My instructor really ruined me because of bad comments. After I failed my driving test, he said: no excuses, you are ruining my reputation. I can't go to driving right now.
@@walaaatrash2428 don't let anyone elses comment bother you. My instructor once said to me that I'm never gonna learn how to drive. Guess what, I passed a month later. Setbacks are temporary. You can always come back stronger. You got this..🤜🤛
I failed all my mocks and my instructor threatened to pull the test and shouted at me for absolutely everything to the point I was on the verge of tears, and he said he wouldn’t give me his car that I’d been practising in for so long on my test day, yet in my own car I passed first time and the test drive felt oddly relaxing; so never give up even when it feels like the world is falling apart and persevere through is my biggest advice
My instructor was really sweet, but he was patronising like he’d say to me, “you’re a woman you should be able to multitask” just cause I have boobs don’t mean I’m a woman. Anyway, he was telling me about one of his learners, she was in her thirties and he wasn’t her first instructor, she was so nervous in the car. It was all because her instructor shouted at her, told her he wasn’t letting her drive his car anymore, forced her to get out and drove away leaving her somewhere she didn’t know. I couldn’t think of anything worse, because I’d not be able to bite my tongue, I’d have to say something back.
I passed my test first time on Tuesday, my lesson beforehand was awful, I kept making silly mistakes and nerves got the better of me, felt very nervous at the start of the test but then I realised it’s the exact same as what you do in lessons and there was no need to worry, passed with one minor and the examiner was really friendly and made me feel at ease, you can do it Brandon you’ll be fine!

An hour before my test, I almost crashed into someone but passed with no faults at all. It’s not easy when nerves get the best of you. Wishing you all the best Brandon, we’re rooting for you🙌🏾
I think Pin's frustration stems from the fact that he's just as or even more anxious than Brendon about the test. Never seen him lose it before. Brendon took it like a trooper though, good luck to him.
My driving instructor also took me for a test run right before my test day and he said as we stated "ok let's get all your nervous mistakes out of the way so you can drive the way you normally do later" and that made me feel soooo much better (and I did do some stupid nervous mistakes) and I NAILED my exam
He’s so anxious bless him. I know exactly how he feels. The week before my test I was making stupid mistakes. I hope everything went well for you Brandon!!!
Brandon I honestly feel your pain… it’s just little mistakes, I’m in the same situation.. I’ve watched your journey and these videos have helped loads. I really hope you pass, as well as me! YOU GOT THIS MAN 🎉🎉🎉
What’s up with the hand break in England. Like in the Netherlands we never ever use them. Even when we park we put the transmission in 1 so the cars stays on his place when parked.
Yeah, exactly. Definitely shouldn’t be a reason to fail an exam. During my Dutch driving exam I didn’t even have a manual handbrake lol. Never used it (unless on a hill)
Failing is not the end of the world, you learn alot from what you failed from so you will never make that mistake the next time around, I failed 2 times and was much better the 3rd time with alot more confidence, I suffer with alot of anxiety which Contributed to my 2 fails. My husband helped with not letting me beat myself up about failing because becoming a good driver takes time. I've been driving 2 years now and have learned so much along the way.
@@UncleDavid5077 I’m 20, failed my test yesterday with 17 minors, mostly indication minors and checking the wrong mirrors :( all I can say is, don’t panic. Test day nerves definitely get the better of you, try to counteract that
Just had my third lesson and got home and burst into tears I know it's all very new and I shouldn't be hard on myself but I made a few mistakes which got to me as well as other drivers beeping at me. I'm trying to stay positive😩
Putting "I lost my temper" in the video title is hardly a good advert for this instructor or DGN Driving School. The fact that he didn't lose his temper is beside the point (he was just getting a bit frustrated as far as I could see), but seriously, why put that in the title, given the name of the channel? Is it just for views? Genuine question.
Got to get the clicks for the algorithm, even if it’s an exaggeration, if people realise the content is still good they’re less likely to complain about it. For me personally anyway I don’t mind being clickbaited if it was a good quality video
Yeah. If I were in the UK and were looking for a driving school and I stumble upon this, I might be left with a negative first impression. Not a great look for a school you're promoting. Sure it'll get more clicks with that title, but is it really worth potentionally smearing your reputation as a driving instructor for? To be seen as impatient and with a hot temper, as if there arent plenty of those already? That's taking a minor shortterm gain over a long-term business centric concern by losing potential new customers. Bit dumb
It’s not that deep… if you want to promote a school you want to be able to reach out to as many people as possible with the algorithm, bait titles sometimes is necessary in order to do that.
