I'm enjoying these tutorials. I've been taking tutorials from a few different channels. I definitely appreciate having different designers offering up these quick tutorials that simply show us concepts, and then turn us loose to be creative with our new skills. Definitely looking forward to more tutorials from you!
You are unbeliveable fantastic clean brainy help. God bless you from my heart. I am satisfied the first time with you. And continue we will ollow you sir.
Super helpful! My woodshop teacher asked me to learn this program so we can use it on my school’s larger CNC and asked me to teach my class how to use the program, these videos are really helping me learn it!
@ Gamergirl89, isn't that called child labour or exploitation? Shouldn't he at least be paying you some of his wages for doing his job? Next he'll be wanting sexual favours! (Trust me ;-). "Good morning class. It's lovely to see you all here again. Especially (insert your real name here unless you have really weird parents!)". A little while later once everyone else is busy pretend sword fighting each other with blunt chisels and screwdrivers and seeing how tightly they can G clamp their nipples, "I say, that's a very nice deep plunge blouse you have on young lady. Be careful you don't get any shavings down there or I'll have to put my hands in and scoop them out for you! Speaking of shavings, look at all that dust down the back of the CNC bed. Be a darling and bend over and sweep them out for me?" Oh, sorry, your teacher is female!! In that case.... wow, it's getting hot in here.... I need to open a window! OMG, you're actually male pretending to be female as a research project! In that case.... you have bigger issues than I do!
SupraSmart68 what?? Dude, it was part of the curriculum. I was the only one in the class with any sort of computer know-how plus this was a year ago, chill out. And please don’t make those weird comments. (I’m a minor)
SupraSmart68 You are not “supra smart”...you are a SUPER CREEP. Do you always tell stories of your sexual fantasies to underaged teenagers? Bc you just did. Just...gross. Consider yourself reported you disgusting excuse for a human being, and get a life.
Hi Richard, wonderful start to the series, looking forward to the next one. Videos are so much faster to learn from than the SolidWorks books or forums. The other day I was trying to figure out to create a belt mate, struggling with the forum suggestions, but after one quick video, I was done.
30 year mold designer here. Looking at different softwares to evaluate. Got any mold design tutorials? The 2 Iv'e seen so far were very informative. Thank you!
Once i have made a drawing with the 3 holes how do i make it bigger not in scale, so same scale but now I want a part like that, but say 12 feet long with holes in exact same scale still apart and in size?
Thank you for the helpful video. I'm new to SolidWorks and trying to figure out the best way to efficiently learn the software. Besides watching online videos, what do you recommend? I'm thinking about becoming certified...What first step would you recommend? Your guidance is greatly appreciated.
The way I learned was to find a real project to do. Something simple to moderate that you can design. Having a project to do forces you to learn on your own. Personally, I pick the most difficult challenges and break them down to simpler tasks but it depends on how you like to learn.
@@InventionTherapy Thank for your advice. I do have a project in mind that I can start with. Is there a third party company (online) that you like to use, for machining your parts?
Oh man... at 6:30 you have to keep going back to the rotate button to move the part around before you select each corner for the fillet? I wonder why they do it like that. Seems like Rhinoceros is a little more efficient at most things. Either way, totally wanna learn SW.
great tutorials !, im just wondering, would student solid works or an older less expensive SW software do the same thing or are you using the latest and greatest of SW 2018 ? again Thank you and keep making this great videos please
I'm a self taught engineer running and working in my own machine shop. I'd like to move into CAD/CAM to take my business forward but so far I can't afford to just buy something like SOLIDWORKS on the off chance that I might be able to use it in real life. Unfory the UK's vocational education system is broken. Is there any way that I can get to practice on the software without having to pay £2000 to lean the basics?
The cheapest way to get this program would be to participate in some competition like SAE Baja and asking for sponsorship form Dassault system. And the other way is very well known and I don't really need to tell you.😎
Onshape is the older, online version o Fusion 360, no? Not really a good choice for an inventor at this point. We prefer Fusion 360, Autocad Inventor or Solidworks.
Sometimes one loses track of the white mouse cursor/pointer in the white background. Could you add a yellow shadow, circle, around the mouse cursor/pointer? ua-cam.com/video/IOHBX23sMZw/v-deo.html

All versions from SW 2011 on are basically the same.

My offset entries was greyed out when doing the loop, sw 18
First select the top face and click "sketch"
What’s the cheapest way to get this program?
Solidworks is not exactly cheap in any version: www.solidworks.com/sw/purchase/solidworks-trial.htm
The cheapest way to get this program would be to participate in some competition like SAE Baja and asking for sponsorship form Dassault system.
And the other way is very well known and I don't really need to tell you.😎
Can you do: "How to use AutoCAD on a Chromebook" ? It's hard to use without all the PC sub menus
I use a MAC with Windows.
you can try onshape

Erased it a long time ago. Follow the video and you can make it yourself in a few minutes.
I felt cheated, I just kept learning 5 more mins about SW :P 😂
