicle models in the new energy sector to meet consumers' demand for comprehensive mobility solutions.
    The show runs through to May 4, 2024.

    Everyone laughing at EVS - just wait 6 years when that's all that's sold here.
    You don't care now, you will then. An EV in -40 -50 will not do so well. I have no idea what all these people are smoking.

      Good luck. Carrying a class Iv cryogenic hydrogen pressure vessal at 10k Psi. To pu it into prospective, the hydralic system on some aircraft only running at 3k psi.

    Chinese cars have lots of problems in foreign countries:
    - no network of dealerships,
    - no service centers after sales,
    - no internet connection to their cars,
    - even no truck arrangements to haul cars to buyers.

    China's EV industry is not booming but dying.
    Most 🇨🇳 Chinese EV manufacturers reported loss last year. Many went out of business.
    - There were 500 electric car makers in China in 2019, last year less than 100, and now few dozen left, a drop rate of 50% every year.
    By this rate, China will have none left after a few years.

He was complaining about China flooding the market with their affordable EVs. China was so impressed with him they let the US ambassador see him off.🤣🤣