You can see that driving in the UK is difficult and the regulations are very strict and even nonsensical. That's why the driving instruction is a huge business, and they are now all realizing their success depends on marketing because their competitors will also turn to the internet. It's that simple. I don't see any problem with the title, I think it's very clever
I really like seeing people react and behave properly around learner drivers, the same as people moving and behaving properly for emergency vehicles, its just really nice to see. 6:13 is an example, the person doesnt push or try to intimidate and speed the driver up, waits, great distance away as to not pressure or put the learner off. You have every right to pass etc, but waiting is just the right thing to do, considering who you are waiting for.
Yeah I remember once I had to do a turn in the road and took me a few times but an older driver was waiting and afterwards he gave me a thumbs up it was lovely and gave me a confidence boost 😊😊 xx
Brandon you are a legend, you drive better than most people at this point. Instructors always looking for perfection and remember they would make mistakes too in your position. Love watching you even tho I already passed my test in Ireland with an automatic car!
During my mock driving tests I’ve been failing them and I wasn’t sure if my instructor would let me take the test, but I was allowed to take the test and thankfully I passed my test 1st time. I passed my test on the 27th July 2021, I have definitely improved since then and I still love watching your videos.
@@samuelavery3227 take as few paid lessons as possible. Such a waste of money and time consuming. Get yourself a cheap car (500 pounds or so), get it insured and get someone you know who has alot of driving experience to teach you how to drive, that way you get used to your own car and someone else's. I used to drive to and from work everyday with my dad, i only ever took 3 lessons and that was because my dad could teach me the ropes of driving.
@@axsiiuk2039 for me personally, I had 2 1 hour lessons with my dad in his car n the first lesson went well then the second I had a mental breakdown as I knew he didn't have dual controls, I've had about 25 lessons now with an instructor and it's better. Its good advice though I guess whatever works for everyone x
Watching your videos for the past two weeks has honestly taught me me things that maybe I couldn’t understand with my instructor. My exam is in a few weeks and honestly every video I’ve watched actually improved my driving test which my instructor confirms too. Thank you!!

Ahh, this reminds me of 8 months ago when I passed. I had a superb instructor just like Pin. My day when I had my exam, 1 hour lesson before the exam I made such big mistakes. Even tho I felt ready for the test, and did pass, my final lesson was a hell. Deep breaths, relax the mind. It’s just another driving lesson with an other person. Good Luck Brandon!🙏🏼
A piece of advice to you Mr. Instructor. You shouldn't ever tell your students you're getting frustrated or display any signs of frustration or irritation because your students will struggle even more. You're there to teach, not make them feel worse.
@@madelynwallis7015 Quite frankly its not wrong, its only wrong because you dont agree with it. Remember, subjective opinions are subjective opinions, including yours. People should welcome challenges as it pushes them to overcome them. If nobody overcame anything and things were handed to them, they would just immediately be defeatist and there would be no drive to accomplish anything.
@jerrybantamos9618 It really depends on how you bring it to them, obviously screaming and telling them in a angry tone will make them feel anxious which might cause them to perform worse during an real exam
Some instructors forget how nervous we actually are on the day of the test because not everyone talks about it and they think you are just making those mistakes on purpose
I've passed my test a week ago and man passing in uk seems a tad bit difficult compared to the rest of Europe. Good luck on your driving test Brendon, you got this!
These comments are making me feel a lot better lol, about the week before my test my dad went to take me to do a mock test type thing and I was so nervous and anxious I kept making all these silly mistakes (and some major ones) and everyone was getting so frustrated and disappointed with me I went home feeling so discouraged and guilty I thought I was never going to pass. Those days were absolute hell bc I also had other huge things going on in my life at the time and my feelings were just getting the best of me so I decided to just call the lesson because I was just going to keep making mistakes. I took about the whole week to just let it go and move on, tell myself that I was confident and that they weren’t going to ask me anything I hadn’t already done before. Finally come the day of the test I get a nice instructor with little wait time and I passed the test with flying colors. I was so relieved and amazed that everything had gone so smoothly after the train wreck of my pre test lessons bc I really thought I was never going to be able to drive lol. Those pre test nerves are really a beast!
