- Flory Group Build 1944. This is a big kit' but not to hard fingers crossed lol.
Wanted to build this for some time and the time has come. the Dalek build seems not be that interesting for some. But subject held a lot memories, watching the Saturday night TV with my dad and family. This build will be fun, the painting is were it gets interesting. Happy modelling everyone.
Wow I didnt realise how big its going to be. You will need Plenty of paint for it. Will look forward to the build

Hi Paul, (Happy New Year) she certainly builds into a large boat. Looking forward to following your build on this. I’ve got the same kit and am at the point of painting, but like Ron I seem to keep putting that bit off…..😂
I’ve added a few extra details here and there, mainly on the tower but it builds into a great model in its own right.

@@militarymodellerpaul5932 Hi Paul, there were some images of the model on Pinterest that someone had included more detail within the tower which I stumbled upon and copied. For example there were a few pipes and a cupboard/ storage areas to the front and side of the tower, plus some other bits.
Despite doing a lot of research / hunting of images of the type 23 I struggled finding original detailed ones. I would gladly send you over some of the images, if your interested that I’ve captured off my searches but only do either e-Mail or what’s app. (Not very technical this end….😂)
It’s a great build in its own right either way and a great addition to the collection especially if you like submarines….👍
