They sided with the money. Dutch was the only one left who knew anything about the money as far as they knew. I mean look at RDR they weren't really besties after this scene
The guy that voices Javier asked for his character to point his gun away from them because he didnt think itd be fitting for Javier to turn on Arthur and John like that.
No, the actor wanted to do it, the director was even telling him to point it at Arthur, but he just didn’t want to because he liked the character, so he just points it away.
After playing RDR2 then replaying RDR1, I really do believe Javier was telling the truth. It makes much more sense now. Javier loved them. He rode with them longer than he did with Micah, but he could not betray his leader, their father figure. He was a coward for that. He cared and loved them, but he never had the guts to do right by them.

Not really, I mean at the time, it makes sense he cares for Arthur/John, he goes on several missions with the player and unlike Bill(stupid), micah(snake) or anyone else left alive he actually has a brain and can think for himself. By the time it hits RdR, Javier knows that John is hunting is for him, and even in RdR. He STILL doesn’t point a gun at John and instead tries to run away and avoid conflict. He appears to be betrayed/heartbroken imo when John actually decides to bring him in.

Hosea, Lenny and Sean dead, Sadie and Charles away. It really was sad how Arthur's allies were gone when he needed them, in the end he only had his brother John.
Yeah and considering characters who were alive and just weren't there all of them would of backed Arthur except maybe Karen so if so many hadn't died or left maybe Arthur could've lived a little longer
Charles, Lenny, and Sadie would have been on Arthur's side. The others all hated Micah, but not necessarily enough to go against Dutch. Sean liked Arthur, but felt disrespected by him. And as for Keiran, Arthur was constantly abusing him and reminding him that he was an outsider. Hell, Arthur had Bill pretend to castrate him. So there's no guarantee that either would stand with Arthur against Dutch. Tilly, Mary Beth, and Molly probably would have agreed with Arthur, but stood to one side and gone with the whoever won.
@@imperialdebauchery5988 nah Sean was never disrespected by Arthur. Arthur even wrote in his journal that he saw Sean as an annoying little brother but loved him regardless. Arthur enjoyed Kieran.

