I love that their friendship was truly genuine 😭 I’m so glad she had that support throughout her rough times.
Yup
Yes🥺
Yes! Like they mentioned people come n’ go so frequently especially in your teens and 20s so finding someone that’s gonna support you this hard should be cherished.
The chemistry was too real on iCarly
Same here, they are true companions.
I hope Jeanette eventually finds healing and peace.
And if she does return to acting, I hope she lands a role that brings her a lot of joy.
I would love to see her act in something dramatic/gritty but she's such a natural comedian!
@@metalicrobot66 if you want something more gritty, she wa stood in the show called Between on Netflix
I hope if she does it’s with a caring female director.
I hope for that, too, and I really hope that she returns to "In Between" show because it so so so good 😭
Man, after reading her book, I hope she never has to act again. She so clearly hates it, I'm so glad she at least feels comfortable behind the camera bc we get to see her art in a different way she actually enjoys.
Everytime Miranda is brought up, it's like her eyes light up and sometimes she gets more giggly, like I do when I talk about my best friend. Just the thought of Miranda makes her a little happier and it truly shows that Miranda was a light in a very dark time and place for Jennette.
Miranda Cosgrove is one of my absolute favorite people in Hollywood. She is such a sweet, lovely person with an infectious smile. I'm glad they've been such a positive impact on each other's lives.
I just finished reading the book and everytime she writes about Miranda, you feel such genuine love and happiness in Jennette's words. I sincerely hope for that people who are going through something like this also have a Miranda in their lives. They really must have had a very strong friendship, and based on the interviews I've been watching, it seems like they're still on friendly terms now
I'm so happy that Jennette had someone like Miranda while she was going through so many tough situations.
Right? I'm so proud of both of them for different things, their friendship just looks so healthy and I'm really grateful that both of them have not been consumed by the horrible things that Hollywood has done
The way she owns and respects the boundaries she has for her mental health is so inspiring.
Exactly
I love that she's healing, for her to even think about coming back to acting after how much it affected her shows growth. I love her, such a sweet soul ❤️
Yes, I really want Jennet to return to her acting career
I think she’ll prob have trouble getting work.
@@davud4536 I would love more music from her more than acting. She has a fantastic voice and her songs have amazing lyrics!
@@SxyChicDisney i want it too
@@liltiggergirl316 why?
Yes, tell em again Jennette. I really do support her for wanting to not come back especially after everything she has been through with that awful man. So yeah I completely understand why and mental health is very important so I'm glad to see that she is doing a whole lot better now! ❤
Yeah! Even though he’s not involved in the reboot, still, it should definitely be Jennette’s choice because it’s her health and over life she’s taking care of! I’m so happy that she’s getting the recognition that she deserves nowadays 😊
*i hope she considers at some point to play a more mature and less edgy version of sam, like a grown version that’s authentic to jeanette. it’d be great to see a cameo but all while she’s taking care of herself as well*
Well, atleast someone actually asked her about it!!

@@rachelk.9708 the name of the show is probably traumatic to her though
I dont understand why people dont get why she wouldn't want to be a part of the reboot. 1. She'd be called by the same name 2. Be in similar looking set. Of course that would be triggering for her! Go Jennette! Im so proud of her!! Edit: I’m watching the revival with my mom and I really love how there are so many callbacks to the friendship between Carly and Sam. I hate when a key member leaves a show and they’re given one mention at the beginning to explain their absence and then is promptly never meantioned again! Also I never got so many likes. Thank you so much!
SAME
Ikrrr, same for the Olsen twins
Thank you. I feel like the interviewer is being selfish. You make so much sense.
@@anabanana5732 no
But going back can also be healing. You go back on set, you see the difference between then and now and that things are no longer like that. I am not saying she has to, but to assume that you can only be triggered going back is naive.
I hated how her childhood was taken from her.. I’m really glad she’s doing ok and doing what she wants to do without someone trying to force her
Yes
Was her mom mean to her?
@@katherinecastro4393 her book name is I’m glad my mom died, you finish the puzzle
@@SSS_kevin wow 😯
Me too no one deserves that.
I finished reading the book and amidst everything, Miranda seemed to be the one person that was a constant source of happiness and support for Jennette. While the book held angry and ugly words for most of the people mentioned (rightfully so), Jennette seemed to have written a love letter for Miranda, in which every word about her was heartfelt and sweet. They must have been extremely close and from the way Jennette's eyes light up whenever her friend is mentioned, it's safe to say that the feeling is still mutual to this day 😭 😭 😭
What did she say about the other icarly actors?
@@Shadamyfan-rs8xc not much. She mentions Nathan being kind to her during the kissing scene. That's about it
@@TheKillahKyla oh, ok
She seems incredibly down to earth! Inspiring!
Nahhhh
1:25 The “We're all grown up!” made me tear up. Crazy how time flies. I'm afraid of losing my best friends when I'm much older. I love the kind of friendship that Miranda and Jennette has and I hope to see it occasionally♥