I had mine back in august 2021, the day before I had a breakup of a relationship of 6 years I felt horrendous and physically sick for my test. The lesson before my test was also the worst ever, I kept making mistakes and were shaking with nerves, I had my test and passed first time with 2 minors. I felt so overwhelmed about it! Your videos for me through my journey as lockdown affected my lessons quite a lot! Xx
Oh Gemma, bless you. Really well done for passing your test, under that cloud. I do so hope you're feeling much Better by now and things are Fantastic for you. Love, Mel 🌻🍰
The day of my test was probably one of my worst driving experiences ever. I got a cancellation so only had about a weeks notice that I’d be doing my test. There was then a blizzard the day before so there was snow everywhere which I had never experienced before. On my way to the test with my instructor I stalled at a junction I’d driven loads of times before and for some reason panicked and stalled twice more at which point I couldn’t get the car to start again. We thought I had snapped the clutch cable as even my instructor couldn’t start it again but eventually he realised we needed to reset the clutch pedal and everything was fine. So we got going, now low on time to get to the test centre, I noticed as we were travelling at 60 down a dual carriageway that the bonnet was moving - we had popped it to try and fix the clutch but never opened it when we realised the actual problem so had set off without resecuring the primary catch. More panic, finding a safe place to stop in case it flipped up from the wind. Finally arrive at the test centre with a couple of minutes to spare and went straight into the test. Had a complete brain fade and couldn’t remember how to open the bonnet now to check the oil for my show and tell question and then needed two shunts to do the reverse bay park - thought I had failed there and then and spent the whole driving portion of the test dejected. In the end I drove really well and didn’t even get marked down for the manoeuvres, just got minors for driving too far below 30 in a built up area and a couple of observations. 13 years on I think the baptism of fire really helped make me a better driver.
Great video. Respect to Brandon, looks like he did well overall, just lacking concentration here and there, probably nerves. I did miss the edited pings for the driving faults, I'm left wondering if he would have passed here as his performance seemed to be free of major faults, maybe a few minors.
I think the fact that the instructor lectures him to give him a reality check shows he cares because he didn’t want him to fail as he knows he can drive ans they have worked hard with procedures and he is frustrated that bad habits are creeping in just before his test and doesn’t want him to fail. He gives clear explanations of the mistakes. Honestly he’s great instructor not buttering anything up
watching these back after passing, has shown me a lot. there’s always more to learn and always more to be cautious of. the nerves can really get to you, even if you’re a 10/10 driver, keep confident and stay sane! you got this!
Can relate a load to Brandon, knew how to drive and do everything but sometimes i just wouldn't have the focus and would do just stupid things. That talk you gave at like 29 minutes was basically word for word what my instructor said to me. Ended up passing first time with 1 minor because i was actually focused on the day of my test but if i had one of my bad days i would have probably failed with like 5/6 majors. It was really frustrating because i would know when i made mistakes, i would say right after i made them. in most of my lessons i would drive perfecty (my instructors words and not mine) but i waited for ages to actually do my test because i just didnt know whether id be having a good day or a bad one.
During my 1 hour lesson before my test, I was doing a forward bay park and overshot it to the point where I hit the wall in front but luckily there wasn't any damage to the car, I also thought that I was destined to fail because of that happening right before my test but actually somehow managed to pass first try with no minors, the best advice I can give anyone is just drive like it's just another normal drive with your family or instructor 👍
@@CharlesSmooth1 😂 No I hit the wall on the 1 hour you get before you do your test. After that I drove fine throughout my driving test, it was weird though because I'd never hit anything before that so it caught me completely off guard haha
So I'm not the only one. I've noticed talking the procedures out loud to myself helped my concentration and overall surroundings understanding so much. "ok no one's around I can go" and when a vehicle suddenly pops out at a roundabout "no I won't go" also talking out loud motivates me to check my surroundings more and I believe this also saved my exam, the examiner was like "do you do that often?" "pretty much, is that bad?" "well, not at all"
That's what my instructor told me to do on my test and it helped so much. You're not really supposed to talk during the test (at least at the place I went to) but he said he just wants me to pass.
5.04 was my exam. And i didn't pass because i was in roundabout waiting and then i start like slow move the car to get in the roundabout and one car from nowhere just pops out and when i realize that i need to brake the examiner brake it before me and said to me "are you blind you don't see the car is coming" i was rly on my nerve to say something but i stay calmed and apologize. But didn't pass bec of this situation.