@@meowmeow3778 ,,Its MrBossFTW and today i will release that a mexican outlaw, revolutioner and bounty hunter aim my head in this ten minute long video"
When I first started playing 2 and Javier was introduced again I had high hopes for him because I particularly remember him telling John before John euthanized him was “John I tried looking for you I really did” or something like that…And then #2 ruined that thought
I believe Javier left Dutch almost right after and that he definately wanted to side with Arthur and John but he stayed loyal to Dutch and took his side because he believed in Dutch's idealistic ways up and to that point(especially considering John and Javier are/were quite close)Why I think so is at a part where you're riding away with John, Dutch and Micah actually chase you aswell as the Pinkertons but at the cutscene showing Dutch and Micah behind you, you only see Joe and Cleet with them (there's no Javier). Aswell as later on in the epilogue (as John) when you buy one of the news papers it gives you a nod that Javier's back in Mexico(which is confirmed in rdr1)....So I do think Javier did in fact realise what Dutch had turned into in the end and that he also left (what's left of the gang)and fled back to Mexico Same I guess goes for Bill?you dont see him either in the cutscene with Dutch and Micah and he does carryon to form his own gang in rdr1.
Javier was always on the fence, and it was pretty damn smart to have him enter the scene late in order to give him no time to decide and to be forced to role with it. They were ALL family to Javier, so without the group as a whole he was left the scatter to the winds. Interesting character, and quite subtle.
It can be also seen in 4:26. After that Dutch and others walks into his line of fire. And after that Javier seems to hesitate, not that it made much a difference with 5 guns against 1. Gun aimed or not I think it was pretty obvious that from 5 that joined Dutch Javier was closest to join Arthur. But as some point he started to value loyalty the most and the target of that loyalty was only Dutch.
Ya I saw Javi not aiming his gun and I though ‘He’s loyal to Dutch but he’s also a true brother to Arthur’ When you look at it, I feel like other than Dutch, Arthur has the most missions with Javier.
You missed an important scene. Before John confronts Javier , he has a talk with someone while he is enroute, and the conversation goes like "Javier was the most affected when dutch lost it".
Seriously what annoyed me in this scene is when micah shot mrs grimshaw and Dutch was like who's betraying me ,I was like are you blind Dutch its micah lol
2:46 there’s a horse and a rider peering into the camp but doesn’t enter, is this the Pinkertons or someone else that watched the whole scene play out??
If Hosea was still alive, it's likely Micha would've lost. Dutch would've seen that 3 of his greatest allies all agreed it was Micha, and would've moved to help them, with Javier following. Micha and his two cronies who I can never remember the name of would've been shot dead by the 6 (including Susan) and then they've fought off the Pinkertons, got the money, ran, met up with everyone and possibly surivived.
This is why an iP like RDR is so awesome. The actors take on emotional attachment to the characters they play and have real feelings towards other fellow characters/actors. They are often much more faithful than the writers could ever be. The Javier in RDR 2 was a good man compared to many other members. He risked death to save John, and for him to blindly follow Dutch against Arthur and John without any hesitation wouldn’t make sense. I’m happy to see that Javier’s actor knew himself enough to have doubts about betraying Arthur and John. The writers seem more disconnected. Disconnected enough to try to nonsensically create a suddenly “evil” Javier to merely tie him into the perceived evil character that was Javier in the original RdR. The rdr 1 Javier clearly was changed by the notion that his friend John was hunting him without any real provocation in rdr 1. While John had reason to hunt his former friend and gangster down to keep his family safe, he gave no effort to try and save both parties, which i think pushed an older Javier over the edge. Marston, after playing the events of rdr2, shows the gray area of marstons actions in the original game.
Even in that scene, he pushes the crate over onto John and he probably could have killed him but he runs. I think of the three, Javier was the only one who still had some semblance of love for John and Arthur. In RDR when you chase him after he jumps out of the window in Presidio, he takes pot shots at you but doesn’t ever really turn and fight. He just keeps running.

If you pause the video at 4:46 in 0.25 speed he is actually aiming the gun
He is, but before he pointed the gun he was hesitant
Yeah I saw that too
pedro roque
GOOOODDD DAMMIT
MOOoOVE
pedro roque you don’t have to slow it down I saw that for like 5 seconds, even when he does aim his gun his hand is shaky like he doesn’t want to do it
3:18 and 3:47
Those guitar solos though
Brilliant arnt they
Javier and Charles were definitely my favorite side characters. Sean too
Seeing Javier in 1 since I started on 2 it made me think life turn in the most unexpected ways and sometimes good people change
Javier doesn't aim his gun at Arthur
Next mrbossftw video will be about that Javier is good at fishing
He aimed at the air. On mrboss's head.