She’s 30 now and I still see her as the young teenage girl. Her energy and personality is so youthful 💕
The iCarly cast are deadass the only TV cast that have no drama between each other
Sounds like the kids trauma bonded and helped each other. Terrible situation but glad jeanette and Miranda had each other
Star Trek the next generation… another cast with no drama
There's lots of casts that have no drama, whutchu talking about?
you must watch a lot of superficial drama filled shows then cos idk about that
@@Bobsbugur8140 trauma bonding isn't people bonding over their similar traumatic situations. trauma bonding is when someone bonds with their abuser through manipulation. just letting you know so you don't misuse the term!
even without her mother and the creator, the show and the character are associated with a time in her life that was clearly so dark and a place that she would not want to go back to. i’m glad she’s thinking about her mental health and happy that she’s in a better place 🥺

As a superfan of iCarly and the whole cast I'm happy to know that they´re still friends and support one another. Also glad that Jannette is healing from the trauma. Having said all that... Danm it, how I miss them all doing the show together! Sam was my favorite caracter and I just can't watch iCarly without her. I know Jannette said before that she felt embaressed for her role and didn't feel like it was meaningful, but Sam meant a lot for me growing up and I bet a lot of other girls feel the same way out there.
Same, while I love the series with Sam included, I agree that she did the right thing by protecting her mental health.
Shes so mature, so well spoken, and so painful real. I hope Dan Schneider pays for his awful crimes against children!!!
I believe Dan Schneider was using his foot 👣 fetish fantasies as a vehicle for his offendings

I feel her and Miranda were so good together in real life, unlike other celebrities, that influenced the success with ICarly. I was a mom and loved watching ICarly with my kids. I found it so unique and funny.
It is so great to hear that they are truely the best of friends. Hopefully one day, she will come back to the big screen! 🙏🙏🙏💗💗💗

I'm happy they made a good relationship despite the situation she was in. I love them! I'm always for Jeannette just going through life being her best self!
She's so talented I'm glad to hear her say she might consider acting. I wish she would sing she has a beautiful voice.
she did use to sing
Writing is so healing and I truly adore her for writing her truth, she isn't shading anyone one, she is basically showing us that you don't have to hate someone to be jealous of them. But she owns it and I live that 💜🦋💜🦋
It would make sense for her to be a part
of the reboot since Dan isn’t associated with it. But she doesn’t like her character so there’s no reason why she would sign up for it if her mother’s not around
unless they gave her rights to change her character
She has mentioned it a few times kinda shame I like her character sam she was direct an straight to the point an would beat u down if u disrespected her or her friends. If she does return to the reboot maybe we’ll see a more calm mature version of Sam Puckett that maybe becomes a therapist
i think she will come back normal sam without embarrassing things and not cocky
Well a rewrite of sam can totally work. Maybe after the biker gang something happened and she changed
@@gervonniejones4045 spencer matured lots
I like that the interviewer referred to Dan as "the creator" as opposed to by his name. It felt respectful,.Love Jeanette, and I wish her the best.
It really is the little things. Something that may seem so meaningless to some is so helpful to others. I, personally, have been out of the situation with my former stepmonster for almost six years. With my dad and grandma, we never talked about name blocking. I think they noticed, when I’d first gotten out, how I reacted when people on their side of the family asked about him and my mom (they were still together. Yes, she chose him over me). In these six years, I genuinely can’t recall a time they’ve said his name. They always refer to him as just “him”. I constantly kick myself, saying I don’t really have CPTSD… despite being clinically diagnosed by multiple mental health professionals. I tell myself that I’m faking my trauma, despite knowing that couldn’t be further from the truth. Like, I know it’s just the years of gaslighting from my mother which has made me this way.
Your observation just made me realize that I likely show my trauma far more than I realize. Thank you for that.
It’s an honor when someone decides to be this vulnerable and lets us in - to do it with the grace and humor that Jennette has done is admirable. Hoping she’s doing well and healing her way. 😊
Miranda and Jeannette will be best friends forever and be there for one another
@Mr Malveaux This video’s only been out for an hour and you’ve already berated Jeanette several times. Quite sad how something as small as trolling in a comment section is fulfilling for you. Must be a bleak life.
@Mr Malveaux 😐
She looks good and feels good and she been eating fried chicken and ribs because she is country singer
@Mr Malveaux you have a fucked up way of showing you feel for her. Someone with an eating disorder wants to eat but their brain tells them no
*jennette
I’m not familiar with Jennette as an actress bc I’m an gen xer & my then boys (now adults) didn’t watch those shows. But this was on my timeline and the book title caught my attention so I clicked on the video and then decided to do a quick google search on her and her mom’s relationship and I have to say that from the small snippets of information I was able to gather, her relationship with her late mother really hit home for me. I too suffered from physical and mental abuse from my mother and it has taken me so many years to finally feel brave enough to talk about it and start working on my healing. So I admire this young woman for her courage to be able to share her story with the world. I may pick up the book and read it as part of my ongoing healing. Thank you for your courage Jennette 🌷💕🌷
I stopped watching iCarly since Jennette quit acting, bc it's based more likely on her , with my all respect to Carly and Freddy, Sam is the one who made me laugh and the reason why I watched the old iCarly to the end
Fr. Sam was one of the 3 must haves and without her, I'm not interested. I respect her decision to not be involved but I'm not interested in a new icarly.
Sorry Spencer carried the whole show the show still good she doesn't even know why u like Sam's character she doesn't even like who same was

