    Nice tutorial.
    When I record audio, say a mono guitar, I find it's giving me 4 separate files of that guitar (Guitar file, L file, R file and L+R file) in the Pool section of Studio One.
    If I then turn down that track on the mixer, in playback, I can still hear L, R and L+R playing from my pool. Is my I/O set up wrong?
    I'm having to delete all these things manually to unclutter the sound.

    Hi, I recently purchased the PreSonus AudioBox USB 96 bundle pack that included Studio One, microphone, headphones, and 2 speakers. I have gotten so far as to record some test vocals, guitar, and a few loops. One of my questions is, instead of listening to playbacks thru the headphones, how do I get the playbacks to play thru the 2 speakers so all can hear? Thanks & have a great day!

    • @AaronMatthies
      @AaronMatthies  3 роки тому

      You can either plug the speakers directly into the AudioBox or use the driver ASIO4ALL to send the output to your computer's speakers. The guide on my website explains how to do it.

  • @sd83music

    My Yamaha thr10x acts as an interface and I can see it in the set up. Problem is, it plays back through the amp. Almost blew my speakers. Any idea how to set it so my speakers get the playback?

    • @AaronMatthies
      @AaronMatthies  2 роки тому +1

      The only way to do that would be to use a different audio driver like ASIO4ALL and select your speakers as the output device. Details are covered in the guide on the website.

      @AaronMatthies  11 місяців тому +1

      My other video goes into different methods you can connect your guitar to a computer. I'd watch that first and read the guide on my website to find the best option for you. The short answer is no, I wouldn't recommend using an adapter.

    Hey Aaron! Great video
    I have 2 questions:
    1. I saw in your best DAW's article, that you're not recommending Guitar Rig 5 because it's very old, and there are better plugins than it. How's the Guitar Rig 6 that came out now? Is it good to use?
    2. I have a very weird problem with my Focusrite Scarlett Solo Audio Interface. I've Plugged my electric guitar into it (INST input), and to computer properly, I've installed the Focusrite drivers. I've configured in my REAPER DAW all the configurations as it should be. (Added track of my guitar input from Focusrite, Armed for recording, and the monitoring is working well, I can hear the guitar from the Input Track in REAPER, including the Guitar Rig FXs)
    But when I start record, a blank audio track is appearing in all of the recording (no sound waves) and it doesn't recording anything. But the monitoring works great. Can you help me?

    • @AaronMatthies
      @AaronMatthies  3 роки тому

      1. You can read my thoughts on Guitar Rig 6 in my full review here: guitargearfinder.com/reviews/guitar-rig-6/
      2. That's definitely a weird problem - I haven't seen anything like that before. The first thing I would try is to switch to a different ASIO driver, to rule out any possible issues with that. Use something like ASIO4ALL and see if you get the same blank recordings. If you do, it's likely to be an issue with REAPER. Considering how popular your audio interface is, I would contact REAPER support or ask on their forums to see if anybody else has had a similar issue. If you do figure out the issue, please let me know by commenting here. Good luck!

    • @BarAndShai
      @BarAndShai 3 роки тому

      Aaron Matthies I’ve figured out the problem (Still weird and unsolved)-
      When I configure the Focusrite sample rate (in Focusrite ASIO Configuration and in REAPER “Request XXX”) if I choose sample rate higher than 48khz it doesn’t work (blank recording)
      I choosed at first 192khz (Focusrite maximum sample rate), But only if I choose a sample rate up to 48khz (44.1 or 48 for example), I can record.. Do you have an idea?

    • @AaronMatthies
      @AaronMatthies  3 роки тому

      If it works at 44.1 or 48kHz, I'd just leave it at that. For pretty much most recording situations, 48kHz is perfectly fine and going to a higher sample rate only uses up more disk space and processing power.

    • @BarAndShai
      @BarAndShai 3 роки тому

      Aaron Matthies Yes I know I can get along with 48khz,
      But if Focusrite supports 192 why I cant..

    • @AaronMatthies
      @AaronMatthies  3 роки тому

      Guitar signals are mono, so are you talking about recording the output from stereo guitar pedals or using multiple microphones? Either way, it's the exact same steps involved as covered in the guide on my website under the section "How to Record Multiple Instruments at Once"

      Create a stereo track in Studio One and select the two inputs that match the channels from your pedal. The POD GO manual shows diagrams for different recording options. If you have the right drivers installed, it's very straight forward.
