This full video has 3 MUSERS, a fog machine, and Chris definitely proved he's the beast! 😊 Matt probably wanted to break something, but NOT their own instruments. He probably tested them out after the show....
I was at a gig just up the hill from this in 1992 where all of the members of MUSE played but in other bands, they were called Gothic Plague & Fixed Penalty, this was a Christmas gig in 1992.
LOL "Ladies and gentleman please show your appreciation for the band-" WE HAVENT FINISHED YET! This really tickles me knowing they now sell out every venue they perform at
And several years later when Showbiz came out, those specialists at the English music press called those boys copycats of Radiohead. That's just lazy reporting. Bellamy has a gift that the trio fulfills from the start.
Yeah, I love Radiohead, bit Muse does not sound anything like them. It was probably because of the falsetto singing both Matt and Thom do. Lazy journalism indeed.
this givesme new found hope if i sound like him 3 years younger than he was here- but i will never get to how good he is now, its just hope im not finished and can become good at singing, im good at guitar already though- thanks for sharing
Saw this comment and realized I was already subscribed to you lol. I also feel this gives me hope in starting a band one day. Definitely the singer I’ve never been one with instruments 😅

Think I'm getting some vibes that are a bit along the lines of Silverchair, but this was a year before Silverchair came onto the scene. Perhaps this was the result of inspiration from Nirvana that impacted a good number of young bands at the time. Crazy to think how much their sound changed in just a few years leading up the the release of the first album. Seems like that coincided with Jeff Buckley and Radiohead coming into the scene close to when this was filmed.
The Nirvana worship is strong with them here. If you told me they were playing unknown Nirvana tracks, I’d believe you. Even their look is Nirvana. Crazy.
Ten years later i saw them for the first time.....heres the line up from Endfest 2004.....Metric, Muse, The Psychedelic Furs, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, X, Violent Femmes, Franz Ferdinand, Echo & the Bunnymen, The Presidents of the United States of America, Twink the Wonder Kid, Leuko, Schoolyard Heroes, The Lashes, Idiot Pilot, Harvey Danger, Super Deluxe[8].......except Muse played third.....it was light out and the cameras werent on and they were still the best that day and forever!!!!
Thanks, this is pretty good stuff (considering the sound quality). Certainly would have picked it as Muse! Def shades of Nirvana, a bit of Smashing Pumpkins... The Violent Femmes, the Cure... I don't know... It's that 3rd or 4th track (about 9:15) anyone know?
God. This is 5 years BEFORE I saw them live first. What did I miss? Doms drums 🥁 sound like cardboard boxes. No wonder they smashed everything at the end.
Повезло тем, кто видел и слышал на этом концерте группу “Muse”, потому что через каких-то лет 7-10 они будут собирать стадионы и устраивать невероятные концерты.

Maaan, I'd love to witness their toddlers era... way before they got signed in December 98. Dom and Matt were GP. Chris was FP.
no way... that is AWESOME!!

Look and them so young!! And look at them now. I had the pleasure of seeing them in Manchester in September. One of the best concerts I’ve been to.
I would love to hear this beautiful grungy songs played by todays muse on a whole new album! Amazing songs!
Absolutely seconded!!!
Matt….so young and already so charismatic!my opinion…😍😍
1:20 that's pretty much the riff that later appears in Dead Star!
Very similar, but this one sounds like a higher key (I think it's a half step).
Yup, it is! I prefer the lower and louder, Dead Star. ✨
@@tutsybassistaI guess this is before they discovered tuning to Eb.

Wow, great to see the early stages and the green shoots off potential. And equally inspiring to see how much they progressed in less than 5 years!
Does help when your dad was a star with contacts in the music industry... Not undeserved of course, muse are amazing!
This is MUSE at their Nirvana phase! LOL I love how fresh and young they were.

I'd say that's just how young people who liked anything related with rock music looked back then xD

If I recall right, yes, they did win and it was what make them take the band in a serious way, thanks to this we have Muse 30 years later.
