This is a Star Trek-Medley arranged for symphonic wind orchestra by me and partly transcribed from Calvin Custers original arrangement for symphony orchestra.
It includes themes from all the series (except Discovery), ST7: Generations and a musical piece from the TNG-episode "Inner Light".
It is performed by The Ingesound Wind Orchestra from Ingesund School of Music (Karlstad University), Sweden.

Am I the only one that got choked up watching this? Especially the Voyager and Enterprise themes. Those are my two favorite Treks. This series always has had such beautiful music and such an amazing story and fan base. It’s boldly gone where no tv show has gone before and entertained millions around the world. It will continue for generations to come, and I’m glad I gave watching this series a chance. To all of you Trekkies our there: live long and prosper. Let’s make sure history never forgets the name Star Trek.

I was getting a lump in my throat from DS9, then 'the inner light'? chile please, I'm sobbing here.
Once the Voyager theme started, the tears started. Simply amazing arrangement.

I loooooooove the 'Voyager" theme song. It does something to me. My fav ST theme...they did a good job here.

Voyager was my introduction to Star Trek when I was young so it holds a special place for me. Also the theme is very beautiful on it's own.
I think Voyager has the most beautiful theme of all the series.
Deep Space Nine is my favorite, but I love this orchestrated version.

I'm really glad they included Enterprise in this. It may be one of the least (if not the most disliked) of the series but it was still an important entry into the franchise and I for one enjoy it.
I choose to go with the end credits theme (Archer's theme) rather than the main title (Faith of the Heart) mostly becuase it suited the orchestral arrangement better. Although I do think they should have gone with Archer's theme as the main title.
Beautifully done. Loved the inclusion of the Rissekian Folk Song from Inner Light. That melody still brings a tear to my eye because the episode was just that good.

Voyager all the way. It makes me cry uncontrollably each time I hear it. My dream is to hear this myself at somewhere like this performance.

I'm playing a similar medley in my high school band, and I'm honestly stoked. I never knew that star trek music sounded that cool.

I'm guessing you're playing John Moss' arrangement, which was an inspirations for this arrangement along with Calvin Custer's for symphony orchestra.

AAAAAAAAnd Archer's theme got me tearing up again
TOS is still the tip of the spear for this franchise. "Live long and prosper", Enterprise NCC 1701 and her crew!
I love them all, however TNGs theme at the end, it has always been my favourite and felt right at the end. It almost feels like everyone (the orchestra included) should stand up as if it were an anthem, and often that’s exactly what it feels like, as if it is the Anthem of the Federation.

Absolutely amazing, i sat stunned hearing how wonderful they rendered each song. even the picard flute solo which has been voted the most beautiful musical piece ever created for a television show. bravo on finding this.

St:Generations theme doesn't seem to get recognized as much as First Contact but it's probably my favorite. Was great to hear it included.

The melodies of First Contact are amazingly beautiful, but in terms of fanfare either Generations or Voyage Home takes the prize.

A friend randomly shared this with me and you have no idea how much it means. I'm a lifelong Trekkie and musician - I've played ALL of these themes on many instruments - AND I SPEAK SWEDISH!! Well, I used to speak it fluently in my teens. It was so cool to hear your introduction and your arrangement. Jättekul!

The segues, key changes, tempo changes are done amazingly. some pitching and tuning on wood and brass a little off. percusion amamzing!

Tempo changes was definitely the hardest. Especially between the intro and the theme for TOS along with the segue to DS9. I'm probably gonna rewrite them if I do another version.

Grymt. Älskar medleyt och arrangemanget. SNygg intro av Alexander COurage Star Trek signal in i hans Star Trek tema från originalserien. SNygg ingång till Deep Space Nine (Dennis McCarthy förstås) introt för att gå in en ett snyggt euphoniumsolo med temat ifrån The Next generation "Inner Light" ac Jay Chattaway. Fortsättningen från Star Trek - Generation av Dennis Mccarthy är superb. För att gå vidare med Star Trek Voyager en annan av mina favoriter av min namne Jerry Goldsmith. WOW.... Dennis McCarthy igen med Enterprise-temat (som skulle varit temat för originalserien, men som senare blev sluttemat. :--) ) ALltså Det är Dennis McCarthy och Jerry Goldsmith som verka vara de stora star trek kompositörerna. SLutet med Star Trek The Next Generation temat är grymt. Bra kämpat av hornsektionen. Inte lätt. :-) Snyggt arrangemang. Riktigt Snyggt.

Ja, hornen fick jobba hårt med alla teman och de gjorde det riktigt bra.
Har eventuellt en symfoniorkester-version av det här arret på gång, dock med några viktiga ändringar som t.ex mer slagverk i DS9 och förfining av övergångarna. Hoppas kunna få klart det, och eventuellt uppspelat, senare i vår.

thanks (from France) for your job :-) my favorite serie is "Star Trek Enterprise" ; cpt Archer T'Pol Trip are my favorite "heroes" ! they give me high emotions, with their qualities, defaults, feelings and troubles; a wonderful serie for me; I was very sad when it stopped. .... and I m also upset because in your concert, the "Star Trek Enterprise's theme" (Archer's theme in fact) is too too short !! ;-) it s so unfair because it s the most lovely and nostalgic theme of the "saga" :-) (good word for Scandinavia and also ... Finland, Sibelius 'country I love deeply !)
It's not very often you hear someone name ST: Enterprise as their favorite series :) Had they continued for at least one more season I think that would have been great.
Unfortunately "Archer's theme" isn't much longer than what I wrote. To bad that I didn't have any electric guitars available to make it a really epic power ballad ;)
thanks for your answer. yes, of course, too sad, Archer's theme is too short ...but it s possible to explore :-) as Brahms did with "variations on a theme from Paganini" or "variations on a theme of Haydn" ! :-) I don't like Deep Space Nine because religion is too much present , with prophets and "miracles" !! etc ... ; for me, it s ridiculous because I think for instance, Bible Torah Coran are books with legends, fairy tales, with a few historic part; it s exactly like "l Iliade" and "Odyssee" written by Homere. for instance, the Egypt's seven plagues are natural events (which happened on a lot of centuries; scientifics have explained all the events) ; it s not miraculous and it s not of course the wrath of a God to punish Ramses !! as it s not gods who punished Trojan ... ; in fact, people want absolutely to believe Bible or Coran because they are frightened by idea of death. it s natural and I undestand that

This is the good Star trek. Not the foolishness of those 3 movies from the last 10 years or discovery.
It starts at 1:40.
It's a little amateurish sounding, but they're hearts are in it wholely. Who they are I'll never know
Had trouble with ST VOYAGER
DS9>TNG>VOY>TOS>ENT imo
Although ENT is the 'worst' I still love it (season 3 and 4 at least). I also think Archer's theme is easily one of the best theme's in the series.
I think Enterprise has it's moments and is a perfectly ok Star Trek-series.
I also love the Archer's theme and I'm sad that they didn't use it as the main theme.
Basically, the Original Series theme, combined with Deep Space Nine and Voyager. (Not a complete medley, if it doesn't include the Animated Series theme, the 2 distinctive motion picture themes (one used for Next Generation) or the Enterprise prequel series theme.)
I merely kept the themes that was in the original arrangement that I transribed from and added the Enterprise credits theme because I thought it was missing. I considered adding the theme from the new movies as well but I didn't have enough time to do that.
Will be interesting to hear the theme for Star Trek: Discovery when it releases.
Every single piece was done so perfectly. I love that you included "inner light", it gets missed by so many.
