Mayweather would've come in harder and knocked him off in the first round or two. But that was not the game play, his whole play was to get Connor gassed. Yes Connor may have won the first 3 rounds but strategy won at the end. Mayweather clearly won no matter the technicals. MMA and Boxing are two different sports. Conor, proficient in many martial art disciplines went against the best boxer in the world who only knows one discipline and actually won several rounds against him. In my book, he did very well. He had no chance on paper and many boxing experts said he wouldn't even land a punch. Conor surprised many by doing as well as he did. But at the end of the day, Floyd is an amazing boxer, arguably the best ever and at the very least the best of this generation. If you hate on Conor for losing against the worlds best boxer, I don't know what to say. It was an amazing contest and the build up was out of this world. We will most likely not see something like this again for a long long time.

When boxing experts say he wouldn't land a punch they mean he wouldn't land a meaningful punch. Any fucktard can land a punch but in boxing the aim is to land a punch that counts. A punch that means something. Connor literally landed 2 meaningful punches - one uppercut in the early rounds and one low right hand body shot (which the ref called a low blow) to Floyd's hip in the later rounds which hurt Floyd a bit. So yeah the boxing experts were wrong but not by much. Two meaningful punches compared to dozens of meaningful punches from Floyd's is basically not landing a punch!