My instructor just 10 mins before my test said he’s never met anyone as thick as me and I had apperantly 5 serious faults the same day my driving test was AND I STILL PASSED WITH 4 minors. Just be confident and PLANNING AHDAD IS UR BESTFRIEND. Just stay relaxed and aware of ur surrounding and preplan
I can’t stress enough how important the pre test lesson is I had my test yesterday Tuesday 2nd February and my lesson was awful , but aced my test first time with only 2 minors 🏁🏁
I had my test the same day as you and passed with one minor. The period of anticipation before you begin the test was a thousand times worse than the driving itself, as soon as I moved off I was solely focused on driving and forgot about the nerves. I was doing alright on my pre test lesson, but I did way better on my actual test.
@@lauslora6511 pre test lessons lets you get in the mindset of driving though, and it gives a last minute pointer to anything you ought to be aware of in your test. In the test it payed off a lot having had the practice and the extra awareness towards my positioning.

Ah Pin! This is basically how my driving instructor got when I was messing up basic things just before my test. First and only time she lost her temper with me. The result unfortunately for me was that I started crying and felt awful before my test. Glad Brandon took it better lol! Ps. The 1hr lesson before my test wasn’t the best either in terms of the parallel park manoeuvre when usually I get it bang on straightaway 😭 and that’s the manoeuvre I got on my test. Passed with two minors and am glad that is over and done with. I hope you’ve passed Brandon 🥺🤞🏽
I was the same, usually parallel park fine but on the 1hr lesson before took me three times 🤦♀️ and it was my manoeuvre on the test. I passed back in June with 7 minors last one was stalling in the centres car park when I got back 🙄
I never had a mock driving test, didn’t even have a lesson/much of a drive before the test - I was onto my third instructor due to health problems with my previous two (not as a result of my driving thankfully); I’m not sure I felt confident on a single lesson, it’s so difficult and nerve wracking! I passed first time with only 2 minors, the test is all about taking responsibility and driving steady/safely, if anything it’s easier to do that around someone new who hasn’t seen you make hundreds of mistakes before. Everyone struggles learning to drive, so hopefully anyone watching these videos doesn’t get disheartened by the process! The real test starts when you’ve passed, and you’re in full control every time, that’s why routine and good habits are so important at the learning stage; so many drivers make basic errors once they’ve passed.
I had a driving instructor speak to me like this once. I told him to fuck off and he quickly realised that he needs to respect his paying customers. That attitude did nothing but make him feel more pressure
did you actually say to him word for word to “fuck off”?😂😂funny but in all seriousness, what your saying is true. ill be taking my lessons in a weeks time and i hope i get a good, respectful instructor who can help me to succeed on the day of my driving test
Good on you!! Wish I had the balls to tell mine, saying that if he has a go at me next week before my test I'm gunna wait till after my test and tell him what I think. If I fail I'll just get a new instructor 😂

@@cerysholt9754 it could go either way ,some people became more nervous or anxious after that “wake up call” just before the test while some people are able to perform better after that wake up call so it is a 50/50 thing ,I would say it is risky to that just before the test .
My instructor told me to “get a grip” the morning of my test (before 7am I should add). I’m was a 25 year old woman at the time, had to remind him that I wasn’t some kid he could talk to like I was in school. I was confident in my abilities, passed first time 💁🏻♀️ Best of luck to anyone taking a test soon, you know yourself better than anyone and you will get there
I was in a similar situation. It was the test person who didn't make me feel at ease. He was just awful to me. When we got back he then spoke to my instructor as though I wasn't there. "Why is she doing this, why have you sent her on a test?!" I screwed up the failed test certificate and told him to get the F out of my car. I failed with 17 minors and 3 serious (which is fairly bad in hindsight but it was the test person). I took it again the following month, a different town, and a very nice man took the test. Needless to say I passed with 1 minor, he said it was a please to be a passenger in my car (I was 28 at the time).
Probably frustrated as he knows that Brandon is very capable and knows that he has what it takes to pass, just sometimes we can forget the simplest of things. I think brandon was nervous which would've made him overthink things leading to the messed up MSPSL/MSM, remember to always check mirrors before signal. Note that when bay parking you can open your door when stopped to double check your within the line on your side if needed. The best advice is what Pin gave, say what you must do as you do it, it is a part of the ADI and Advance Police Driving test, it helps you become more fluid with driving manouvers
My pre test lesson was the worst ever! It was so bad that my instructor admitted to me after the test that he'd spoke to the examiner and said it might be best to cancel the test because it was unsafe to have me on the roads 😳🙈 but the examiner convinced him to let me try. By the time it came to the test I had basically gave up and resigned to the fact I was going to fail which weirdly made me more relaxed. I did fail, he gave me two majors and zero minors. I didn't indicate in an empty carpark. It was a tiny gravel carpark, space for about 10 cars with no marked bays or anything. Second major, I drifted lanes slightly on a totally empty dual carriageway as I was checking my mirror while indicating to cross in to that lane. My instructor said the examiner was a total d**k for failing me but idk 🤷 I gave up for a few years after that but I'm getting ready to start lessons again. This channel looks like it'll be helpful 🙂
The instructor is not usually like this. It is because they are close to one another. Sometimes, it is best not to teach a friend or family member how to drive.
