  • How a low poly game ready level looks like - Unreal Engine 4
    I made this level for testing purposes. Trying to create something including my own assets (windmill, palm trees, ships...) in a 100% playable environment. I'm definitely going to improve the level by adding a character and few gameplay mechanics.

    Looks really good. Although it seems like there is a little too much motion blur on faster movements

    Nice environment! How did you make the water? And what polygon pack is this? I want this water so much for my projects... Im also doing scenes and speed level designs

    Hey, what assets did you use for this? Are they free? Did you use the landscape tool to make the mountains or only assets? What software did you use to make the windmill for example?

    Great work 😍..Did you build this terrain in modeling software?

    If you pause the video while the camera is turning, you get a blurred image. Anyone knows the cause of that and what's a possible solution? I'm making an ue4 game too but when turning fast I have the same problem

    Nice job dude! So if you turned this into a game how much fps would you actually get with a half decent computer?

    • @StephaneCharre
      @StephaneCharre  6 років тому

      Easily 60fps I guess ;-)

      Awesome dude, as a new developer, where do you suggest I start to create something similar to this in the future? thanks, :)

    • @StephaneCharre

      Where ? You mean which game engine ?

    • @snipernoswiper7552
      @snipernoswiper7552 6 років тому

      Alphα Well I basically have minimum experience with coding. But this video is pretty inspirational, I just dont really know where to start to create something similar I mean. Any advice on what engine/language I should use/learn firstly or anything like that? Thanks,

      @StephaneCharre  6 років тому

      Umh, I did 3 years of cofing but this video doesn't relate any lines of code. I always found some inspirations on other content creators. If you want to start try to focus on something small. I consider using Unity for small or mobile games and UE4 for medium projects.

    Really beautiful ! It's not only low-poly but too simple materials.
    Btw is it really a GTX 1070 ? Or maybe it's the recording because it looks like 24-30 fps ^^. Oh and the tree at 0:33 is a little flying :P. But you know, that's just a detail, it still amazing.
    Keep it up and I'm really hyped to see what kind of gameplay you'll add :).
    Have a good day/night.

      Yup 1070, but I've recorded with the matinee of unreal but I guess I forgot to up the framerate number. It should be 24..
      Thank you for your support, much appreciated man ;-)

      did u just use a mesh simplifier? how long did this take? I have a game full complete but looking to simplify my mesh's for performance and my landscape has like quadruple the recommended poly for mobile
