    Running? Well if your right, that makes Floyd's performance all the more amazing. Canelo threw more punches than Mayweather, yet as Floyd was running away, as you say, he managed to land nearly twice as many punches than Canelo. Amazing, don't you think?

    Taller/bigger doesn't always make for a tougher fighter especially going against someone like Tyson who was built like a tank. Very compact. He had to go toe to toe with those taller guys because he didn't have reach. But he did have elusiveness. His head movement was unreal. Also, Tyson had to press the action because he wasn't a fighter built to go past 7 rds. I agree with you the art is extensive. There are just a lot of people who think a fight isn't good if someone doesn't get beat to death

    Sure, but at this point that is not a question that is out of left field. Although I do agree that after a fight when someone is so exhausted they can barely walk and talk, they are often asked questions that would be unreasonable for them to answer in the moment.

    Also found quotes from Fabio Matos saying "Roberto told me in the locker room the story about cramps was false...aware that he was being humiliated, he quit". Duran's manager Carlos Eleta said "he didn't quit because of cramps, he quit because he was embarrassed". His trainer said "this is terrible...I've handled thousands of fighters & I've never had anyone quit on me". These are quotes from Duran's camp. He threw his hands up & quit. Something Ray, Ali, Marciano, etc NEVER did.

    In the closing seconds of the eighth round, Durán turned his back to Leonard and quit, saying to referee Octavio Meyran, "No Mas." Leonard was the winner by a technical knockout at 2:44 of round eight, regaining the WBC Welterweight Championship. Leonard led by scores of 68-66, 68-66 and 67-66.[30]

    The boxrec source you gave me gives the judges score cards but it does not say in favor of who the score was given.
    My source CLEARLY says Duran was winning on the score cards.
    I also brought you a video where Leonard says that he told D.King to make the fight very soon because he knew Duran bloated inbetween bouts [thus Duran had no time to train].
    Durans team stated that he was out of shape before the bout.

    Have you ever watched the Tyson of the mid to late 80's ? That fighter stood toe to toe with taller/bigger fighters and beat them. You are to tell me because one doesn't use ONLY speed and elusiveness that one doesn't represent the ART of the sport ? Being a brawler doesn't automatically eliminate them from having ART ! The young Tyson had Power and threw combinations and set his opponents up to go down. That is ART too. Mayweather has a certain style but his style is not the ONLY ART there is !

    Well, Money is known for being a defensive fighter first and foremost. I wouldn't doubt it though since there's apparently been a lot of fixed fights in boxing. But I think Mayweather was just too experienced, fast, and technical. Everybody tries to beat him with power, but you have to use speed to beat speed IMO.

    I gotta give it to May, he avoided most of the punishment aimed at him, but in classic mayweather style, he does this knowing he cant risk dealing out any major punishment himself. I dont see how he can be a dudes favorite fighter. How can anyone have enough patience to sit through so many (what is essentially sparring) matches ending in a decision. I understand its strategy but DAMN, put ur opponent on his ass once in a great while. Atleast attempt to hurt him a tiny bit.

    The difference between Mayweather & Burley is;
    Burley was more active, Burley fought in a time when there was only 1 champion, no paper championships/paper titles, Burley fought in a time when there were 8 weight division, not 17 [like today], & Burley fought in a time before compubox.
    Burley also fought the best of his era & guys who outweighed him by 40lbs, something Floyd never did [Kostya, fighter of the decade pacman, paul williams, prime cotto, etc].
    Burley didn't admit to handpicking