,,Its MrBossFTW and today i will release that a mexican outlaw, revolutioner and bounty hunter aim my head in this ten minute long video"
😂
Mr Boss: Guns were aimed in every direction.
Me: Nobody aimed a gun down🤔🤔🤔
from the start of the game I hated Dutch & Micha always try to shoot them both but game wouldn't let me
Dutch: -Thinks-
Micah: "shoots Mrs Grimshaw"
Dutch:*WhO Is BeTraYiNg mE*
5:45 Javier was lowering his gun at John and Arthur
11 minute video just for Javier to not point a gun at Arthur. Wow
Javier was my 4th favorite character, after Hosea, Lenny, and Arthur
8:16 Dutch said that to Jhon when a alligator eat Angelo Bronte
Spell much?
When I first started playing 2 and Javier was introduced again I had high hopes for him because I particularly remember him telling John before John euthanized him was “John I tried looking for you I really did” or something like that…And then #2 ruined that thought
Mr boss don't u mean Arthur's last mission instead of rdr2's last mission
No cuz he dies
@@sebastianbradley2714 ...
Sugar Peas it is the last mission, the rest is just a 2 Part Epilogue
No Arthur was the whole meaning of the game
Zorgec rdr2's last mission means the last mission u do
9:28 watch ur language boi
*boah
Pppppputoh! Ppppputo! Oh oh oh ohhhhhohoho
Aswell as later on in the epilogue (as John) when you buy one of the news papers it gives you a nod that Javier's back in Mexico(which is confirmed in rdr1)....So I do think Javier did in fact realise what Dutch had turned into in the end and that he also left (what's left of the gang)and fled back to Mexico
Same I guess goes for Bill?you dont see him either in the cutscene with Dutch and Micah and he does carryon to form his own gang in rdr1.
Wow he wasn't aiming his gun at Arthur "BIGGEST THING PLAYERS DIDNT NOTICE"
And unfortunately, he pointing his gun at arthur and john, but the scene was pretty fast (sorry if my English isn't perfect)
The voice actor for Javier explained why at a con when asked
Javier was always on the fence, and it was pretty damn smart to have him enter the scene late in order to give him no time to decide and to be forced to role with it.
They were ALL family to Javier, so without the group as a whole he was left the scatter to the winds. Interesting character, and quite subtle.
I liked javier since the begining of rdr2 so i was disappointed when he betrayed aurther and john
Durimg chapter 3 theres dialogue in camp about javier arguing whit dutch doubting his philosophy.
I wish Javier joined Arthur’s side. Like he definitely seemed like a person on Arthur’s side
5:16 Javier is aiming his gun, but the light didn't reflect until the light system passed over the scene.
6:34 Arthur: he may be as dumb as rocks...
After epilogue Uncle: John, the rock farmer.
IntEresTing
I found that so cool! Javier pointed his gun up in the air
Javier had just arrived, so he didn't know what was going on. Simple as that.
Ya I saw Javi not aiming his gun and I though ‘He’s loyal to Dutch but he’s also a true brother to Arthur’ When you look at it, I feel like other than Dutch, Arthur has the most missions with Javier.
Its thought. I know you tried though
You missed an important scene. Before John confronts Javier , he has a talk with someone while he is enroute, and the conversation goes like "Javier was the most affected when dutch lost it".
It sucks that Sadie and Charles weren’t with Arthur and John because things would have gone differently. :(
They did Javier and his beautiful voice so wrong- Arthur Morgan’s hat.
I was very surprised when javier stood on Micahs side
Seriously what annoyed me in this scene is when micah shot mrs grimshaw and Dutch was like who's betraying me ,I was like are you blind Dutch its micah lol
Rockstar let Javier's actor do that MrBossftw, because he kept telling them, I can't aim at them they are my brother.
2:46 there’s a horse and a rider peering into the camp but doesn’t enter, is this the Pinkertons or someone else that watched the whole scene play out??
Probably bc they came from that direction:/ (but if it was stranger they were probably like OOOOHHHHH sh*t is going down here guys)
As you can see here in the backround of this cut seen there is a tree
MrBossFTW: ah very interesting
Javier was one of my favourite characters in 2 and I hadn’t remembered the story of the first game and immediately just went wrong for me
Honestly, this is why I love Javier, despite being on Dutch’s side, he never aimed the gun at John nor Arthur.
Pretty sure everybody knows this especially if U “Completes The Game”💯🤷🏽♂️🤣
Not necessarily cos I didn't notice
Yes I noticed it the first time, it was interesting. Also I believe lenny, Hosea would of been team Arthur.
Do if arthur Morgan finds trevor Phillips after he follows the time traveller to Los Santos something CRAZY HAPPENS
@Larzarius Nash no
Of course it’s not possible because this is RDR 2 not GTAV
He protecc
He attacc
But most importantly
He got LaMbAgO
Even in that scene, he pushes the crate over onto John and he probably could have killed him but he runs. I think of the three, Javier was the only one who still had some semblance of love for John and Arthur. In RDR when you chase him after he jumps out of the window in Presidio, he takes pot shots at you but doesn’t ever really turn and fight. He just keeps running.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t at least a bit impressed that you could drag out the fact that javier was hesitant
Anything for that 10+ minute video.
im sorry but the way Javier is animated pushing the box 8:50
I noticed that. Because i repeated the mission several times
