I know a man Who doesn't have many friends I know a place he lives Where trouble never ends I know it's hard for him To read 'tween the lines And his days are getting so much shorter He simply turns away And dons a bitter frown His world is crumbling His ship is weighted down He doesn't care As long as he can wear the crown I know this man all too well It's my poor friend me A portrayal of the great dichotomy (A reminder of a tragic history) It's my poor friend me And I'm running out of steam I know there are people Who are cynical and vain They point their finger 'Cause they can't accept the blame They live their lives Under a blanket of shame and their progeny Crawl from underneath it Lately I've come To see the solution And it begins with me But I'm so fallibly human I've picked the lock But will not turn the key Of people running scared We live, breathe and die Off to a world, our time is slipping on by We have solutions, but don't even try And I feel I know just who to blame
If there was a punk record that you just know would sound epic acoustically, top to bottom, it's gotta be Recipe For Hate. Much of BR's discography qualifies, sure, but especially Recipe.
LOVE BAD RELIGION.
I NEVER HEARD NOTHING MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN BAD RELIGION IN MY ENTIRE LIFE
I'd like to see an official LP of unplugged Bad Religion classics...
Let's make this happen!
Listening to this again still give me chills, absolutely brilliant!
Punk rock is a folk music. Learnt that from Dr. Graffin.

One of my favorite songs. What an amazing band!
Just had the best friend pass from covid the song got me through it
Love this song by Bad Religion and love this solo version by Greg, such a great Vocalist
The album version gives me shivers everytimes, but that version sends these shivers even deeper.
Hell of a song
What a beautiful song.
Bad religion the men the myth legend bro
I know a man
Who doesn't have many friends
I know a place he lives
Where trouble never ends
I know it's hard for him
To read 'tween the lines
And his days are getting so much shorter
He simply turns away
And dons a bitter frown
His world is crumbling
His ship is weighted down
He doesn't care
As long as he can wear the crown
I know this man all too well
It's my poor friend me
A portrayal of the great dichotomy
(A reminder of a tragic history)
It's my poor friend me
And I'm running out of steam
I know there are people
Who are cynical and vain
They point their finger
'Cause they can't accept the blame
They live their lives
Under a blanket of shame and their progeny
Crawl from underneath it
Lately I've come
To see the solution
And it begins with me
But I'm so fallibly human
I've picked the lock
But will not turn the key
Of people running scared
We live, breathe and die
Off to a world, our time is slipping on by
We have solutions, but don't even try
And I feel I know just who to blame
It's my poooor friend meee🎶

I'm a fan
I'm a huge fan of bad religion(Hope you get the reference)
@@thereverseeffect7269 There should be a song about it...🤔😉
💘
The part about the cynical people and their progeny is missing. That's just too essential a verse to be left out!
Dude f**k yes
Where is the fucking lyric with progeny crawl from underneath it
This song could have been used on into the wild
I was thinking the same
Not a huge fan of the cover. Great song though!
