hello, I know this is ‘lazy-itis’ but, like you, worry about using harsh chemicals. When I’ve cleaned the body of my oven I put the racks and rack supports through a hot wash in the dishwasher. The only thing is to get them out before the drying part of the programme starts as any gunge not completely scoured off tends to set like enamel. I was blessed with being able to be at home for my family, now in their 50s/60s! The only things I couldn’t tackle were haircuts and shoemaking/mending. Like you I love my husband and home, married for 62years and a card of congratulations from the Queen which I call my ‘long service award’. Best wishes Pat Hughes.
I love LOVE when you talk about your cleaning schedules and routines! It's so inspiring and gives me inspiration of things to try. When you talked the other day about doing an hour of chores and then an hour of something you want to do I thought it was downright revolutionary!! Now I'm off to see how disgusting my dishwasher is!!! ;)
I like looking after my things it helps them last longer, I'm sure Bill will appreciate you decorating his room, Im going to clean my washing machine dispenser thank you for reminding me xx
My dishwasher was disgusting until I started making my own dish powder, it has cut the gunk down significantly. The filter still gets grotty but the rest is so much better. Have to wonder if its the essential oils I use that cuts down the mucky stuff....hot tub babe, looks a beautiful serene place to sit awhile. I so feel you re wanting to be home with your family.... to quote a certain person 'there's no place like home' xx

I think your dishwasher gets all sludgy is because you don't rinse the plates, etc before putting them in. That is the residue of the food what is building up. I always run them quick under the hot water first. Maybe this will help.
Hi Gayna, For a minute there I thought I had clicked on the wrong video, when I heard you say “Just let me clasp you between my thighs”!!! 🤣😂 And the comment about being a medieval guard had me laughing out loud. You so looked like a character from Monty Python. I totally get where you’re coming from. I don’t mind visitors but it stresses me out when people stay over or if I stay at other people’s houses. Like you it’s an anxiety thing but also I’m an introvert and when people stay I don’t have anywhere to escape from them to recharge my socialising batteries. 😊 Loving your videos. ❤

I'm one of the weird ones that enjoys doing all the odd bits and bobs of housekeeping like the ones you did today. Since I've been retired, I get great satisfaction from cleaning all the appliances and getting into all the nooks and crannies of the house. No one else knows that I do it but that doesn't matter. I know it's been done. I'm also a big believer in baking soda and buy the big boxes at Costco.
I think you might be thinking of Tion Medon from Star Wars.... that's who it reminded me of anyway! I think your idea about splitting up the home chores is great... it makes everything less overwhelming!

I enjoy watching you do your jobs, gives me oomph to get on with my own. On Mondays I set a timer and do 15 mins jobs and 30mins things I want to. Helps with the head space. I know the wanting to close the door and nest anxiety thing too. Have you had an MOT and a hormone balance test? I went into menopause at 47 and it explained so much! Just a thought 🤔x

With the balcava you could have done the last few rows in red or orange and then made a mohawk fringe on the top. Am certain boys would have loved it. my hands hurt when I spin or knit wool too, though today are hurting with alpaca. Interesting to see others routines as until 2016 was working as second shift nurse having to do overtime often in the 39 yrs. Even before had little kids had to multitask everything. I really didn't know anyone but working nurses and we all were dealing with things the same way. a lick and a promise... now at 66 am seeing how the other half lives!
Speaking of fun tasks 😂 not really ! Haha Do you brush your little dogs teeth ? I never knew that was a requirement..and today our Oliver had to have all his teeth pulled . He’s a 9.4 pound Schnoodle...11 years old . I hope it prolongs his life. Our house was so quiet and sad today, while he was at the vet hospital , just a tip..do it , before it’s too late . 🐾💫
Margos mouth is so small you can’t really get in to clean her teeth…even if she would let me; which she absolutely refuses to let me. Bits and growls and shakes and sets herself. It’s awful. I have them done regularly at the vets and it costs me a fortune. X

I do all my mucky jobs on Sunday. But it is great to have a schedule and then they don't get overwhelming.