@@z_loro4126 dude, my driving test was with an old guy with an attitude, and on TOP of that my dad was in the backseat agreeing with every mistake the instructor made and giving me the death stare thru the mirror the whole time. the absolute worst possible outcome
No doubt the nerves before the test were affecting Brandon, the hour before my test the other day I was nervous and stopped in a yellow grid, I ended up passing with 4 minors though I’m sure Brandon has done well!
With the reverse parallel manoeuvre the best steps I learnt from my instructor was.. when I lock my steering left during reverse , get the car to 2 o clock, straight the steering wheel , reverse until I see my front door handle on the curb, lock steering to the right, when happy straighten up and you done. I memorised those steps and got it completely, something I was failing at all the time. Goodluck everybody
honestly that level of strictness makes you dislike a person, even though they are just trying to help you get better you end up sitting there just thinking "shut up you prick" lmao
My driving instructor gets angry with me sometimes. I find it reassuring because that shows they are dedicated and care about my success. Its better then a bad driving instructor who wants to keep you around for as long as possible just so they can get more money out of you.
I think it is Normal for driving instructor to get angry Sometimes,I passed 8-9months ago and I remember that sometimes I used to do stupid mistakes even tho I knew I was capable,my instructor used to get frustrated sometimes but because she used to get frustrated I was learning not to make the same mistakes again ,so for me it was helpful when driving instructor were getting frustrated.
Brandon just has test day nerves, had it myself for my test too, you can't even answer the most easy silly questions, it happens and is completely normal, just chill
ME TOO🤣 I passed My test September LAST year and I'm still watching.....🤣🤣 Why we doing that?? I just wanna see Brandon pass🤦🏾♀️ I think he's been trying for a year now. Bless him🤦🏾♀️
Must admit, it was frustrating to watch this. I passed first time, many, many years ago. My instructor told me on the practice test before the test he simply told me I was not ready and that it wasn't worth my effort trying the test. Sometimes you have to read your pupil. In the 25 odd weeks we'd spent together, he figured out my character and nailed it. I didn't go into the test nervous, I went in determined to demonstrate that I was good enough. Wouldn't work with all, but this is where the interaction and relationship between teacher and pupil is so important. Now I'm helping my daughter to drive, these videos are invaluable for me to assess her abilities!! Thanks
I am having anxiety just by watching this video. Got my test soon and I see you Brandon! I feel you brother!!! It is all because of the nerves, when I drive with my friends I drive so well, when I drive with my instructor I often do silly mistakes.

i hope he passed this time bless him! from the way brandon talks, i get the impression he over thinks everything he does and justifys what he does with a long explination, he just needs to let everything happen abit more naturally and not complicate things for himself, on my test i found if i didnt over think everything that way the driving became more natural for me.
@@Shortyplayz They do mate, if you drive by the test standard's they expect you to; -Check the Centre mirror EACH time you change your speed, even if it's the smallest amount of speed. -Check the sides each time you turn, even if it's obvious no one is there, this is why they drill the MSM routine into you, so you don't get marked down for this. -Check blind spots constantly, even if there is a literal wall behind you, you can fail the Emergency stop for this reason, even if you stop perfectly, if you don't check BOTH blind spots moving off, they consider it dangerous. -Essentially drive as though cruise control is there, if they see you driving 2-3 over constantly, they will mark that down. -They have a fetish for the handbrake, if you don't use this each time you stop in traffic, it's considered risky and they mark you for it. -Robotically keep checking around yourself when you park somewhere, even if it's more than clear no one is around you. ALL of these things are all done as a box-ticking exercise, I would be exhausted if I had to drive like that each time I got in the car, I'll admit I am very careful with my speed to keep it bang on due to camera's, but other than that.... it's all extra lol
@@Shortyplayz I will agree with you that the idea is technically to keep other's safe BUT it's still over-complicating it. I have my test in three weeks and am making a few mistakes and have a few bits to work on but these people in the comments saying they are doing the same and passing is giving me more confidence!