Jeanette, drew a clear line. That show is a trigger, people need to stop trying to get her back into it🙄😑
No means no.
She clearly, said so before, in some UA-cam interviews and her own vlogs.
Glad she set and reset her boundaries. She is going for what she really wants to do, no more puppet strings from mom, bad creator, nor anybody else😎~
Great interview! I just watched her GMA one and the questions were so out of line. This interviewer made her feel at ease.
I love this girl so much. She's so genuine and I'm rooting for her so hard. Good luck with everything, Jennette! I can't wait to read your book!
3:20 Jannette’s face when the interviewer said “the creator”
We all know she's referring to
Be aware of dirty dan- spongebob
It’s a shame how a person whose made awesome shows that made our childhood do bad things behind.
I’d love to see her & Miranda do their own show similar to like Grace & Frankie!!
Like on CBS
As much as I would love for her to come back and we get an update on Sam, her prioritizing her mental health above all else is what’s most important and I respect that. I’m glad that her and Miranda have a good relationship and not one of those fake it for the camera type ones. Can’t wait to see what’s next for her
She is such amazing actress! I have seen her in a lot of shows ! And she is such inspiring person for sharing her story
Much love to Miss Jennette. Thanks for sharing your story with us. I've listened to her podcast a lot and she is so insightful and well spoken
I'm really happy that she's able to speak out about this now and hoping she's in a much better place. It's shocking to think what hell she was going through and none of us had any clue about it. Nothing but respect and admiration for her talking about all this
It's so refreshing to see an actress be so open about the bullshit in the industry, genuinely putting her morals and mental health before a paycheck.
Nathan and Jerry will be there for you too
Let me make this explicitly clear: she owes the fans of the show iCarly absolutely nothing. If he does not want to be associated anymore with a franchise that has caused her untold trauma and harm, she has every right to refuse to be a part of it. If you were really a fan of hers, you would understand this. She does not owe you a sequel or reboot. She owes herself happiness.
fans always get pissy at child actors when they dont want to come back for the reboot. Look at the Olsen twins and the hate they got when they didnt return for fuller house for example. For some reasons some fans have a strange sense of entitlement to these people. strange
@ClassicNegan 😅
Jennette is as real as me typing this message,it's so refreshing to hear and see.
I couldn't even imagine what her life was like growing up on a set with other kids/teens and staying true to her authentic self all the while going through the huge mental and physical changes that one endures at her age, not to add on all of the unpleasantness that she endured.
That goes for all the kids that become childhood stars but for this minute im talking of Jennette.
I wish only the Very Best for her and hope & pray that her life is Kind and takes her to a place of pure Happiness and Contentment .
Loved this interview. Other interviews with Jeannette felt cold and uncomfortable but you can tell the interviewer really made Jeannette feel at ease in this one.

Jennette is amazing! I love that their friendship still stand after so many years. Jennette is extremely strong since she's open to the fact of acting again but in an environment which is not horrible which shows us that she's healing from the trauma that she had when acting in iCarly.

