AI companies will eventually own the copyright of all content created by those who use it. Right now we're in the free trial phase, even if they pay a monthly subscription. Eventually you will own nothing and you will be happy.
Even if it visually replicates, it will never replicate the real thing. Nothing beats the real thing. I also speak in the sense that AI cannot replicate a real human such as Bjorn in this video. I get what you mean by “not yet”, however. Just can’t replicate the real thing unless it’s a person who has no taste or care for the real thing.
Insects discern up and down through light. The Sun is up, and the Earth is down. Fish do the same thing and they orient themselves with the help of light. Insects aren't attracted to light itself. They instinctively turn their backs to it. It's a behaviour that is hard-coded into them. It's a behaviour that has worked for them for eons. The reason they fly around sources of light is because they're simply trying to reorient themselves, and since bulbs are small and earthbound, insects just become trapped in an endless loop around the source of light. As for why to insects don't fly into campfires... Well, they've also learned to avoid smoke and extreme heat. I apologize for sticking to this irrelevant detail, but I just figured it would be fun to share.

Amateur artist here, I cannot help creating art. it is my passion, and no amount of AI will change that. If we surrender to it, we loose ourselves, our unique abilities, and the joy of creating. AI is missing emotion, feelings, the imperfections that make art perfect. Rather like the Japanese that glue broken pots together with gold to create unique beauty. Please keep your heart felt connection and ignore the emptiness of AI. I've tried hearing books narrated by AI and only get through a few paragraphs before I stop because it hasn't got that human connection. It's glitter will fade eventually.
I love your posts. You are so grounded in reality. I write books to and the thought of a person being ok with letting it write their book seems so dishonest. They miss out on the joy of creating a work they can claim as their own in reality. Yes it's hard work, but a joy too. I'm so glad to see the real man that you are.
I began studying music as a child. My parents, who were poor, allowed me to attend a classical music conservatory. I continued to study and practice throughout high school and college. I now, many years later, am an accomplished musician. I play multiple instruments, write, arrange, produce and publish music today. However, after seeing what A.I. can do I’m considering calling it a life! All of my work is now worthless. First Napster, now this! You hit the nail on the head again brother.
And when the first gramophone record got released all those talented musicians went off to the tip with their instruments and as one body threw them over the edge never to play again! That's the biggest problem today is all those people practicing art for money. True creativity and real art died a long time before AI was ever a buzz word.
There is no soul in AI, you can bring life, emotions, and soul into your playing. The glitter of AI will eventually loose it's appeal and the purity of your musical talents will be honoured. So don't give up.