My test was on a Friday afternoon and on the Tuesday after getting home from my lesson I cried my eyes out as everything went wrong. Fast forward to the Friday and I passed with 6 minors. I think it's the pressure of the test coming up that week and I'm not sure how helpful it is when the instructor is harsh. Well done Brandon on passing your test and getting your car!
I've been watching and analysing your videos because they really hepled me to learn on peoples mistakes and I passed my test today. Keep up the good work❤
Wish I hadn't just taken a drink of tea when Pin repeated "Position, speed, LENGTH?" :D Sure we all had a few tense moments while learning. Sure you'll pass soon, Bran!
for the parallel parking, he should’ve measured up his car with the car to his left exactly and then full lock straight away whilst progressing slowly then when he can see the license plate start to straighten the wheel. That would make your parking perfect .
hopefully you have passed... your uncle is a good instructor and i have a gut feeling you will be alright.. at the end of the day even though it is fustrating, this is a test and you can do this many times as you can... don't relax and just focus on the road, speed and what YOU are doing on the road and nothing else.. good luck.
i used to lose concentration a lot on lessons. my instructor would get frustrated and rightly so, only trying to make sure u pass at the end of the day
I did the same thing, the lesson before my test I jumped a red and blocked at least 5 people. But still passed the test. It’s definitely just nerves, I’m sure Brandon will pass 👍🏽
I am from South Africa so, I guess I cant really give much in terms of this course. But, I can say this...I failed my drivers 3 times. In 2016 I failed twice and I gave up. But my life was changing. I needed my drivers badly to get work. So in 2020 I got myself together.....and would you know it.....I failed. But I decided...one more try. I worked at it. Practicing constantly. As I finished to road test for what will be my last time...I was convinced I failed..And in actual fact I passed. So what I want to say is...dont give up. You WILL get there. You only truly fail if you give up. Driving gives you a life and opportunities. Also driving gets easier. Its always scary at first. But it does become second nature.
Wow Pin, I've never seen you like this - you were pretty harsh throughout, not just with Bran's "look" answer but notably during the manoeuvres too! I can tell you're nervous for Bran to pass his test. Hopefully you didn't rattle him too much :-)
Hope you passed, I passed my test today 1st time and the videos of the two of you have been as valuable as some of my lessons, so need to thank you both!
What a playlist (Brandon's Driving Lessons). To go from learning, to frustrating your instructor as an experienced learner on the day of your test, to actually passing then taking your instructor out in your first car? MINT! Gives me so much confidence for test day. Cos I do feel like a dunce every time I'm with my instructor, I'm like, "How the fuck am I gonna pass if she's on my case like this?" But at the end of the lesson, she says "Good job, you did well," and I'm like, "OH... yeah, yeah, thanks." Can't wait to get this over and done with!!!!
Did my first mock the day before my test. 13 faults including what would have been a major when I didn't look pulling out the car park. Next day 4 faults and a pass. Sometimes it's the day. Don't let bad moments ruin your confidence!
I find it so helpful having an hour driving before your actual test. It sets you out on what things can you pick up before doing the real thing like for example any errors or things which you need help on more like manoeuvres. I passed first time and the extra hour worked well. I was so nervous before. But I didn’t let my nerves get the best of me!
I just passed my drivers test today, I live in the US. I began driving last July and I took my first test in December and I failed almost immediately. I turned left when the cars coming in front of me had the right of way, and the examiner had to intervene. He made me pull to the side and switch seats and told me I had failed then, and that he was being generous to me by even allowing me on the road because I failed the parking part before actually even getting on the road. Today, I passed my road test. Trust the process guys, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Congratulations!! And same!! I failed my first one before I even left the parking lot cause I did a rolling stop. Usually I don't but I was so nervous, and then I took an hour lesson right before my test the next day and passed.
I think Brandon bro, you just need to get more focused, have the end goal in mind, which is to be a safe independent driver. Don't take Pin for granted. To do so, got to just iron out your flaws, focus, and keep refining your skills.
Brandon needs an experienced driver to take him for a spin on a different route and not help him out unless they're about to die. He doesn't take responsibility of the car or his life he just drives and follows instruction.
I hit the kerb and didn’t stop at a zebra crossing when I should’ve during the lesson an hour before my test and I passed with 0 minors. Pre test nerves can make you do all sorts of things!! Wishing Brandon all the best!!

