The first time I heard of Bad Religion was in about 1994 or 1995, I was 10 years old and was looking through CD's at the library. I came across Recipe for Hate and was intrigued. Took it home that day and listened to the entire album straight through. I had found my new favorite band, and to this day they remain my favorite punk band ever.
1996 bad religion come for first time in Greece. I am 14 and my mom won't let me go. I had just learned about them believe it or not through MTV and punk rock song...it took 16 years for them to come back to Greece in 2010...and I finally got to see them live. dream come true.
This beautiful. Against the Grain was an amazing album and this acoustic version sounds just great. So hyped for the solo release as well as their next album!
Me too. I'm 45 and have been listening to them for almost 30 years. The first song I heard was "We're Only Gonna' Die." I heard the "No Control" album in late '89, just after graduating. Hooked from then on. Admittedly I don't know much of their last three or four albums. And watching live videos from Warped Tour Shit is lame. They are only a shell of their former selves.
I'm the inverse as I love how the 13 year old me was able to understand that the band I loved as a teenager would only become timeless and more relevant in time.
Remember that time you did the book tour in Portland and I provided the backup vocals for this from the audience? Dude I found the steamer someone plopped in the gene pool from Burkett's song. It's a SNP mutation on the oxytocin receptor. Still haven't finished my bio degree but I have a new species for you to name. Love ya!
Truly we are at the turning point of human history. The direction looks unclear, but we can get through this. Faith alone can't save the human race the lyrics in this song cut like knives. The moral panic of late stage capitalism is in the air .
Against the Grain has better songs, but this works pretty well as an acoustic song imho. Excited to hear the rest and especially to read the book! Anarchy Evolution was a great read.
CONTESTATION WITHOUT GOOD TUNES AND GOOD AND OLD PUNK ROCK AND LETTERS REAL, STRONG AND LISTEN VOCES SINCE THE YEARS 90 LEARNED TO PLAY GUITAR BECAUSE OF BAD RELIGION. TO DATE YOUR TRACKS DO AND WILL ALWAYS MAKE A GREAT DIFFERENCE ON SCENE MUSIC, GREAT CONGRATULATIONS for the job, (JORYSSON LIMA) BRAZIL
This was always my favorite off of Against the Grain. Though for some reason the rest of the album didn't resonate with me as much as No Control and Suffer did.
Man I couldn't even pick a favorite. I can maybe divide the album into super top tracks and just top tracks. Modern Man, Flat Earth Society, Faith Alone, God Song and Walk Away in the first category, rest in the latter. I'd say of the three albums you mention, I like Suffer the least. They're all great though, for me everything BR released between '88 and '98 is awesome.

The same thing happened to me about the same time except I was introduced to Suffer.
I found them around then, but I was 17.
+ADC20032996 I Got Introduced To No Control At First. I Honestly Love Every Album This Ever Did.

This dude is on its way to 60's and making good and truth music. And got balls to say the truth. Guy is a legend.
