how come when I add the plugin the vsts don't show in the folder but they are in the folder when I am in my documents, and also I tried adding it as if it was a file to my browser and the vsts showed up? any solutions? thanks in advance.

I had to create a folder as VST, because when I tried at fist adding them mixed in the same folder where are default effects, it won't recognize them.

the "find plugins" part just doesn't work, it doesn't show up even though it's in the right folder
edit: i had it in one folder too deep, it doesn't search within any other folder. it also didn't show up in the list after the scan, but it DID show up after I searched for it

It is so clunky adding plugins. I spent an hour getting the arturia fx collection to show up properly. Without this video I would have given up. Now I have to battle on through V collection! Surely this stuff could be automated???

What plugin? When you go to install it, the installer should ask you where to install it.

Plugins can come in a few different formats, so the plugin may just be a different file type. My guide on plugins on my website covers this in detail.

I cant find how to add my own VST3 directory. If you click on add directory, it only reads VST, not VST3 or 2. If you check, the only VST3 directory folder is the default one. If FL has a button to change that parameter i cant find it.
You can not even edit the default adress.😡
I have an .nki file and i cant get it into fl studio.. Any idea?
NKI is a Native Instruments format, so try installing Kontakt Player (free) in FL Studio and load your nki file there.

Hello. I am using the 14 day trial for FL. I have a vocal plug in and every time i try put it on a track my audio is very choppy and echos loud. Im not sure how to fix it i’ve tried multiple things. If you have any advice would be appreciated. Thank you!!!
It could be that the plugin is putting too much load on your CPU. Increasing the buffer size in your audio settings should help.
@@AaronMatthies Hi, thank you for responding. I tried increasing the buffer size but still nothing. To explain the problem more thoroughly, when i make a regular audio track it sounds fine. I then tried adding the vocal preset on the track itself and as well putting it on a separate track. As i said without the preset it sounds fine but i add it on any track and the sound becomes very distorted, loud and echos a lot. Trying to find a solution for it on the internet has been very difficult. Thank you for your help.0
hi there , what if i have .fst file type ?
FST files are what FL Studio creates to save effect presets. They're not the actual plugin files.
its not showing up for me
i went to program files but i didnt see the VSTPlugins folder. I tried using the bar on the top of file explorer but it keeps saying that the VSTPlugins folder is not found. Help!
Create the folder and tell FL Studio to look in that folder for plugins. Then when you download and install a plugin, install it to that folder.

Yes. The trial version can open and use plugins without any problems.
I still dont find guitar rig 6 in the manage plug ins
Check the folder you installed the plugin to and make sure it matches the folder FL Studio can scan. Also check that the bit rate of your version of FL Studio matches the plugin bit rate.

Yes, plugins work in the free version. Check out the FL website to see what the limitations are in the free version.
this doesnt work, when I try to put my dll file in it gives me an error which doesnt allow me to put it in the vst plugins folder
What does the error say?
its says something about this file had an error copying, or something like cannot copy this file
If you're using Windows, that sounds like an admin permissions error. If you get the error again, just type that exact error message in Google and you'll get instructions on how to fix it.
My plugin is missing when searching for it in the mixer. It still shows up in the plugin manager though. What should I do?

Same issue for me
I will never, ever get behind software that only provides this kind of inflexible and non-intuitive plugin routing. Jeskola Buzz showed us the way 20+ years ago: A two-dimensional plane where you can route all the ins and outs of your plugins and get the exact chain of effects and end-result you want. Like imagine a routing option that looks like 5:11, only you can create paths between each plugin, forking them off to multiple other plugins. Sort of like, you know, how you would do it if all your effects and generators were actual hardware.
That sounds like FL's "Patcher" plugin. It's a 2D-plane where you can add and route every plugin you own in whatever chain you want, and then easily automate them by creating your own knobs and sliders for whatever you're looking to do.
Why is this so confusing- it's not working for me