Bit dumb
To get a reaction like yours. Gives him more views and grows the channel.

Tough job Pin, you’re one of the best instructors out there! Great to see Brandon trying so hard you both deserve a good result !
Me and this Pin guy would not get on. I think drivers forget how hard it is when people are learning.

So I'm not the only one. I've noticed talking the procedures out loud to myself helped my concentration and overall surroundings understanding so much. "ok no one's around I can go" and when a vehicle suddenly pops out at a roundabout "no I won't go" also talking out loud motivates me to check my surroundings more and I believe this also saved my exam, the examiner was like "do you do that often?" "pretty much, is that bad?" "well, not at all"
I do something very similar to that and I do find it helps. Good to know it isn't just me haha
That's what my instructor told me to do on my test and it helped so much. You're not really supposed to talk during the test (at least at the place I went to) but he said he just wants me to pass.
5.04 was my exam. But didn't pass bec of this situation.
After this i don't wanna drive anymore.

CONGRATULATIONS 🍾🥂
Congratulations! How are you finding it so far?
As much as i understand his reasons for getting frustrated cant help but feel this not the best for his confidence just before an exam
Agree I felt so bad for Brandon :( but then again it’s like a “wake up call” and hopefully made him get it into his head for the test
Agree, think Pin forgot to take his morning coffee!
@@cerysholt9754 it could go either way ,some people became more nervous or anxious after that “wake up call” just before the test while some people are able to perform better after that wake up call so it is a 50/50 thing ,I would say it is risky to that just before the test .
@@Omar-kl3xp 100%! I’d be the one that becomes more anxious because I’d just keep thinking about it 🤣
My instructor told me to “get a grip” the morning of my test (before 7am I should add).
"Why is she doing this, why have you sent her on a test?!"
I screwed up the failed test certificate and told him to get the F out of my car. I failed with 17 minors and 3 serious (which is fairly bad in hindsight but it was the test person).
I took it again the following month, a different town, and a very nice man took the test. Needless to say I passed with 1 minor, he said it was a please to be a passenger in my car (I was 28 at the time).
@@begbouldme5826 17 minors and 3 serious jheeez
you where in school actually...and lol this is why women should go to the military...you will get more than a grip...
But you were in school. in DRIVING SCHOOL.
"you know yourself better than anyone and you will get there"
Sounds bit...narcistic to me.
@@willblack8575 don’t generalise a whole gender based on your opinions. Come on man, we’ve progressed further than that level of misogyny! Do better.
I’ve never been so nervous for someone I’ve never met in my life 😂 hope he passed 🤞
Seems like a very stressful pre-test lesson tbh
😂
Yes I AGREE!!!! Pin was just leaving poor Brandon RATTLED!!!!
I Didnt love that for Brandon.
The instructor is not usually like this. It is because they are close to one another. Sometimes, it is best not to teach a friend or family member how to drive.
@@darylemmanuel4747 100% God, I can only imagine my dad teaching me to drive. His blood pressure would be threw the roof by the end of the lesson😭
@@z_loro4126 *enters the car*
dad : you have failed
@@z_loro4126 dude, my driving test was with an old guy with an attitude, and on TOP of that my dad was in the backseat agreeing with every mistake the instructor made and giving me the death stare thru the mirror the whole time. the absolute worst possible outcome
No doubt the nerves before the test were affecting Brandon, the hour before my test the other day I was nervous and stopped in a yellow grid, I ended up passing with 4 minors though I’m sure Brandon has done well!
"don't be reluctant to go straight away" - brandon
With the reverse parallel manoeuvre the best steps I learnt from my instructor was.. when I lock my steering left during reverse , get the car to 2 o clock, straight the steering wheel , reverse until I see my front door handle on the curb, lock steering to the right, when happy straighten up and you done. I memorised those steps and got it completely, something I was failing at all the time.
Goodluck everybody
I respect the fact that the strictness can help you improve and only doing it to be safe but that level of strictness puts way to much pressure on me
Hes a grown up he can take some pressure
i mean, if the strictness of the rules put too much pressure on you then maybe you shouldn't be driving
@@Shortyplayz I mean i didn’t say it was to much to handle, i’m just saying that it puts a bit of pressure on me. So calm down Mr miserable 😂😂
honestly that level of strictness makes you dislike a person, even though they are just trying to help you get better you end up sitting there just thinking "shut up you prick" lmao
@@jamesroberts8317 you said that it puts too much pressure on you implying that it’s too much to handle. If you can handle it then it isn’t too much
My driving instructor dad told me to cancel my test 1 week before but I was like noooo! And 1 week late I WENT AND PASSED!