I always thought there was something off about iCarly, but Victorious really made me wonder.. in any case I pray for anyone who ever made contact with “that creep.” On another note she could thrive in adult comedy movies. I could see her in a film with Melissa McCarthy for sure.

Great interview. Love hearing from Jeannette.
That last question was so smooth and tactful. She brought "it" up without directly bringing it up, which gave Jeannette the opportunity to address it in whichever way she wanted. This was s good interview and I'm glad to see she's doing well. Her Tiktoks were the best, too! She has a lot of fans available with open arms, should she choose to go into acting or even do tiktoks again.
These interviews and intrigue is making me wanna go purchase this book 📖.
I'm so happy that she finally feels free to be herself and have control over her life

Jeanette I’m so proud of you, it turns my stomach knowing all this time growing up you were struggling the way that you were and it breaks my heart
I'm so glad that Jennette and Miranda are such good friends and she sounded happy when talking about their friendship too. I really hope that Jennette can continue to heal. After everything she went through, putting more emphasize on what helps her mental health is great and I hope that she'll be happy doing whatever she wants to do.
Damn, sounds like she's been through it. I absolutely love her conviction. She is totally right in it. Ones mental health should have precedence over all else. Good for her.
I am so glad that the two have remained friends over the years despite the traumas and heartaches! You can't beat great friendships! They are the only relationships that rival those of the family! In fact, great friends are often better than family! Family members can be competitive, judgemental, and conflicting at times, but your true friends will accept you -- warts and all! Best to you and Miranda, Jennette!
She’s so well spoken 🥺
It's also a shame it's treated as a catfight between her and Ariana Grande. I know there's some quotes making the 'rounds. But I don't think it's Anti-Ariana versus knowing that the treatment of her was far different from how she was treated. It's brave to even say that out loud knowing the wrath of the Arianators.
I heard that excuse too and didn't buy it for one second
Jeanette... I am so glad that you stood up like this and put your feelings out there.. I can totally relate... Been there done that.. however.. be glad that you're growing from this at the age you are.. didn't happen for me till I was in my fifties.. that means it went with me for a large amount of my life.. much love to you
That’s PERIDOT. This women was a huge part of my childhood and I loved her character so much on Sam and Cat as well as iCarly. It’s so horrible that she went through all of this and we all just watched thinking she was okay. This proves that anyone can fake a smile and don’t judge book by it’s cover, be kind, be compassionate you never know what anyone is going through. I love Jeannette and I’m so happy that she’s choosing to take care of herself, her mental health, and do what she loves. i know she more than likely wont go back to icarly but I really would love to see her in the very last episode for a little cameo but I doubt it would happen but I'm super glad she is happy with who she is now from all the self reflecting she's done over the years. I would really like to read the book sometime in the future tho!
She is a talented actress so it's nice to hear she is open to it again-I hope she is able to make that work for her in some healthy capacity in the future. She's very funny and most actors who are capable of comedy are also great dramatic actors as well. I'd love to see her do a serious adult role in something that she is engaged with for her own reasons.
I didn't grow up with Nickelodeon but definitely relate to her ED struggles. she describes the struggle so eloquently and honestly
A truly humble person and clearly very intelligent. She will help a lot of people I can see it.
I hope she returns to acting on her own terms. She was very good on icarly, i hope she continues to get better everyday even though she’s not coming back to icarly I do miss her on the show (Samantha “Sam” Puckett)
I don’t she will ever return and I’ll respect that
I hope that she heals and find her true authentic self through her writing and directing and I'm really glad that she is willing to choose her own future and not let others determine what she does and does not!

It’s amazing to hear people tell their own story.🤔😊
Miranda's crying, I'm crying, we're both crying, we can't stop crying. For me it's not that iCarly ending, it's not that today is our last day ever taping iCarly; that I'm fine with, definitely ready for. Even though I'm wary about starting my spinoff, I'm glad to at least be saying goodbye to this project that makes me feel like I'm living everyday in a Groundhog Day movie doing the same thing over and over again. The reason I'm crying is that I don't know what will become of my friendship with Miranda: we've gotten so close, like sisters but without the passive aggression and weird tensions. I have my judgments around female friendships being catty and petty and backstabby but that couldn't be further from the truth with Miranda. With Miranda it's always been so easy, our friendship is pure. An AD hands and me and Miranda a tissue; we blow our noses hideously and get back on our marks to do one last take for the final scene we're shooting together. The sadness takes both of us over: we hold each other and cry.
