I felt the same way after working 30 years for corporate America. I was sick and tired of being miserable and stressed, every single day. 6 months ago, I up and quit and I've never been happier. Took a job with very little responsibility and stress making 25% a year of what I was making but my mental and physical health has done a 180 degree turn. Thankfully my wife fully supported my decision..she said, you do what you have to do, I just want my husband back. Stay strong my friend, there's always a way.
Be cautious with starting your own business. I did this in 2019 then all this crap happened. It has its challenges and consumes you. Just plan well if you do. Make sure you can guarantee you have all your bases covered.

I understand totally mate, I turned 50 last year and found my mindset has completely changed. I agree. The essence of the human experience is to fight and struggle. When the people withdraw from the fight, the evil will rise and it will hound you where ever you go. Where society has failed is in its ability to pass down the core values and tools necessary to maintain human rights and liberty. Subversive forces have likely corrupted this process. If we don't re-engage in this fight, our kids and grandkids are screwed.
@johan 11 - it’s quite the opposite. The older you get, the more certain you are about yourself. Your self confidence should be high as you have had experiences in life which allow you to be able to know how to control yourself and not let them get to you. By a certain age you can be able to know the patterns. You can see that the wheel is always re-invented. With that knowledge you are able to know what truly means the most and what is most important in your life. The things that give you peace and connection. Whatever those things may be to you. With age comes wisdom. Celebrate this about yourself and remember them again!

It was great not to be in contact with people who were not judgemental. To be free to be yourself, to walk barefooted through the bush, to walk to the river and put your bare feet in and feel the pebbles under your feet, to hear the kookaburras, to just relax and enjoy and to breathe with intention and not subconsciously. If you're 33 and you realize this then you're ahead of most, as most will be lost until their death beds, having dedicated their lives to false and failed ideals. Focus on yourself and your family and your immediate closest friends. Don't get caught up in movements in the media or politicians.

I started feeling that way when I decided to live as who I really am. I knew I'd eventually have to come to terms with my truth and a lot of people in my life would disapprove but it's like as soon as I did the entire world shifted against me. Everything seems rigged to make me trip on every step I make even if I'm not bothering anyone. I want to be left alone. I practically am. Yet it's not enough for some people; they decide to go out of their way to torment me.
Young man, my wife and I accelerated our plans to move to the country, once we'd realised that this whole saga is based on BS! We bought our own private bit of Welsh hillside with a traditional stone cottage. Removed ourselves from society as much as possible. Thankfully, out needs and lnterests are simple living, home grown produce and the great outdoors, and anything that doesn't involve anyone else! One massive change now is, we'v reduced the chances of dissapointment making these changes and its now great living. Probably even at our peak of happiness and contentment. 🤝

My family's history goes back to West Virginia, and they were true hill people. I'm getting closer to going back to my family's roots, with each passing day, and living amongst like-minded people. The human spirit yearns for freedom. We suppress that at our own peril.
West Virginia has been my home my entire life, and I profoundly love it. It definitely has its enormous glaringly obvious issues... however, I'd never feel right living anywhere else... and frankly they'd have to somehow force me to leave these mountains... there is truly nobody quite like the folks born and raised here.

It's not just age. Though I am also same age and it's a lot easier to draw the line in the sand as a matured and life experienced male.

I feel the same way, but as a 21-year old who doesn’t own anything yet, everything is incredibly disheartening. I want land, I want to have that security of self-ownership and self-reliance, but it’s getting harder and harder to do so. I’m better off than most, at least I’m “awake” to all this, but it’s a frightening feeling as a young person, when they want to take everything away from you and you don’t have anything to even take except for the opportunity.
Same here, I'm 15, will be 16 very soon. I've barely even had a chance before all this shit started. But we have to hope there is something better for us out there then this.

My father was an alcoholic, ended up in a 12-step program, and that prayer became his guiding light. And I, as a young person hated it, reasoning "Feck that sheit, I/We can change anything if we want it enough and try hard enough."
He died a couple of years ago, dear old dad. And it was then that i saw and understood the Serenity Prayer truely. Even read it at his funeral.

Happens here all of the time. I always find other people's garbage on my lawn that I have to clean up. Candy wrappers, masks, which grosses me out to no end. I once found a huge plastic mattress cover on my lawn. Must have blown from the neighbors garbage. You think they'd secure it, but then again I guess I'm expecting too much from people. No respect, no consideration. Drives me crazy.

But I regularly backpack and canoe deep into the boreal forest of Canada and still find plastic bottles, wrappers, bags, and all other manner of crap people haul in with them, but find the much lighter, and more conveniently flattened empty containers more of a burden to carry out somehow.
And you bet these trash throwers are strong supporters of environmental politics, as long as there are harsh limitations put towards people. Double standards galore.
I'm tired of merely sitting and complaining too. I worked and studied all my life but now ,since my husband passed away, I am not defended. My son has joined them in disrespecting me...he Billy's me...I am not allowed to be one who thinks for herself makes her own decisions or speaks her own mind . I believe in Jesus so I am not appreciated or welcomed.

Thanks for talking that openly! To be honest i don't think this really is a matter of the age of a person but more of the age of time sort to speak. I'm only 24 and i feel very similar to that even though my time in the system has not been too long. I work hard for my passion (which is music) with no excuses and i recognize to be only but down and head a lot of problems due to the outside and current state. Not even thinking about giving up but it is nervewrecking!
And i can tell you that most of my friends feel the same way! Sometimes i think maybe everything is just made up by ourselves, as in every century but somethings tells me this is not true.

Just stumbled onto your channel and subscribed, Sir I can say I relate with everything you said and I'm nearly 32 early next year, feel the same way and in midst of all this chaos I want to be ready as much as I can to deal with whatever is to come.

That is exactly what i was looking for to post. This guy is the very definition, the poster boy if you will, of a man who wants to be left alone. There are more and more of them and their patience is now so frayed that a mere word would snap it. Dangerous times.