My driving instructor gets angry with me sometimes. I find it reassuring because that shows they are dedicated and care about my success. Its better then a bad driving instructor who wants to keep you around for as long as possible just so they can get more money out of you.
I totally agree with that.
I passed my test 3 months and I’m still watching these for some reason
ME TOO🤣 I passed My test September LAST year and I'm still watching.....🤣🤣
Why we doing that??
I just wanna see Brandon pass🤦🏾♀️
I think he's been trying for a year now. Bless him🤦🏾♀️
@@hotcoco8324 why are you commenting and replying to every single comment for 😂😂
Must admit, it was frustrating to watch this. Thanks
I passed last week with 1 minor, watching your videos definitely helped me prepare for my test, thank you!
I am having anxiety just by watching this video. Got my test soon and I see you Brandon! I feel you brother!!! It is all because of the nerves, when I drive with my friends I drive so well, when I drive with my instructor I often do silly mistakes.

Romans 6.23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

i hope he passed this time bless him! from the way brandon talks, i get the impression he over thinks everything he does and justifys what he does with a long explination, he just needs to let everything happen abit more naturally and not complicate things for himself, on my test i found if i didnt over think everything that way the driving became more natural for me.
Thats my problem with the driving test procedures. They over complicate things for learners to the point they mess up like this.
@@milouvandaam506 they dont over complicate anything
@@Shortyplayz They do mate, if you drive by the test standard's they expect you to;
-Check the Centre mirror EACH time you change your speed, even if it's the smallest amount of speed.
@@Mike-co1fd that isn’t over complicating it, that’s just keeping others safe
@@Shortyplayz I will agree with you that the idea is technically to keep other's safe BUT it's still over-complicating it.
The fact that the tester has a dedicated marking sheet waiting on you to miss these proves my point, if the Driving test was to just observe you and purely judge on how safe you drove rather than oh he missed x amount of Mirror checks, it would be way more fair.
Bro took his time for everything he was doing lol, I need that type of calmness
Skip to 13:46 if you are as annoyed as I was with the super slomo parallel parking.
Keep up the good work❤
Well done!
I keep watching your videos, even though I live in another country and I just got my learners license this week.
Thank you for watching the channel and well done on passing your test
Wish I hadn't just taken a drink of tea when Pin repeated "Position, speed, LENGTH?" :D
Sure we all had a few tense moments while learning. Sure you'll pass soon, Bran!
for the parallel parking, he should’ve measured up his car with the car to his left exactly and then full lock straight away whilst progressing slowly then when he can see the license plate start to straighten the wheel. That would make your parking perfect .
Bruh seeing pin get frustrated over Brandon- a top quality driver, gives me no hope of ever passing
That’s why he’s frustrated lol because he knows he can do it
hopefully you have passed... your uncle is a good instructor and i have a gut feeling you will be alright.. at the end of the day even though it is fustrating, this is a test and you can do this many times as you can... don't relax and just focus on the road, speed and what YOU are doing on the road and nothing else.. good luck.

i used to lose concentration a lot on lessons. my instructor would get frustrated and rightly so, only trying to make sure u pass at the end of the day
Nerves affect people differently but you generally have the patience of a saint :)
I did the same thing, the lesson before my test I jumped a red and blocked at least 5 people. But still passed the test. It’s definitely just nerves, I’m sure Brandon will pass 👍🏽
Damn 😂
Hopefully you didn't rattle him too much :-)
Yeah I think he just knows he’s capable and wants him to pass so it’s frustrating when silly mistakes are made. Fingers crossed he did it 😁
Probably bc he doesn't want him to fail for the 2nd time
Yeah I think it’s because it’s a few little things he doing when he’s up to test standard
They get frustrated because they are worried about their passing rate statistics, not because they're worried (or care at all) about their students.

i managed to pass first time the other week, glad i can watch your vids for enjoyment now!!
Cos I do feel like a dunce every time I'm with my instructor, I'm like, "How the fuck am I gonna pass if she's on my case like this?" But at the end of the lesson, she says "Good job, you did well," and I'm like, "OH... yeah, yeah, thanks."
Can't wait to get this over and done with!!!!
Well done on passing your test

Congratulations!!!
