Whatever you do, NEVER EVER make weaker players than you feel uncomfortable at the table. Make the session enjoyable for hours and hours for them. You'll be amazed at how your stack will grow. Remember, you can shear a sheep many times, but you can only skin him once.
And if so.. What is the point to insult people anyway? I don't like calling recreational players fish neither! In a different field they're are better then you - would you then like to be called loser or fish? This is just a game and remember, as a stronger player you need the weaker players to win, and they just want to have fun, so why don't be nice to them? This way, you can win from them longer, and they can still have a good time at the table - win/win situation.
Beating the fish is the biggest eureka moment I've had in my Poker career. Turned me from a losing player into a winning one just like that, snap of the fingers.
A lot of the regular players at a tournament i've started going to can play very loose and often with unpredictable ranges. am i being too cautious by just trying to limp or not bet big pre-flop?
I remember my first year plaaying poker and some old granny called me a fish lmao. I knew what it meant because i read three books on poker by then. I did tell her you dont talk to me like that. In a threatening way lol. (Im a man first poker players second). Ended finishing in 21st place for a cash in the 10k event at binions. Thanks to her insult. I lasted longer than granny. Keep the insults to yourelf unless the newbies to become super focus to show u up. Lol. I win
